Boots

Cannon absolutely LOVES his snow boots! He wears them ALL the time. . .and I mean all the time! Here he is wearing them after I put him in his PJ's. (Yes, I know they are Halloween PJ's, but hey who cares, right?) He will not let me take them off even when he goes to bed or down for a nap! I have to wait for him to fall asleep, then sneak in and take them off so he can sleep more comfortably. Silly little boy!

Snow Storm

Today it randomly snowed, and snowed A LOT! We went from just a few remaining piles of snow to probably around 5 inches! Josh always goes out to shovel and Cannon LOVES to do whatever his Daddy is doing so he went out with him. Cannon loves the snow, but doesn't like it when he hands get wet. He has a hard time keeping his gloves on though, because he doesn't quite understand the concept of putting your thumb in the thumb slot. Most of all his favorite thing to do is "stomp" the snow. He said "stomp, stomp, stomp" as he is doing it. He would probably do it all day if we let him! Lucky also loves the snow, but can't stay out in it too long because he gets massive snowballs stuck to his fur. He is trying to work-it in the picture because he wants to go back outside.

Snapshot

Today Cannon took the camera, he likes to watch videos we record of him on there, but I didn't want him to have it so these are the pictures he took in the process of me getting it from him. He can be very persistent lately, Josh says he gets it from me. But I think it's just the terrible twos starting a little early. Cannon gets really frustrated when he is trying to get me to do something but I don't know what he wants. ZERO patience!

Valentine's Day

This year was my year for Valentine's Day. (Josh and I alternate who plans Valentine's Day and our Anniversary every year. Last year I planned our Anniversary so this year I was in charge of Valentine's Day.) Anyway, a few days before we had decided that this May we are going to go on a cruise! So along with that we weren't going to get each other gifts for Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Mother's Day and Father's Day; because the cruise counts for ALL of them! I still wanted to do something special for my honey because he is constantly doing little things for me, even without a holiday that tells you to do something. So while Josh was at work, and while Cannon was napping, I decorated our room with hearts! I put a note on the door with a letter below it that I wrote for him expressing my feelings of adoration.

Here is what the door looked like. Below is what our bedroom looked like.

Funny thing about this is that I didn't tell Josh that I did anything because he usually comes home and goes upstairs to change into more comfortable clothes. But of course he didn't this time! Then he was looking at some pictures of Cannon that I had taken that day, on the camera, and I had forgotten that I had taken the above pictures and told him to look at some from another day that were on there of Cannon. So he looked up at me and asked if he was suppose to see these pictures. So I ruined the little surprise! haha I couldn't believe that I had forgotten I had taken the pictures. Needless to say he went upstairs right after that and saw it. Just a little something fun.

Sick, sick, sick...

So just over a week ago Cannon started to act a little but under the weather. Then last Friday a fever showed up and by Saturday evening his cough had gotten so bad that he had coughed so hard he had thrown up 4 times within one hour. We decided to take him to an insta-care, and we were told nothing serious was wrong. (Needless to say I was frustrated because I just knew my little boy was not doing well.) Sunday we stayed home and there was still no sign of improvement. So Monday morning I called his pediatrician. There were no available appointments on Monday so they scheduled Cannon for Tuesday morning at 10am. So Tuesday we headed to Dr. Rose's office, after he evaluated Cannon he told me that he had an ear infection in his left ear, a chronic cough, and that he probably had RSV. He sent me over to the hospital and decided to admit Cannon, and after the test results came back it was discovered that Cannon did have RSV. So we stayed at the hospital for about 24 hours, not fun! :(

This is how Cannon looked Monday. You know he is not feeling well when he will just hold still.

All of us in his hospital room. It was room #122 the Hippo room. He had great nurses, especially the night nurse Brittany! We LOVED her! It's so hard to see your little child in the hospital, but he definitely was showing signs of improvement.

Tuesday evening after a dose of antibiotic, some fluids, a breathing treatment, a suction treatment, and chest x-rays he was a tired boy and fell asleep. Once he woke up he ate better than he had the previous couple of days. So we knew he was improving. Grandma Peggy came and brought him some toys to entertain him. He LOVED his little gun. Also thanks to Desi and Grandpa Jay for visiting; and to Ben and Ness for bringing us yummy food that wasn't hospital food!

Cannon sleeping, at least one of us slept. I stayed the night with Cannon while Josh went home and took care of Lucky. This was the first night since Josh and i were married that we have been apart..almost 5 years. It might not seem like a big deal, but I admit I cried. I just HATE being away from Josh, but I couldn't leave my Cannon.
