Kennedi's PreSchool Graduation

I can't believe that the time has finally come that I am going to be able to say I have 2 kids in elementary school. Kennedi is starting Kindergarten in the fall (sniff sniff) and so her pre school class at Fun n Fit had a graduation ceremony. It was so sweet, they wore caps and sang songs about growing up and there was a small reception afterwards. Thanks to Ms. Becky and Ms. Bobbi who Kennedi has adored for several years now. We couldn't ask for better woman to take care of our baby girl while we are off working hard for our family.

Connor's First Major League Ballgame

I won tickets to the Cub's game! One evening I noticed our local play and eat (Jillian's) was having a Cub's game ticket give away. We decided to take the kids to play games and have some dinner and enter our names into the drawing. They gave away a pair of tickets every 6 minutes for an entire two hours. I jokingly told Ryan since I am neither a Cubs or a Cards fan that I would probably win and sure enough about an hour into the drawing they called my name. I graciously turned over the tickets to Ryan and told him to take Connor to his first Cub's game. The weather wasn't the best and they ended up losing but the experience for Connor and his dad at Wrigley Field is priceless!

Mother's Day Tea Party

My daughter is 5 and she is all girly, sparkly, princessy, tea party. This year for Mother's Day we decided to host a Mother's Day tea for all the females in our family. Mimi, Gramy, and Nana were there. Aunt Beth and Aunt Jodi were also there (which future neice inside Aunt Jodi's tummy who we can't wait to celebrate the next one with). Kennedi and I went all out and decorated our dining room, borrowed the fancy silver tea pot set from Nana, had Mimi and Gramy bring their own tea pots and asked everyone to wear dresses. Here are some great pics from that day!
I went all out with the menu. We had 3 different kinds of tea sandwiches which Kennedi helped me cut into shapes of high heels, flowers, and hearts. I made a spinach salad with eggs, almonds, onions, and hot bacon dressing and then we had petit fours, and cupcakes. There was also a variety of different flavored teas to choose from.
Here are some great pictures with all the lovely women in our family! We are so lucky to have all of you in our lives and we hope this will start becoming a tradition for many years to come!

Kennedi's Bravette Debut

I think I have mentioned before that we have season tickets to a local private college in Peoria called Bradley University. Every year the pom pom squad puts on a dance clinic for little girls between the ages of 5-14. This was the first year that Kennedi was old enough to participate and boy did she soak it up! They did a dance to a Justin Beiber song called "Baby Baby" and it was so incredibly cute. From that point on Kennedi has been hooked on dance and cheerleading and asked to take pictures with both Bradley squads.
We can't wait until the new Bradley Basketball season begins and we can cheer on the Braves! Till next time I blog, XOXO.

Valentines Day 2012

So New Year's Eve was my last post so I am obviously way behind on keeping our families and friends updated. Once the nice weather hit town, we have been outside and on the go. I will make this short and sweet with lots of cute pictures! I think we will start with Valentines Day. Lots of sweets, games, and crafts.
The above pics are Connor and Kennedi filling out their Valentine's for their classmates. This was the first year Kennedi was able to write her own name on them. How exciting that she is getting to be such a big girl!
These above pics are them showing off their goodies from mommy and daddy and then playing a game I bought for Connor's class to play at his Valentine's Day party. It was a version of twister with conversation hearts! I love Valentine's Day, it's my favorite holiday and I will always make it special for my kids. Till next time I blog, XOXO.

Happy New Year!

For the first time in the longest time that I can remember, we had no New Year’s Eve plans this year. At first I was sad about this because that means that we are definitely out of our party stage, however in looking back at it now, there is no place I would rather be in our beautiful house, in our pjs, with our beautiful and healthy kids making memories that they will remember more than what we did on random New Year’s.

We decided to make our own New Year’s Eve party (something fun that the kids would remember) with good food, Champagne for Ryan and I, sparkling cider for the kids which I let them drink out of my fancy glasses, tiaras, hats, and blow horns. I told the kids that they could stay up until midnight and we would watch Rockin New Years Eve on TV and watch the ball drop. We had a dance party and the kids ended up making it to midnight (I barely made it myself). All in all, they had fun and that was all that mattered to me. WARNING ALERT:: In none of these pictures do I have a stitch of makeup on! I am actually shocked that I allowed a camera in the room.

Also, included in this is a random picture of the kids before a Bradley game. Kennedi was showing off the new cheerleading outfit and Connor the new sweatshirt they got from Mimi and Granpa.

Till next time I blog, XOXO.

You Better Watch Out

I am a little bit out of order in these posts but wanted to make sure I shared these photos of the kids. Even though they are starting to get older they still have a fondness for going to see Santa Claus. I always take them to our outdoor mall (Shoppes at Grand Prairie) because they have Mr. and Mrs. Claus and it’s free to see them and you get to take pictures with your own camera. They are always patient and kind and make sure you get enough good pictures as well as including mom and dad in those pictures as well. This year they moved the location to make a bigger production for the kids and it was a couple of hours of family fun with a bounce house, rides, and the meet and greet. The pictures turned out really good and fun was had by all!
