Love this house!

There will be more to come about the new place but for now I will say I adore this house. We need to put some work in and life is busy but it's such a great house and it's so peaceful here. We are very grateful! This was the view I caught when I looked down the hallway from my bathroom. My phone didn't quite catch how pretty it was.

Lost One!

Some sweet little girl lost her first tooth last night. Both her front top teeth were very loose. She was so excited for the tooth fairy to come that she had me wiggle it out.  When we got it out there was a little blood and her eyes got big.  I let her know that was normal.  Jade pointed out how she didn't cry like Teagan.  That is a story for another time.  She got four quarters and now she can't wait to get the other out.  She was a little worried about looking "weird" at church because the other tooth is kinda hanging out but she got over that really quick.  Gauge was so cute.  He wanted to get in the picture too.  My little girl is growing up!

Got His Weblo

So my cub scout stripped off his uniform before I could get a picture but he got his WEBLO badge. Yeah! He nearly got his Arrow of Light too but that was by mistake. He hadn't quite earned it yet but next pack meeting for sure. I love the scouting program and I'm so proud of Teagan's hard work.

She read is by herself.

I think Jade has been able to read by herself for a while but she didn't quite have the reading confidence she needed. It made my heart so happy to see her so pleased to be reading and then so happy to read to her brother. I love her!

Riley's Apple Farm

Our first official field trip of the year for Discovery Days. That is our little homeschool group. It was Kim Mora's turn to plan it and she set up Riley's Apple Farm. It was pretty neat. The kids really had fun.  Is there another time they will get a chance to right with a quill.  You wouldn't believe how much they enjoyed that.  The learned how apples were dried in the old days, how to wash laundry with a tub and washboard and then hang in on the line.  I really enjoyed the garden.  They learned to shave (with popsicle sticks).  There were life size lincoln logs.  We went on a hayride and learned about the history of the area.  The kids made apple cider.  Oh they panned for gold.  That was a blast for Jade & Gauge.  The big boys went and did archery and knife throwing I think.  We went back to the stage areas and made kazoos.  So much fun.  At the end we shared a yummy caramel apple and the kids picked a toy.  Gauge picked an old fashioned top.  Jade a pretty horse and Teagan a gyro wheel.  I thought it was kinda need that they all picked such simple toys.  All and all it was a big success!  Oh and I can now identify stinging nettle.
