Keeping Elsa Busy!
Thank goodness for the snow! I had a chore for Elsa to do this morning! She worked hard for a while but finally got cold and had to come in.
When I said to her,
"Elsa, it's so cold! How can you stand it?!"
She replied,
"I stand it for money!"
Oh Elsa! The money obsession is really something!

A New Friend, A New Doc, And A New Trick
Today was a big day for the Johnson Girls!
Elsa made a new friend after school. Everett, the cutest little boy from up the street, came to pick Elsa up for a playdate. Believe it or not, she was nervous about meeting this new friend! He came in, walked up to her and said, "My name's Everett, what's your name?" She said, "Elsa" and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship! Elsa grabbed her Build-A-Bear kitty and they were off!
Don't you wonder what they're talking about?
Ava got off the bus and said, "Ann Marie told me to meet her in the back yard!" Here she is playing with Ann Marie's bunny.
She told Grandma, "It's so fun having a next door neighbor!"
Ava's afternoon took a turn for the worse at the pediatrician's office. Elsa was trying to be supportive but added a lot of anxiety with her comments, such as,
"Ava, I wonder how many shots you have to get?"
"Ava, how are you feeling about getting shots?"
"Ava, do you think you are going to cry when you get your shots?"
Ava's whole appointment was anxiety-ridden and was made worse when the pediatrician said she has a build-up of hardened ear wax and he tried to scrape it out with a little tool. In the end, Ava sat on my lap as two nurses, one on each arm, jabbed her with her missing vaccinations! Three shots and one scoop of Nielsen's Frozen Custard later, she was on her way to a fun sleepover with her cousin Emily.
After a nice mexican meal we came home to feed the twins and get them in jammies. As you can see they're getting lots of love and admiration!
This is one of my favorite views of Abby.
I put Abby on her tummy in between a diaper change and a costume change to do a little tummy time. She surprised and thrilled us all with her latest feat of acrobatics....

Tiny Dancers
Here are some pictures of the girls' first dance class. They both did a great job and can't wait til next week. Ava's teacher was impressed by her determination and her attention while Elsa's teacher loved her spunk and enthusiasm. I foresee good days dancing!
Stretching out
A lovely picture through the viewing window
Ava is second from the left
(Speaking of right and left, it was so funny to hear the kids in this class asking which was left and right the whole time. Finally the teacher resorted to "closest to the road" and "closest to the radio.")

Ballerina Brushing Teeth
This little girl was so excited about her dance lesson today that she was ready 2 hours early.
I gotta hand it to her... she knows how to brush with style and finish with flare!

Sisterly Love
They might get on each other's nerves by day...
...but by night they can't hide their true sisterly love!
