Saturday we had a wonderful Easter egg hunt with our kids and some of our friends. The kids had a lot of fun, and I forgot to take pictures!! However, Easter morning was also fun as the kids hunted for their Easter baskets. We were trying to help Brayden without telling him where it was at, so I asked him to open up the blinds so we could see outside. He tried really hard, and when he couldn't do it he let it drop. I thought for sure he hadn't seen his basket, and he hadn't, but once he stepped back he saw it as the curtain had stopped on it and didn't cover it back up. It was cute to watch him find it. That is what's going on in the first two picts.

This is Brayden exploring what is in his basket.

Evan finally found his in this cupboard. We gave him hints to look in the cupboards, and he kept missing this one because it is apart from the rest.

This is one of our beautiful Easter flowers that Josh got for us. They opened up so fabulously! I think they are really beautiful.

Over all, it was a great day. We made Resurrection rolls (these were pretty cool. You put a marshmallow dipped in butter and then cinnamon and sugar inside a crescent roll, seal it up and bake them. When we went to eat them they were hollow or empty inside. We were able to use this as a metaphor for the kids using the marshmellow as Jesus, the butter as the anointing oil, the cinnoman and sugar as the spices, and the roll as the cloth. Once they were empty we were able to compare it to the tomb. The kids liked them.), and we also were able to have a great time together. Happy Easter everyone.
Oh, here is the link to the website we got our resurrection rolls idea from:
