What we've been up to

The past few months have just flown by and sadly summer is over. It seems as though the weather here has changed from "too hot to play outside" to rainy and cold. Hopefully the Sun will come out soon and we can enjoy the fall weather. Here are a few things that stand out from this summer:

The Safari Zoo- Our favorite Zoo so far and only 30mins away! The little monkeys were our favorite

Tyler so excited on our way to the Zoo. He LOVES animals, bugs, grasshoppers, or really anything that he can pick up. He even tries to pick up spiders! (although I don't encourage that part) I call him my little Nature Boy.
n

The rides at the local Frisco Festival. Tyler had a blast this day, two of his favorite things, trains and cars!

Tyler still loves to dance! There was a live band at the Festival, he was the only one dancing. I love this boy, he makes me laugh everyday.

Tyler "sleeping" with all of his animal friends. The other day when I went in his room to get him from his nap he was signing I am a Child of God. So sweet..

Our trip to the Tulsa Zoo (It was so hot that day!!)

Tyler loves parks, we've been to at least a dozen different parks this summer.

Tyler's Birthday

Tyler is officially 2 years old now. Time has gone by so fast! Friday was Tyler's Birthday. In the morning we a few friends that lived by us in Idaho and are now living pretty close to us here in AR over for a little birthday party/play date. Tyler had a blast playing with his friend Jackson, eating his car and truck shaped sugar cookies, painting wooden choo-choo trains, and opening his gifts. It was a lot of fun.
Jonathan surprised us and got home early from work. Tyler was so excited to tell him all about his party. Later that evening we broke out his Race Track birthday cake, sang Happy Birthday and opened gifts. Here are a couple videos and pics of our fun day:

Tyler's friend Jackson, whom he calls, "Jack"

Tyler always makes the goofiest faces when I say, "SAY CHEESE"

I decided to make a Race Track cake because Tyler loves playing with cars (and driving them on this race car mat). Every morning when he wakes up and I go in his room to get him he shuts the door to his room, turns the lights on and says, "mommy play with cars on race track." He was mostly excited about the Lighting McQueen candle.

Tyler took most of the Oreos of the cake and just at one bite out of each

Tyler loves his new Diego trike

Tyler testing out his new trike.(The music in the background is the ice cream man who we hear about 4 times a day, but Tyler just dances whenever he hears it and says, "there's music man")

Enjoying Summer

Tyler and I have been enjoying our summer days together. He is such a sweet, energetic little guy. Everyday he makes me laugh at the funny new things he learns and says. The other day we were walking into the store and he was pointing and naming each letter on the KOHL'S sign. While in the store I put him in the shopping cart, and half the time he was dancing to the music and the other half the time he was wiggling and telling me how he was stuck. While I was trying on a couple clothes in the fitting room he was ducking under the the stalls and saying hi to the naked lady next door. All the while, he was trying to make his escape under our fitting room door. As we walked out, there was a cute old lady who said, "Hi, how are you?" so from then on Tyler said, "hi, how are you?" to everyone in the store. Funny boy. He also loves to point out all of the babies in the store and say, "AAWWWWW a baaaby, how cute." Anyways, that is our typical shopping experience, each day is defiantly entertaining.

Lately he has been playing in our little blow up pool in the back yard. He throws all of his toy cars in there and is entertained for a long time, its wonderful. His favorite thing is when he finds a bug/beetle in the water, which he loves to hold and say, "the little beetle likes Tyler." I can't believe how well he already articulates what he wants to say, its pretty neat. Here are some random pictures from this past month

Jonathan and I thought it was hilarious to see Tyler waddling around in this super soaked diaper..Tyler didn't mind of course because to him anything is better then getting his diaper changed! Thank goodness for swimmer diapers!

Eureka Springs

My mom was able to fly back to AR with Tyler and I. While she was here, Jonathan and I went to Eureka Springs for a couple nights to get away for our third year Anniversary (back in April). It was a beautiful place to stay, we rented a cute little secluded cabin in the woods. We saw deer from our front porch swing and watched humming birds. There was a small "lake," more like a big pond that we hung out at and went canoeing and padding boating. Fun! It was a nice relaxing break from everyday life. The best part was that we felt like the only two at the resort! It was so nice to come home and see Tyler and Grandma, it looked like they had a great time while we were away.

Our trip to Maryland

Last month Tyler and I got to fly out to Maryland for Nathan and Ashley's wedding. It was a nice ceremony and im glad I was able to be there and share such a special day with them. Tyler and I also had fun spending time with Brittany, Melissa, Austin, Grandma and Grandpa Great Grandma Frampton, Aunt Marianne, Ryan and Jessica, and we were able to see cute little Ethan for the first time. Although we did miss Jonathan, it was well worth it. (I will have to post pics of the wedding later after I get someone to send me some)

Tyler had so much fun at grandma and grandpa Fisher's house:

Tyler found the neighbors old swing set and wanted to swing for hours

Riding on the "big tractor" with Grandpa. One day I put Tyler down for a nap and after a while I went back in the room because I heard him making noises. His head was stuck right between the blinds, he had been watching the "doggie" and Grandpa out of the window cutting the grass.

Tyler(with Ashley)was a pro playing the rock band drums

He loved the big yard to run around in

Spring time fun

Tyler got some sort of stomach bug a couple days after Easter. Poor guy, it was his first time for throwing up. We knew he really wasnt feeling good when he wanted to sit and snuggle instead of play... this is when he was starting to get back to normal.

What's new...

We are enjoying our new home here in Arkansas. Jonathan officially graduated this past week, (even though he was hired and has been working since January) he found out there was one more class he had to take before it was "official." We are liking our 3 bedroom duplex and our little backyard. The change has been fun. We like our new area, it is very pretty and close to everything (no more 30 min. drove to any store other then Wal-mart) We love all the trees, the weather, and do not miss the snow in Rexburg. We're close to the Ozarks, many lakes, caves, Eureka springs, just a lot of neat stuff. Jonathan is liking his job as a programmer (for the most part) and I think it is really helping him figure out what direction he would like to go. The people we have met all seem very nice.

Tyler is growing up so fast! He will be two years old in July. He is a dancing, singing, talking, athletic machine.
Here are a few of Ty's favorite things:

1. Singing- he loves creating original songs while playing Jonathan's guitar, most of the time he will throw in a mommy and daddy (and point to us) into the mix. A few weeks ago he was playing in the bathroom(another favorite pastime)I was cleaning in the kitchen and I hear him singing "mommy I love you, mommy I love you" over and over again. Sweet little boy.

2. Dancing- Anytime he hears music. The other day we were in the toy section in the store and he found a microphone that plays music. He was dancing and singing his little heart out in the middle of the store.

3. The Park- everyday he asks me to go to the park and anytime we are in the car he assumes we are going to the park and whenever we leave the park you would think he has severely abusive parents by the way he screams.

4. Balls- kicking, throwing, hitting, shooting, as many different kinds as possible.

5. Daddy- Everyday when Jonathan gets home Tyler runs up to him with the loudest squeals of excitement. We love that time of day!

6. Gum- I know, this should be off limits for most one year olds but he loves it. He keeps it in his mouth and chews it for hours(if I let him)

7. "Friends"- Every time we are at the park or around any other children he automatically has a new best friend. He especially loves older kids. When they leave he always says, "friends?"
