Wild & Wonderful World of Whitesides

One of our FAVORITE things to do in the summer is go to the Weber State Fireworks! They do them annually right around July 24th. Josh and his Dad always go the day before and save a spot for the whole family. Most of the fun is in just waiting around for the fireworks and visiting and playing games. 

 There's always lots of food to go around while waiting too!

 Cannon still ADORES his Woody doll. He takes him EVERYWHERE! I truly think that he believes that Woody comes alive just like in the movies. Anything he does Woody does with him.


 Including sometimes grilling poor Woody... (He has his 'Sid' moments I guess.)

Again Woody is everywhere! We are trying to get Cannon comfortable sitting on his potty. Still not using it though... 

Ok, so I know that a giant bear is not part of the Roundup Gang, but I came home from work one day and Josh had bought this GINORMOUS bear for Cannon at Costco. Cannon loves his new bear, which Josh named 'Oso.'  (For those of you who don't habla espanol Oso is spanish for...bear!) Very clever name, huh!?

4th of July!

We spent the 4th swimming at Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Jay's pool! Cannon absolutely LOVES his cowboy hat from Grandpa Ed and had to wear it everywhere.

 After a day of food and swimming, we went to Ben and Janessa, and Ash and Jake's neighborhood to do fireworks. Josh and Ben had a blast buying explosives. (I guess it's a guy thing. My Dad has always been the same way.)

Cannon  LOVED stomping on the pop-its, but once the big fireworks started he got nervous and wouldn't leave my lap. This year they legalized some pretty large aerial fireworks and I think it was the neighbors setting off those big ones that made him so nervous. 

 This summer we have spent A LOT of time at Grandpa Jay & Grandma Peggy's pool! Cannon has SO much fun swimming and Josh and I love it too. He has made a lot of progress in the water and we ALWAYS keep his life jacket on. (I am a little paranoid.) 

Cannon even loves the hot tub! (But just for a few minutes!)

Since summer has begun, Cannon has developed a love for Watermelon! I didn't even know it until we were at family gatherings and he would down the stuff! (I never buy watermelon because Josh doesn't like it and I wasn't going to buy a huge one for just me and Cannon.) Any-hoo.. he loved it so much that I did start buying it! This is him one evening eating it! He does have a hard time pronouncing it and he calls it "La-la-melon."
