Graduation

Bryce graduated from Preschool today. He had a great time in school and will miss going to school and seeing his friends. During the program, when he was asked what he liked the most about school he said,"recess". I think Bryce will really miss singing all the songs and coloring and learning new things. Bryce seemed a little disappointed with the graduation ceremony. I guess he wasn't disappointed but he was expecting something different. After the graduation he said, "But that wasn't like Jordan's graduation". Bryce went to his Uncle Jordan's High School graduation last year and I guess he was expecting it to be like his graduation.

Here is a picture of Bryce with his "diploma".

Bryce and Mrs. Starr.
Brandon and Brinley were really good during the graduation. They are soooo excited to start preschool. Here they are catching up on a little reading after the graduation.
Congratulations Bryce!!

Star Wars.... again

My Mom and Dad along with my brother Thomas are going to meet my youngest brother Micheal in Russia as he finishes his mission. They decided to come to our house and spend the night as they will be leaving tomorrow morning. Bryce could not pass up the opportunity to pass out all of his Star Wars lightsabers, blasters, and costumes for everyone to use. Here are a couple of pictures of the fun.
Darth Vader is leading the pack.

R-2 is just happy to be here.

Old Ben appears to have dropped something.

Anikan is giving a new meaning to the term "double chin".

Together we are going to defeat the dark side. (Darth Vader will bring balance to the force. There is still good in him)

Star Wars

If you haven't heard, Bryce REALLY likes Star Wars. He saves all of his money and buys Star Wars toys and costumes. Misty recently printed and laminated some masks so he can pretend to be all of his favorite characters. Bryce cannot play alone so he has me pretend to be his friend and at times his enemy. This is just before we started fighting Misty. Jedis always have time to take pictures.

We usually switch characters after a few minutes. Bryce is in charge of designating the characters and the color of the lightsaber. It is very important that you do not have the wrong color.

Bryce can usually be found "practicing" with his lightsaber.

Does Bryce make a better Obi-Wan Kenobi or Anakin Skywalker?

You have got to see his Yoda!! Hilarious.

Misty's Vacation

Misty and her high school friends decided to go have a retreat. That means only one thing. Party while Misty is gone!! When the cats away, the mice play! Bryce was so excited to be able to watch a movie with Dad and eat popcorn.

Misty left on Friday just after 12:00. I was trying to feed the babies at the same time. Brinley was supposed to be drinking her bottle while I fed Brandon some baby food. I went in to check on Brinley and she wasn’t drinking she was just playing with her bottle.

I switched babies and started to feed Brinley some apple sauce. I got Brandon all set up and drinking…

When I returned to Brinley she was having fun. Brinley will reach for everything and sure enough she was able to get the bowl of apple sauce.

She was pretty proud that she ate all of her food.

Bryce was busy changing into all of his costumes. Here is a picture of him in his Knight costume.

Roberts craft just got a new manager so they had a party and a little celebration. We all packed up and went for the free “goodies”. Bryce had a fun time. Here he is with his “spoils”. He got some popcorn, lemonade, and some candy from the bean bag toss. They said they had some cotton candy in the back of the store, but when we got back there it wasn't up and running.

Brinley wanted a picture with Bryce’s balloon.

Bryce was really good to keep Brinley entertained. She loves her older brother Bryce.

I was feeling pretty worn out so I thought I would take a short nap. I went into my bedroom and remembered that the sheets were in the laundry.

Since I couldn’t take a nap I found the next best thing. A piece of banana cream pie. (This was Misty's pie. Sshh. Don't say a word ;-)

Bryce and I watched a movie to finish off the night. While we were watching our movie, Grandma and Grandpa Byington stopped by for a visit. It was a fun day, but we can’t wait for Misty to get back.

St Louis

I went to St. Louis for two weeks for classroom instructor training. It was fun and I was able to see a couple of Cardinal baseball games. I went to two games. They have a voucher program that anyone can buy a voucher for $11.00. The voucher is good for two tickets. They give you two tickets 15 minutes before the game starts. These tickets were not going to be sold so you could get a ticket anywhere in the stadium. This is the view from the first game. These particular tickers were regularly $30 a ticket.

This is the view from the second game. They were $80 per ticket. I only paid $5.50. What a deal!!

I went up in the arch. It was pretty cool.

There were some old historic buildings that I was able to see.

I even brought home some souvenirs.
