journey for baby reilly

Emma and James are 15weeks now and love to laugh and baby talk.

Things have been crazy since the big birthday. Emma spent 4 weeks in the NICU and is home on a heart rate monitor. James had his kidney tests and so far we are not looking at surgery to remove his dead kidney. We have had 2 full weeks at home now with the twins and it has been amazing and exhausting. They are thriving and changing every day. They are now up to 10 and 7 1/2 pounds and don't seem like my little babies anymore.

Today is the big day. We are enjoying a nice, quiet morning with our first baby, the Darc, before we go to the hospital. The Darc got a new toy from grandma, which she loves, so hopefully that will help her feel very special. She knows something is up but isn't quite sure what. She has been following me around crying and shaking -- when not devouring her new toy.

It would be nice to have coffee, food or even a glass of water, but I have been cut off since midnight. Eventually this is going to make Baby A very unhappy because he enjoys his breakfast.

As for I win - it is the pool. I guessed today. I am not sure how that all worked out, but as they say, mother knows best. Hopefully we won't get bumped for an emergency birth. I don't think I can take another day of anticipation.

To my little babies, I want to say, I can't wait to meet you today. We have been through so much over the last 9 months and you have hung in there like troopers. You have been so good for mommy and daddy and we are very proud of you already. We can't wait until you come into our world and complete our family. We love you very much.
