Christmas has come early...

Christmas came early this year for us!!!

Leo James Waldron
Born 12-12-12 at 4:55 am
7 lbs 6 oz     20 inches long

Our little Leo was due Christmas Day,
but after a long 10 days of early labor, he was brought into the world on
December 12, 2012.
His Daddy is very proud of the 12-12-12 birthday!

We are all so in love with this little man!

This pregnancy was definitely the most challenging for me, which in turn probably meant more challenging for the whole family.  It was the pregnancy that made me understand why women always complain about pregnancy!  It was also the pregnancy I worried more about my health and the baby.  I went to the hospital 2 times thinking he would be born, only to be sent home still in labor and so disappointed   I am so happy that there were no major complications and he was born healthy and happy and so darn cute!

I am taking a chance and posting pictures I would normally (because I know I don't look that great).
I know I will want to look back and feel the emotion of that day, giving birth to our youngest child.
He will be the baby of the family forever, and the other kids have eased him right into that role.
They are spoiling him with hugs and kisses and so much love.

It was such an emotional birth for me.  Right before he was born Josh and I looked at each other and I cried "It's our last baby," with tears running down my face.  My doctor in return asked if I wanted to prolong labor and take a few more hours.  That made me laugh but also gave me a burst of energy to meet our baby boy.

20 minutes of pushing (because he was bigger than our other babies...) and he was here.

Here he is!  Our handsome little Leo.
Having a tiny sweet newborn around is so much better than being pregnant. :)

After he was born I ended up back in the hospital for some minor treatments.
It was so hard to be separated from my tiny baby, kids at home and husband.
We are all at home anxiously awaiting Christmas which will be here in 7 days!

Merry Christmas!

Legit

For some reason I can never get used to saying "Legit".  It just doesn't flow naturally from my lips.  Yet another year and another awesomely entertaining performance from our girls.  You just had to be there.

If you weren't able to be there, here are their video performances!  You can thank me later for the laughter you will be experiencing.   I am so glad our children make me smile. :)

This years theme was Totally 80's.

First up, Laney's performance with the other Kindergartners and 1st Graders.
She is at the far left with her blonde hair in a side pony tail and some mad Robot skills.

Next up, Kadie's performance with the other 4th and 5th graders.
She is close to the front right of the video most of the time with her crimped hair, cute glasses and CRAZY moving hips.  It may be too early to tell, but I think she has Josh's dancing genetics. :)

I always think, we may pass on doing it next year.  Then they perform and we have such a great time watching that I know we will sign up once again next summer.

You Go Girls!!!

Double Digits!

Kadie is 10 years old!!!  I can't believe she was born a decade ago.  She is seriously the perfect first child for me.  Helpful, funny, motherly...she definitely brings joy into our lives.   She had begged and begged for a sleepover, and although up until this point we had a no sleepover rule, I felt like she was maturing beyond her years, so we said YES.  We kept the group small and tidy to do away with drama, and it worked.  All of the girls had a blast, but more importantly, Kadie had the time of her life and said it was even more fun than she thought it would be!  She even inspired one of her soon-to-be-10 friends to have a similar party!

Because I am still feeling a little sick with pregnancy, we kept the decor simple, but super cute!

We started off the party with the girls making their own jewelry.  Moved onto making mini pizza's and drinking fancy cream soda, and ended with ice cream Sunday's and watching the movie "Mirror Mirror".
A few of the girls had to leave after the movie, and that left 4 girls (including Kadie) to the sleepover craziness.  The party was pretty mellow until the sleepover.  Then the squealing and high pitched laughter started and didn't stop until midnight.

A few days later was Kadie's actual birthday, and we celebrated in Laney fashion with yummy cake, and fun gifts.  Kadie was so excited to get her own Oreo Pie made by Aunty Morgan!

She got so many cool things!  A squinkie cruise ship from Grammy and Grandpa Laney, some real chocolate turtles, a Xia Xia pet, tons of craft things, and even a pottery wheel from Grandma and Grandpa Waldron.

The night of course ended with Cade being a jungle gym in the regular fashion.

We love you Kadie!  Happy Birthday!!!

Easter!

Here are some pictures of us this last Easter!

We had a couple of Easter Egg Hunts this year.
The ward Easter Egg Hunt, and a simple one on the grassy knoll by our house!

Here are the kids coming out of the house one by one to join in the festivities.

Nick was climbing the tree to reach an egg that the kids couldn't quite get to.
Funny that they don't even seem to notice him in the tree!

Not sure why, but this picture of Nick and Josh that is sooooo silly, gives me the creeps.

I love how excited Josh Waldron is below.  Lighten up Mister!

Callie and Adam stopped by as well, and joined in the crazy fun!

Josh is...well, I am not sure what he is doing?

Crew was so funny.  He just kept picking up Eggs as long as we were throwing them at him.
He would pick one up, open it over his basket and empty it out!  He didn't even realize that we were throwing empty eggs to him for about 15 minutes.  We are so mean to tease!

It always ends with the men or women off together looking at something strange.
This time it was a hawk in a tree!

Happy Easter!

Crew is THREE!!!!

It came and went way to fast.  Yes, the last 3 years went by fast, but what is even more sad is all of the time and effort put into the cutest little Car Party I will ever throw was over in a FLASH!  It has almost been a week, and I still have most of the decorations up because it was so much fun.  Crew is now THREE!!!

Crew's Cars Party Itinerary:
Arrival Activities:
Play with cars on the vinyl car track as kids arrive
Color cars pictures as kids arrive

Main activity: CAR RACING
I spray painted a simple race track on the lawn in the back yard,
kids decorated card board boxes like cars with stickers and crayons
Then we went outside and RACED!
Each of the kids received their own Piston Cup with their name on it!

Happy Birthday to Crew!
We sang to the birthday boy, ate cupcakes, carrots and grapes, and then opened presents!

Pinata!
You can't go wrong with a Pinata at any age really.
The kids all wanted a turn, and after one croquet stick was broken by my nine year old GIRL,
we had the adults help the kids out a little until the candy was spilled.

Goody Bags
We gave out simple goody bags (brown paper bags with racing checks and a cars sticker)
Inside they had a Cars PEZ dispenser, Disney Cars stickers, a Car pencil, and a bouncy ball.
Don't forget, they all got to take home a bag of candy from the pinata and a Piston Cup from the Races.
The parents loved that I gave out so much candy. :)

Kadie even made Crew a decoration, and she drew it free-hand!

The Goody Table (below)
A display of the Piston Cups, yummy treats, and goody bags.
And a little shrine dedicated to Crew, the birthday boy.

The RACE TRACK and the RACES

Crew's favorite part was waving the flag and saying
"On your mark, get set, go!"

Even the teenagers wanted to race...

PINATA!

Kadie actually broke the pinata stick in half when it was her turn.
Her little arms are stronger than they look!

Favorite Gift: EVERYTHING!  And he wears his Cars sunglasses every day.

This was later that afternoon, after a wardrobe change due to frosting mishaps.
I think he had a good time!

Happy Birthday Crew!
