Dear Santa

A few days ago, I asked The kiddos waht they for Christmas. Caleb said he wants "a big old mustache" from Santa. Say what, say what? I don't know where he got that idea. Anyway, we thought he wasn't really serious so I asked him again the next day. The boy really wants a mustache for Christmas! Where am I supposed to find one? My friend said party city. I'll try that tomorrow.
Well I'm feeling better everyday. For those who don't know, I hurt my back lifting a 415 lb patient on Thanksgiving. I'm on light duty at work shich means I don't take care of patients at all. It's really nice to be able to work while I recover. I love working for Kaoser. They even sent an ambulance to take to the emergency room and it's all paid for. A little too dramatic I think but I was grateful for their concern. Thank you to the people who helped me especailly my wonderful husband Josh.
Merry Christmas to you all!

My little Chuggers

CALEB

ETHAN

I started tennis lessons 3 weeks ago. I am so excited! In fact Me and David go together every Tuesday, then I try to hit with Josh every Wednesdays or Fridays and go to clinics every Saturday morning. It is so much fun! I feel Like I'm actually accomplishing something. Hopefully I'd get really good at it...enough to beat Josh:) We always wanted something that we could do together when we get old. Tennis is a great idea.Josh has lost weight quite a bit playing tennis 3-4 times a week. I can tell that he is enjoying it a lot.

This Summer

Summer has gone by so fast i feel like we haven't accomplished much. We didn't do swimming lessons as planned but we plan to do private lessons for Kaylee and claeb. It'll be more money but we just want to get it over with. Those lessons Kaylee had last year didn't really do anything, it was a waste of money. On the other hand, she's getting better at playing the piano. We're really impressed with her progress. She can play with both hands now. She also outgrew her bike so we started looking at buying her a trek bike but our wonderful neighbor gave us their daughter's bike which is barely used:) and then the other day, we we're playing at the park when our other neighbor asked us if we wanted their Tonka bike for Caleb:) Life is sweet!

Caleb is starting Pre-school tomorrow. Me and couple of friends from church will be taking turns teaching them. I'm escited to do it. Havne't done it before but I think it'll be great.
Caleb has a puppy stuffed animal named, "Puppy" I know very original right? It has turned into a rag doll. It first lost an ear, and started losing its' stuffing. It then lost his nose. Just last weekend on the camping trip it lost its second ear, and is still losing its stuffing. The poor thing is all but empty now and is all but dead. He is not letting it go.

We went camping last weekend even though Josh and I we're not feeling well, we still had a good time. The kids had a great time. They played in the dirt for hours and rode their bikes. It was hot during the day, very cold at night but we were warm. Our family got the award of toughening it out. The last we were ther it got down to 24 degrees. Good thing we brought our warmers and winter jackets.

Funny Ethan

Yesterday morning, we were having breakfast and Caleb was still sleeping. He soon woke up and when he was coming down the stairs Ethan said: "Hi Caleb! Go potty!" Huh??? I'm confused... Who's potty training who?

Disney Adventure

Camping
We had a good, but quick, camping adventure. Our first stop was in the Redwood forest in Northern California. We were all amazed at the size of these huge trees. We had a bit of a struggle putting up the tent we brought. It was so big and awkward, but we finally got it up. The kids had a good time, but were crazy. They of course did not want to go to sleep. The second night was more of the same. We were in such a hurry that we did not get to enjoy ourselves very much. We probably would not do that again if we went down. We would either take more time or just go straight through. We had forgot to bring something to heat the water for our hot chocolate. So you will see us using an empty soda can to heat it up. We didnt have any hot pad to pull it off so we used our campfire forks to pull it off, it was hilarious, but it worked well.

Disney pictures
We all had a blast at Disneyland. The biggest surprise of the trip was that Kaylee loved all of the big roller coasters. Her favorite ride was Space Mountain. I think she went on it five times. She even went on The Hollywood Tower of Terror. She will deny she liked it, but right after the ride she wouldnt stop saying how cool it was. Maybe she just wanted the cotton candy I promised her. Ethan wouldnt go to any of the characters except for the last day he went to Donald Duck. We all loved our trip so much. Caleb's favorite was probably the rockets and the play house disney show. He loved the characters and the train ride. It was too much to condense into a short paragraph so just enjoy the pictures. Oh, and the girls loved the princess lunch.

Dinner medieval style
This was the dinner that we all wanted to do since we were young. It was pretty good but way over priced. Kaylee got a flower thrown to her from the blue knight. Down Down Down red knight's going down!

LAst but not least our Anniversary Dinner at the Grand California Hotel. The best I've been to yet:)

Sick but Happy Birthday

Ethan has been sick since Thursday with the stomach flu. He was throwing up every 15 minutes on Thursday. He was looking a little bit better on Friday so I made him a cake and we celebrated his birthday. He got a play BBQ for his birthday because he loves to cook. His favorite thing to make is what he calls "hot chocolate soup," which is supposed to be Josh's chocolate creme brulee. Surprisingly, I got the day off so we all went to see Toy Story 3. We went with the Bird's from our ward. They have two kids, a boy Kaylee's age and a girl Caleb's age. We all had a lot of fun; except maybe Ethan. He wasn't sick all day, until we were parking at the mall. He threw up all over. Then started acting totally normal again. We decided to chance it since we were already there. He was fine until half way through the movie and lost it again all over me. We are not sure if he got the people in front of us or not??? I hope not, that would be horrible right? What a great way to celebrate a birthday right? Could you imagine having to clean that up after the movie? Yuck! Well we are ready to celebrate Father's day tomorrow, we hope it goes a little better.

The graduate

This morning was Kaylee's graduation from Kindergarten. I am so proud her. Next year she'll be in First Grade? It really took me by surprise. We're very excited for the Summer. We're looking forward to swimming lessons, piano lessons, camping trips, picnics at the Happy Valley Park and Of course our trip to Disney Land! We just want the sun to stop playing hide and seek!

Last Sunday, Kaylee and Ethan got their birthday presents from Grandma and grandpa.
Kaylee loves her Pogo stick. Now she likes to hang out in the backyard to play with it. It took her to 2 days to learn how to use it. I'm so proud of her.

No more secrets

Last Saturday Josh and I were trying to figure out what to do after the kids go to bed. Kaylee was there so I started suggesting by finger spelling J-A-M-B-A. Josh didn't get it right away but she did! "that's Jamba mommy". So then Josh said: " How about an M-O-V-I-E? Kaylee said: " Movie!". Josh tried another, this time he spelled I-C-E C-R-E-A-M and she said:" I want Ice cream!" That's just great! Now we can't keep secrets anymore. We need to think of codes to exclude them from our conversation. Anyway, we all went to the mall and had ice cream (for the kids) and Jamba (for us), instead. We had a great time sitting by the fountain, watching the fish and counting the number of times they come up for air. They counted 17.

Our six year old

How time flies... Sometimes I still can't believe that I'm a mother of three children, making my own bread to save money and driving a minivan... The last one I tried to avoid for as long as I can but I don't regret it now because it's just so convenient, even if my co-workers are constantly teasing me and calls it my "Mommobile":)
Our little girl turned six last Thursday. She is so excited to be six years old! She Put all of her "little girl" toys in a trash bag and said she didn't need them anymore. She has learned to clean up her room and make it look nice and tidy (finally! not the way I want it but her efforts count) and to play with a few toys at a time so she doesn't get overwhelmed when it's time to put them away. She's not very happy when her brothers play in her room because of the mess they make. I don't blame her:) Kaylee is a very good reader for her age. She's very self motivated when it comes to playing the piano and homework. Her piano teacher is so impressed with her progress. she's moving up to level II.
Lately, she has been writing and drawing stuff that she did during the day, like pictures of her practicing the piano, walking with our neighbor to school, doing morning work at school, and her favorite, " me and my cousin Hannah playing at the park". I thought it was cute so we made a file for her favorite drawings. When asked about what she wants to be when she grows up, she said: "I want to be a Nurse so I can take care of sick people just like mama".

We invited mom Rochelle to celebrate her birthday. The kids had a great time playing I SPY with grandma and Ricky.

Boys are called honey

Today, Kaylee was doing her homework with Tito Dave. She was supposed to circle the picture that ends with "Y". David pointed to a picture of a boy and asked her what it was. Instead of "boy" she said It's "honey". It's funny how she called him honey just because I call Josh that. I remember when she was about 2 years old, she used to call us honey because she hears us calling each other honey:)

An Add-on

Kaylee lost her 2 lower teeth in one day and a permanent tooth is half way in already. Josh pulled them both out while I was at work. I knew I could count on my wonderful husband in situations like this. I'm a wimp when it comes to my kids.

Meantime, caleb decided to explore what else he could do with the yogurt. One thing was sure, he got to play in the tub which he loves and his hair sure felt pretty smooth after.

Thank you facebook

Went to visit my cousin last Friday whom I haven't seen for 15 years! She found me through face book:) Although she almost gave up on me because, as most of you know, I'm really bad at two things... answering my phone and checking my email/face book account. But I am so happy to have found her. We had a blast! Felt like I was home again. I'm looking forward to seeing them again the end of this month. I can't believe they go home to the Philippines every year! I'm so jealous:(

Tough day today. The boys were constantly fighting over a toy. I didn't get to work out because I was waiting for Frank, the emperor to fix my kitchen window. They keep making messes, I feel like all i did was clean all day! The boys didn't take a nap until 2:30. They kept playing even after I put them on time out. Sigh!
Oh well. These things happen. I have embrace the good and the bad days of motherhood. We still had some cute and funny moments at the end of the day.
Ethan was happy playing by himself despite his 30 minute nap.

I went to check on Caleb who was still sleeping at 4:30 and I found him snuggled up in our hamper. So cute:) They sure brought the smiles back on my face:)
