Hair Cut

Before we leave town for our cruise we gave Cannon a haircut. He really needed one. To entertain him while Josh cut his hair we let him watch a movie. It worked perfectly! He sat and was into his movie so it didn't take anytime at all.  I love his expression! (Looks just like his Daddy!) After we were done he kind of looked like a little baldy, but he's our baldy!

Easter!

We had a BLAST with Cannon this year! He loved watching the eggs dye the different colors! It was perfect because we have been working on the different colors with him, so we were able to show him all the different colors! He is very independent and wants to do everything by himself. I can tell he will soon be 2!

After breakfast we let Cannon find his Easter basket. This year the Easter Bunny brought him a couple of Disney movies (and just in time because they were about to go into the Disney vault), some candy, bubbles and a book about Jesus! He loved it all! After church we went to eat dinner at the Whitesides. Before we ate the kids went on an Easter egg hunt! It was soo cute to watch them all! Cannon collected a lot more eggs than I thought. Although Josh did help him so I am sure that had something to do with it! Although with all the candy Cannon didn't have much interest in eating dinner. After we ate and visited for a while we went home and Cannon ended up throwing up. He kept looking at us as saying "thow-up" and "hurt" as he was holding his tummy. That's what just candy will do to you. He felt better after he threw up and ate some real food before going to bed. He, as well as WE, learned good food is a MUST.

Not here, or here so much...but right HERE!

So Josh went to play soccer last night, just for fun. Well he ended up being the victim of clumsy players! He was taken out and he said everyone on the field heard the pop his ankle made! He came home and was limping as he walked in, which is never good! His ankle was so swollen I had to admit that I laughed! (Rude, I know!) But I couldn't help it! He asked me in a very casual way if I could see any difference between his two ankles and it was soo completely obvious that I couldn't help but laugh! I had to take pictures, but they honestly don't give it justice! And right before our cruise too! I just hope he's better in time to go snorkeling!

FREE!

The things we do for something FREE! Would you dress like this:

To get one of these:
for free?

For Josh's work on the service committee at Weber State he was invited to attend an end of the year party. On the invitation they said that whom ever came as the best Weber State fan would win an ipad. Needless to say Josh didn't win. :( But it turns out that it was a gag-gift anyway! The winner opened the box and it was a fake inside. NOT FUNNY, huh?! I would have been more disappointed if Josh would have won the fake!

Baby hints...?

So last Friday, while I was at work, Josh took Cannon to the library to return some books. Whenever we return books we always get new ones to read. So Josh picked out a few and then had Cannon pick out some. According to Josh these are the books that Cannon picked out ALL ON HIS OWN...

No! I am NOT pregnant. But maybe Cannon is trying to tell us something?! Maybe he is bored being an only child and needs somebody to play with/boss around? Who knows. I just thought it was funny, and didn't believe it when Josh showed me!

Edible Art!

So I found this idea from a blog, and Cannon LOVES to do it. It's "painting" bread for grilled cheese sandwiches. So now before we make grilled cheese sandwiches, Cannon paints the bread and then I grill it. It makes it a fun activity for lunch! He tends to eat it better when it's a fun, exciting activity.

So I know this is dangerous, but I really was watching him the WHOLE time. He was helping me with laundry and I had just emptied the dryer and he then just started to climb in, so I let him. Needless to say. . . no more watching RocketMan!

Play Dates!

So these pictures were actually taken in March. Even though they are delayed, they are still cute! I watch my neighbors little girl, Addison, some days that I am home. (Addison's Mom is WONDERFUL to help watch Cannon for me on days that I work as well.) We love having Addie come and play! Girls and boys are SO different. People think that society makes girls like dolls and boys like guns.... I beg to differ! They just come down different, and that's okay! That's how it's suppose to be! This day we had a lot of fun watching the birds fly around! We even saw them eating the seeds off of the tree out back! Then they were "tired" after that and decided to "take a nap." It's fun to pretend to play nap-time, but the real thing is not as much fun!

We also get to play with Cannon's cousins, Lincoln and Jayben! We love having them come to play too!! We didn't even mean to dress Cannon and Lincoln the same, but they are kind of twinners. Cannon looks up to Jayben so much and loves following him around, then in turn Lincoln follows them around! That's how it goes, always wanting to be cool like the older kids! I'm still trying to be cool like all my older siblings!
