A visit from Grandma and Grandpa
Hearing Aid Adventures
After a few heart pounding experiences of "where is Alexa's other hearing aid?", which included back tracking through the hospital, the mall, and also the park on separate occasions; we finally resorted to the pilot cap. It has helped us rest a little easier knowing that not only has she not thrown it out, but that she isn't sucking on it either. We didn't have quite the stress with Sam so early. It came later with him when he would take them out when we weren't looking and not remember where he set them --which is no longer an issue now that he is older.

Here she is in her new attire.

School has started, but things haven't slowed down
Well, the boys are back in school and things are slightly quieter at the Jones house although there is still plenty to occupy everyone's time-- as usual.
Church is a must and most of the time, everyone looks sharp by the time we are ready to go in the morning.

Scouts for Zac is a definite priority. He has been both camping and hiking in August and earned his Tenderfoot . (He is the only one in the 2nd class uniform in this picture-- he was waiting for the new uniforms to come out before we sewed on patches, etc. He does have it now.)

Both Samuel and Joshua have begun soccer season. Their first games will be on Saturday. We hope the weather cooperates. (Fall season is usually better than Spring in Iowa.)

One of the most exciting bits of news is that Samuel learned to ride his bike without training wheels. It took a bit of practice, but Dad wouldn't let him give up, and now he is a pro.

Alexa is sitting now and playing with toys (and magazines).

She stills smiles with her mouth wide open.

She will be crawling soon. She already scoots in her crib although for some reason she can't get the traction as easily on the hard floors. It is fine, we can wait--she is growing up way too fast!!
