So this is a little late...but here are Cannon's six month stats:
Height: 28 3/4 in (100%)
Weight: 15 lbs 10 oz (20%)
Head Cir.: 43 1/2cm (50%)
As you can see from the video he is still as active as ever. This was actually a few weeks ago. He is now doing a little army crawl to get around. His favorite thing to do is pull the basket full of the TV remotes off of the coffee table.

Thanksgiving Day Fun
Before watching the video below you must understand why the Whitesides boys put up with such a painful experience. It's called.... Bare Back. It has become a tradition that Josh and his brothers participate in usually on a weekly basis. Basically they play PingPong and the looser is subject to the other players hitting them as hard as they can with a PingPong ball on their bare back. On Thanksgiving Day they were all up to playing, so now you will be able to witness the punishment for loosing. (Poor Nick, you can already see the welts on his back from earlier games. Plus, you can WATCH one appear right after he gets hit.)
More Bare Back pictures!
After eating with the Whitesides we went out to Cheyenne's house and ate with some family members there. It wasn't until afterward that I realized that I had only taken pictures of the little ones! (That is besides Cannon taking a nap with Grandpa Jay.)
Thanksgiving morning Josh and some of the other guys in the family ran a 4 mile race.

40 kicks in 46 seconds!
So as you already know my darling little Cannon is FULL of energy! Here is at night, right before bed. He had already eaten and was soo tired but he just doesn't stop moving. He was half asleep but he just kept kicking his little leg...it was making me laugh! So of course we had to record it! Enjoy!

New Daddy!
So pretty much since Cannon was born Josh has not cut his hair. It worked out really well for our Halloween costumes. My family members, who haven't seen Josh in a while, actually thought he was wearing a wig! But alas all good things must come to an end. Yesterday Josh cut it off!! (Yay!) I love my Joshy either way... however I have just always been a fan of short hair. So I think his protesting of me cutting my hair is over. :)

Happy Halloween!
Here are our pumpkins that we carved for this Halloween. Just like we always do... mine is the more simplistic design and Josh goes all out. But his do always end up looking AWESOME! Way to go babe!
And a Teddy Bear!!
Boy, it's hard trying to draw a nose on a little boy. But with Dad's help, and after an unhappy Cannon (just for a minute)... I was able to accomplish it.
Cannon wouldn't look at the camera every time we tried to get a picture of him. The flash would go off and he would look away. So this is the best picture we got of him. We had a fun evening and saw some pretty awesome costumes. All of the nieces and nephews were adorable, as usual. Then Ben and Ness were Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife. (I saw Ben's costume and was very impressed, and I am certain Ness' was just as impressive.) Then Jona and Gloria were pirates... I meant to grab a picture of them, but forgot! Then there was Cass and Tay... only a picture can describe their costumes...
AWESOME...huh?!

4 Month Appointment
So yet again, Cannon makes priceless faces for the camera! He went to his 4 month appointment yesterday and he is doing well! Here are his stats:
Height: 26 3/4 inches (95%)
Weight: 13 lbs. 10 oz. (25%)
Head Circ.: 42cm (50%)
The doctor said that if he keeps growing at the rate he is he will most likely be over 6 feet tall when he's older! He did really well for his vaccinations. Even though I think it's harder for me to watch him have his shots then it is for him to receive them. Josh came to the appointment as well and after they gave Cannon his shots Josh's hands were shaking! It's hard for both of us to watch it, even though it's for the best. Everybody always says it's different when it's your own child and IT'S SO TRUE! Shots don't bother me personally, I can handle them, but watching Cannon cry...it's a whole new story.

"I'm a hyper hypo...Where's your harness?!"
For or those of you who know the classic Mike Myers skit on SNL. Sadly I believe that is my future. I am afraid that eventually one day I will have to put Cannon in a harness. Ok, that might be a slight exaggeration none the less my child does have A LOT of energy. This video shows how he gets right before he is ready to crash and fall asleep. Oh but he's so much fun!
Below are some of my most recent favorite pictures. He LOVES eating his hands.
Catching him in the middle of a sneeze!
No matter how hard I try I cannot get him to smile for the camera lately! But this expression is priceless!

Happy (late) Birthday to me!!
So I am officially a quarter of a century old! Wow!! I can't believe that I am 25, it's crazy how time flies! So my birthday was actually last Friday (on the 18th). I was able to get the day off of work and spend it with my boys. Josh was the BEST husband ever and totally surprised me with my gift! I had told him a few things that I had wanted and I thought I knew which one he had picked to get me, however when I went to open my gift it was really light, and what I thought I was getting wasn't light at all. So I opened the box and there was a smaller box, then I opened that box and there was a smaller box...until I got to an envelope with a letter in it. I won't bore you with the details of the letter, but at the bottom of it it said "look up." When I looked up Josh was holding Cannon and in Cannon's hands was a small box...like a jewelry box! So I opened it and inside was a wedding band to go with my ring!!! I was soo surprised! So below are the best pictures we could get of it. They are not very good, I know, but I am so pleased that Josh was able to pick it out all on his own and everything. I LOVE IT!

Hokey Pokey!
Cannon is just a little wiggler now! He can now roll over all the way, when he wants to. That is the first video. The second video is of Cannon with his Grandpa Jay. He was just all full of wiggles and so we had fun watching them play together!
He has actually been rolling over for a while, so ignore my comment about it being yesterday. It was when I recorded the video. Now the Hokey Pokey...(don't listen to Grandpa calling is LEFT foot his RIGHT foot! hehe oops!)

Rollie Pollie
So here is a couple short videos of our little boy that is bursting with energy. He is now three months old and he is starting to try and roll over! He gets half way there and it's just so cute! (He wouldn't do it in the first video, but he does a darling smile so that's why I posted it.)
And the second one...

Mommy Make-Over
So I made the big decision to chop my hair! It just kept getting in the way and took too long to do. Josh was more nervous than I was, he has always loved my long hair. That is why I have kept it long for such a long time. I was just excited and anxious to have it done. Although Josh has told me that for every inch that I cut is one month that he will NOT get his hair cut! hehe I guess only time will tell if he holds true to that! (But I don't mind his longer hair!)

2 Months
So here is yet another cross-eyed picture of my cute little boy. This was actually a few weeks ago, but it was around the time of his 2 month appointment. (Again this is a late post.) But at Cannon's 2 month appointment he weighed 10 lbs. 10 oz and was 24 1/2 inches long! He really is tall and skinny! He sleeps VERY well now. At least 8 hours a night, but sometimes as much as 10! He is such a good baby and the only things he needs to work on are not spitting up as much and pooping a little more often! (Sometimes he stresses Mommy out by not pooping and spitting up too much!) But he is always so happy even when he spits up. He is always smiling at his Mommy and Daddy! It really just warms my heart. I LOVE being a Mom!

Baby Blessing Day
Well this is a little late but Cannon was blessed on August 2, 2009. The fun part about it was that my sister's little girl, Tessa, was blessed the same day! Cheyenne and I planned to bless our kids on the same day to help our out-of-state family members make just one trip. It was a jam packed day but oh so fun! It is always my favorite to just spend time with family members and make more memories! I love ALL of my family and thanks to all that made the effort to come! So of course the pictures above show my precious little Cannon with his cousin Tessa. Then both of the babies with their Mommies, and last but not least our first little family picture! Josh was able to bless Cannon and did a wonderful job. I just LOVE my boys!

2 Months
Well Cannon is now 2 months old! He is such a wonderful little boy and we love him soo much!! He is now smiling a lot and is soo close to doing a little giggle at times. I can't wait until he starts to really laugh! He is still all wide-eyed as you can tell from the pictures. When he's awake he is full of energy, he kicks and wiggles pretty much non-stop. I think I now know why I didn't sleep very well while I was preggers...he kicked all the time then too! I am back to work three days a week and it sure is hard to leave my little boy! But I find comfort knowing that I can completely trust who is watching him. (Thanks to Kenzie, Peggy and Cass for helping us two days a week!) Hopefully one day when Josh has graduated I will be able to be a full-time Mommy. But I will say that it is good to have some adult conversation, that is refreshing. All in all everything is great right now and we are all enjoying our summer!

July 4th
Ok, so here is the story behind these pictures. We were all just chilling by the pool (most of the family was there celebrating Jaxie's Birthday) and Josh, Ben and Candice decided to play "Pig" with the pool hoop but being outside of the pool. Well we were all watching the VERY entertaining game when all of a sudden there was a loud crashing noise! I was sitting right next to Josh and my first thought was that his chair had fallen off of the cement. But nope... unfortunately the actual chair he was sitting in BROKE!! (In the second picture you can see the torn fabric.) Suddenly he was just sitting on the ground! Everybody just started laughing soo hard! Needless to say there is now one less chair to sit on by the pool at my in-laws house.
Here is the picture we took of Cannon's patriotic outfit. Unfortunately the angle makes his feet look HUGE! I mean he does have pretty big feet, but with the angle and the fact that the socks were too big anyway...well you can see how big they look. :) hehe

Happy First Father's Day!!!
I just have to let everyone know what a WONDERFUL husband, father and person Josh is. For all that know him they can attest to the fact that he is a very personable person who cares for everyone. I love him soo much and honestly have NO idea what I would do without him! He is already the BEST Dad to our little Cannon and I can already tell that Cannon adores him. He is going to have so much fun when he gets older with his Daddy. Josh is always concerned about others and looking for an opportunity to help where he can. I cannot even number the amount of times Josh has seen a neighbor moving in and simply walked up, introduced himself and then asked if he can help them move. (What a guy!) Just a short story about the kind of person Josh is...
Just this last Friday we went to Costco. I had to pick out some glasses frames (yes I have glasses/contacts now), and so we were at the optical center in Costco. I was talking with the optical employee and I noticed Josh looking past the counter over to the electronics section. There was another Costco employee over by the TV monitors and he was acting out of the ordinary. I didn't see what he was doing, but Josh noticed that he was having trouble walking and then he slowly fell to the ground. Josh walked toward the fallen employee, knelt down and asked him if he was ok. He was not responding so he yelled to have somebody call an ambulance. He then began to make sure the man was breathing and had a pulse. He did but it was obvious that he was having a seizure. By this time there were a couple of other guys who came to help Josh because they were trying to restrain the employee from hurting himself as he seized. Well to make a long story short... after the paramedics and a cop came, it was discovered that they man had just shot up with some cocaine. But I was still soo proud of Josh and he was so observant and didn't even hesitate to help him and take charge of the situation. See? Josh is even concerned about complete strangers... and then there is me. I was completely oblivious to the guy until Josh brought it up.
I just want to say one last time that Josh is the BEST husband and father....
I LOVE YOU BABE!!!!

Newborn Pictures
So here are some of Cannon's newborn pictures we had taken. Josh's co-worker Melissa took them and she did a GREAT job!! Isn't he so precious?! (In case you want to look at her other work it's called Silver Story Photography and her website is http://www.silverstoryphotography.com/)

A Tale of Two Poops
So this is Cannon's scowl/cross-eyed look. It makes me laugh really hard! He has been having a hard time pooping regularly...however the other night he managed to have an EXPLOSION. I didn't realize how bad it was and when I was unbuttoning his outfit and got it all on my hand!! Josh watched him so I could get it off my hand and when I went back to finish he then threw up and then peed everywhere!! It was quite the ordeal. Then just the following night Josh had to give him a suppository and he peed AGAIN! You'd think we would've learned, right??
