Time Flies!

I cannot believe Katie is now 9 mths old! She is so much fun and Parr is having a great time with her. He loves her so much and really protects her and at the same time has no problem grabbing her legs or trying to wrestle with her! She loves it too though (for now!).
She weighs 22 lbs! (90 %) and I can't remember her length but I remember it was 50%. She is a growing girl for sure!
She can stand really well on her own and has taken a step or two but nothing consistent. If you are holding her hands she walks really well. She is trying so hard to keep up with Parr. She crawls a lot and is in to everything! We have now entered the phase of knocking everything off the table at restaurants. Boy am I ready for that to end!
She can say mama, dada, hi, and lots and lots of other things that we can't understand! I thought I might get a quiet child since Parr is quite the chatterbox but no such luck! Guess the good Lord thought I need more of a taste of my own medicine!
Her favorite foods seem to be bananas, green beans, and just about anything else!haha
She has just started to drink out of a sippy cup and seems to like it.

Enough of that boring stuff!haha Over Thanksgiving we went to San Diego with the Johnson side of the family and other than one very devastating incident we had a great time! Long story very short, katie burned her hand on my Chi straightening iron and we visited San Diego Childrens, San diego burn center and have seen several doctors since! She is much better now and healing well.
Back to San Diego, It was so beautiful! A lot colder than we expected but very nice. We had a great house on the beach and the kids had a blast! Thanks Gran and Grumps!
Here are some pics:

Katie and our youngest nephew, Tyler. The first of many pestering times!
You can see the house we stayed in here. Couldn't have been more perfect!

Michael dug this big whole for 4 hours!!!
Katie loved her first beach experience! She had so much fun in the sand. San Diego was the first beach Parr ever went to as well.

He stayed outside the from about 7:30 in the morning to 12:30 when he had to come in to eat! loved the beach!

The weather was so perfect on Thanksgiving Day! I felt like I had so much to be thankful for!

We went to Legoland and the kids got to go to "driving school" I'll post more pics from there later. Parr got to have an early birthday party at the aquarium at legoland and he had such a great time! Mommy and Daddy were at Children's Hospital:( so we don't have pictures but I bet we can get some from everyone else

8 months!!!

Cannot believe Katie is 9 mths old! She is such a joy and makes me laugh daily! She is now saying "Ma Ma", "Da Da" and "Da" for whenever she sees something she wants, usually food!!!haha She can push her walker for a few steps and has now started crawling a little, mostly backwards. When she is hungry or sleepy you better move fast because she can go from happy to ticked off in no time! The past couple of days she has really learned to give kisses and she will grab my cheeks and give me a kiss! so sweet! Parr is doing great with her and really loves going in to get her in the morning. We have our routine and she looks for him, when she sees him she grins so big! She loves her big brother! I will post some video of her getting around soon.

Watch out for the Peacock!!!

I took the kids to a local park the other day to attempt to take some pictures of them. Parr was roaming around looking at the ponds and as I was taking pics I saw the peacock coming up behind him!
"Hey Parr there is a Peacock behind you"
"What did you say mom?"
"AAAAhhhh, A peacock!""
It was so so funny!

Cupcake Fun!

Allison and I took the boys to make their own cupcakes last friday after lunch! They had a blast! Carter loved all of the icing and cotton candy!!! Parr not so much, but he did have fun decorating and cleaning!haha

He did take a few bites of the icing!

Snow Cones in October!!!

Yes, in Austin the snow cone truck comes through the neighborhoods still! My neighbor, Jennifer, and I decided to give in! The kids loved it!
Must have been cold!
This is fun!!!
so cute!
Mrs. Jennifer helped with the ordering and fixing! They got to do their own! Fun stuff!

More Dallas Trip Pics!

I love these pictures! It makes me so happy to see all the memories Parr and Katie are making with all of their wonderful grandparents! Michael and I feel very fortunate and we know that our kids will one day as well! Parr gets so excited to see all of his grandparents and misses them so much when it has been a while.
It is so much fun to think about the traditions we are setting of going to the Razorback games with my parents. It is something that we all enjoy and hopefully before too long my mom will be able to return to a game instead of playing at the hotel! (Even though that probably sounds like more fun to her) Thanks Nana and Gran Nana for a great time!

Weekend in Dallas! Go Hogs Go!

We met Nana and Gran Nana in Dallas for the Arkansas/Texas A&M game! We had so much fun and loved taking Parr to the game. He thought the stadium was so cool!!! One Aggie (or as he calls them "Baggie") fan told him he should go wash his tattoo off his cheek, to which he replies, "Go Hogs"! It was great! Proud moment for sure!

Katie loves to cuddle with Daddy! Daddy's girl for sure!!!
We ate dinner on Friday night at The Traildust restaurant. Michael was so excited to take him there because he remembers going there as a child and sliding. Parr was so excited to see the big slide!!! Michael, my mom, and I all had to slide with him. Eventually he was glad to slide by himself!
We didn't have socks for him so he had to wear Michael's! It was great!
Being brave and going alone!

It really does go fast!

7mths!

I can't believe Katie is 7 mths old!!! She is really getting her own personality! Good and Bad!haha She knows what she wants and when she wants it and be prepared if it faster than you are moving! On the other hand she is so sweet and loves to cuddle. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful children even on the not so good days!

What a Beautiful Day!

Today couldn't have been any more beautiful! We played outside all day and we all loved it! Glad to put the hot summer behind us! Here are a few pics of our day:

As I was taking pics of Katie, I turned around and this is what Parr was doing! He said he was cutting the branches so I didn't have to. So sweet!
Look at that face

I love her little teeth! Can't believe she is 7 mths old! Her new things are "Da Da" all the time, wanting to stand all the time (she stood on her own for 4 secs the other day), and loving everything her brother does!
This was her first time in the swing and she loves it! She laughed so hard! Parr was excited too because he has someone to swing with now!

Katie is 6 mths old!!!!

Katie turned 6 mths old on thursday! I can't believe how fast the past 6 mths have gone by! She is such a joy to have in our lives and we are all so thankful to have her! (Even Parr!) She laughs a lot and really liked to get her point across! In the past few weeks she has started this very loud scream when she is trying to get your attention or not getting what she wants! I will try to get it on video because it is pretty funny and a little annoying! We may be in trouble! She weighs 18 lbs. 12 oz.! (90%), 25 1/2 in. (50%) So, she is a great eater as you can tell! We started her on solid foods about 4 weeks ago and she loves it! She isn't big on the squash but loves green beans and just about everything else! She says a lot of "da da" and "ba ba" sounds and is trying really hard to wave bye bye! It is so cute to watch her try! She loves sitting up and walking while holding our hands. She isn't so big on tummy time so we may skip the crawling! Dr. Brown gave her a great checkup and was glad to see her personality come through during the appt. (yes, she let her know that she really wanted her stethoscope!)
Most of all she loves her brother! I look forward to watching them grow up together and hope that he is always as protective of her as he is now!

The same day as Katie's 6mth checkup Parr had his first day of preschool! He had such a great time! He just walked right in his room and I had to stick my head in and make him tell me bye. It made me a little sad but so happy that he was so happy! His teachers told me that he was such a joy to have in their class and they couldn't wait to see what else he comes up with each week! I think they really can't wait to see what he tells them because he can definately tell some tales! He took everyones order on a notepad, listened in on his teachers conversations (can't imagine where he gets his nosiness!) and during circle time he said his favorite part of the day was potty time! I look forward to seeing what all he learns this year!
