22 weeks
Yes, if you are keeping track I did skip week 20. Jp was out of town and a picture was never taken. I will post a picture of 22 weeks when we take it. Pregnancy has been going well. Tomorrow I will reveal if Little Junior is a boy or girl. Little Junior is so excited to let you know they have been punching/kicking me in the ribs for the past week. This little one is just as stubborn as their mom and dad! I will push on them to move and sometimes they do, other times they kick and hit harder. I felt junior move for the first time on the 12th. It was a weird feeling. Then two nights later they would not stop moving as I tried to go to bed and they have been camped out in my ribs ever since! It must be warmer up there, who knows!? All I know is they have lots of room bellow my ribs but I guess they don't want me to forget they are there. Last night they were hitting hard so I started to retaliate and pocked them back. I am bruised on the right side and then they moved to the middle. Next week they will be on the left side.(I hope as my right and middle won't be able to handle much more!) My friend tells me to just wait because one day it will be my bladder that baby is kicking and hitting, I'll take the ribs!
Prego pants have become my favorite friend! I also quickly learned that it is VERY nice to not have to unbutton and zip pants every time you go to the bathroom, as you go to the bathroom A LOT and sometimes wait too long to go. Not having to unbutton and zip things help prevent, well you know! Sleeping is becoming more uncomfortable, but that was expected. Someone who sleeps on their stomach is going to have a hard time adjusting to sleeping on their side. I eat, well I eat anything now a days! JP reminds me not to overindulge. I explained that baby helps me with that as portions can no longer be big, but small and more frequent. I still LOVE telling people I am pregnant. My patients get all excited and ask if it is my first. I don't know what it is about prego's, but people are more kind to you!
Well there is your prego update, with pictures and the big reveal coming soon!

Just Bailey and Me
Since JP is in South Dakota with Molly, it has been just Bailey and me for the past six days. Even thought Bailey does miss Molly and his dad, he has had a good time by himself. Bailey has really enjoyed sleeping on the bed, although I didn't enjoy it as much because he likes to cuddle with my baby belly and it is very uncomfortable! If I let his sleep on the bed he sleeps in until nine o-clock. Yesterday I took him to the pet store and bought him a new food dish, as he decided he didn't like his old one anymore and broke it into two pieces. The past two nights he has gone up to my parents house with me and hung-out. He has also gotten a lot of treats. Bailey has also enjoyed playing with his toys all by himself and not having Molly steal them! (Little sisters ruin everything, right!?) JP should be returning LATE tonight or early tomorrow morning.
I am use to being a hunters widow and actually don't mind the time alone. And I make sure I don't clean the house like crazy because if JP is on vacation and having fun then I should be too! (Only I vacation at my parents house, to avoid the work that needs to be done at my house!)

18 weeks
Here are your new prego pictures....

These were taken a few days early as JP is in South Dakota getting some pheasant and turkey for Christmas. I have gotten bigger in the last couple of weeks. I have also finished one and a half bottles of TUMS. The heartburn has gotten a lot better though!!! Our appointment to find out if it is a boy or girl (and yes we are finding out) in next Friday, but we are having them put it in an envelope and opening it Christmas Day. JP was and still is not so excited about this idea but he is getting better and well, he doesn't have a choice. Although I can see the bugger peaking so the envelope will have to go somewhere safe and away from our house. I have started a poll to see if you think it is a boy or girl so cast your vote! I personally don't have a preference, just a happy healthy baby is all I request!

16 weeks and 1 day

I am four months! Above is what my belly looks like. Now remember, this picture was taken about eight at night so included with this picture is the lovely food baby you get after eating! There are a couple of things I have learned in my four months and they are.....
*Eating half a bag of funyuns before bed IS NOT a good idea! You will wake-up the next day with a stomach ache that will last all day and all the next night!
*Eating a bag of microwave popcorn, however, is a good idea. And you can even share with your husband if you feel like it.
*Eating a bag of microwave popcorn, however, is a good idea. And you can even share with your husband if you feel like it.
*Over eating IS NOT GOOD! It will only cause you to have a belly ache for hours while your stomach very slowly digests. Eating smaller meals more often really is the way to go.
*Sometimes no matter what you eat you will feel nauseous!
*Going to the grocery store will be a new experience! You will either LOVE all the smells or only get half of your grocery list because it stinks so bad! FYI- Stay away from the meat section as this only causes me to gag!
*TUMS Smoothies actually taste good! They even have cocoa and cream ones. And if you really can't stand them, they make extra strength ones so you can eat less. (That is in theory, you will have to eat less, but it is not always the case!)
*Heartburn can be triggered by ANYTHING! (Mexican is a BIG trigger!)
*They really do make cute prego clothes. You just have to search a little more.
*Wearing your "regular" jeans may not always be an option, even if you do use a rubber band. See you hips and thighs are going to get bigger making it difficult to get those pants up and even with a rubber band you won't be able to move or breath!
*Wearing your "regular" jeans buttoned up is also NOT GOOD! This will just put more pressure on your bladder and you will have to pee even more often!
*When getting up in the middle of the night, if you have dogs REFRAIN from letting them outside, no matter how bad it looks like they have to pee. This will only result in you talking as loudly as you dare at 2 in the morning and telling your puppy she is in big trouble if she does not come inside right now. Then after telling her this for about 5 minutes, while she sits and stares at you, you will have to find shoes and put on a robe and chase after her. She will then run inside and immediately hide under the bed where you cannot reach her. Make sure at this point you wake your husband and tell him how naughty his puppy is! (For the record, I would have left her outside but it was when it was really cold and there was snow on the ground and I was worried she would freeze. Little brat!)
*Keep treats in your purse! I already did this but sometimes I don't have my purse on me, in which case...
*Keep treats in your car! Fruit snacks, pretzels, anything you can hurry and eat.
*If you get busted in the bathroom on fast Sunday eating by one of the young women in your ward simply tell them to NOT use you as an example and keep eating! (BTW- My mom said the stage is a good place to hide and eat as well as the nursing room, if your ward building has one.)
I can't think of anymore things right off hand so there you go!

Are they re-usable?
I know times are tough and people are cutting back where ever they can. They are not spending as much money, re-using things, etc. BUT, somethings are not suppose to be re-used. Case in point...
Yesterday I was working on a patient and they were telling me that they don't floss very often. They had no excuse, just lazy I guess. I told them about floss picks and how nice they are to use. We have some samples of the floss picks, so after I was done cleaning the patients teeth I showed them what they look like and gave them some to try. The patient looks at them and then asks me "Are they re-usable?" I just about gagged but maintained a straight face and said "No, they should only be used once." To which the patient replied "That's what I thought but I thought I would ask." EEEWWWWW!!!!!!! Have you ever smelled your floss after you use it? Don't you have a nasty taste in your mouth after you floss? Do you know what that is? BACTERIA! Would you really just rinse off the floss and use it again? I know you re-use your toothbrush but that is different. So people please, DON'T RE-USE YOUR FLOSS! And if you are going through hard times they sale floss, and floss picks at the dollar store. My job is never boring!

Family to the rescue
My sister Kimberly is probably going to be embarrassed by this by I am going to post it anyway. First off I want to say I LOVE MY FAMILY! I really do have the best family ever, blood and married. We would do just about anything for each other. Case in point.... Kimberly was out driving around with a friend the other night. I get a phone call around 9:30 and she is asking for JP. The only reason my family calls and asks for JP is because their car has broken down, or something else needs to be fixed. I LOVE my handyman husband! Anyways I don't hear what Kimberly says but I hear JP say I am on my way. So we jump in the truck and JP tells me that Kim is stranded on the side of the freeway with a dead car, in Woods Cross. Off we go. We find them and JP gets to work. He jumps the car then he figures out it is not the battery but the alternator that is bad. So then he is worried they won't make it home because turning on the lights of the car will drain any juice there is and they will be stranded again. After we let the car run for awhile we decide it is best to get off the freeway. So JP backs off while Kim and her friend follow. As we are driving, VERY VERY SLOWLY on the side of the freeway, a highway patrol man pulls up behind us with his lights on. I tell JP he should probably explain to the highway patrol person what we are doing so we don't get in trouble. JP jumps out and runs up to the patrol man and tells him what is going on. The guy was cool and said he would follow us off the freeway so there were at least lights in the back. We get off the freeway and turn into the Village Inn parking lot. After sitting there for awhile JP decides we should not let them drive home and we call, who else but TRIPLE AAA. We give them all the information and I tell the lady we are in the Village Inn Restaurant parking lot. Too which she respond, what Village are you in? That's not a good sign! The tow truck gets there and we are on our way home. Kim and her friend rode with us so JP had to clean out the back of his truck a little so one of them could fit. Poor friend, because the whole way home they are holding up stuff to keep from falling on them. JP told the friend to go to Checker or Napa and get a new alternator. The friend then asked if they should take it into a store to have it put in, JP responded with "I think Kimberly may know someone who can change it out for you!" We ended up getting home around 12:30 but I don't mind, that's what family is for right!!!!!

Oh the joys of naps!
I have always been one that has enjoyed a nap or two but since being pregnant they are the best thing ever! On the days I start work at 7 I get home at two, which means NAP TIME! Molly and Bailey have also benefited from this and will take a nap with me. Bailey jumps on the bed and lays down immediately. Molly jumps on the bed, then jumps around for a couple of minutes then lays down on top of me. Literally on top of me! I end up pushing her off because I can't breath or her bony elbows will dig into me.
Now the only minor problem with my naps would be the fact that I can take a three hour nap. That's right, I fall asleep around three and wake up around six, or whatever time JP gets home. The puppies are actually OK with this as long as I don't move too much. Daylight savings time also helped because now Molly doesn't think it is time to eat until six. Before daylight savings time, if I rolled over and it was close to five or after Molly would turn into crazy dog! (Crazier then she is normally!) I would have to tell her to lay down but that would only last about ten minutes. JP has gotten home multiple times and I am still snoozing away. He doesn't think it is fair but then I point out that I woke-up around 5:45 AM, so yes it is fair that I take a nap. Those of you who can wake-up around NINE get enough sleep without naps. I know this schedule will change dramatically in May but until then, BRING ON THE NAPS! Happy napping everyone!

What did you order?
The other day I got online and looked at some maternity clothes. Well, one of the stores I like was having a sale and they had some cute maternity clothes, so I indulge and got two shirts and a pair of pants. Would you know the UPS guy delivers them at 5:30 on a day JP g0t home at 5! JP also happens to be out front when the package is dropped off. I am getting the package off the front porch when I hear "What did you order?" There JP is standing smiling at me. I smile back and tell him that the baby ordered something because they don't want me attempting to get into some of my non maternity clothes anymore! Later JP comes inside to see what I ordered and accuses me of hiding the package. If by hiding you mean setting on the middle of the bed then yes I am guilty of hiding it! Little does he know that packages will be sporadically appearing over the next seven months. Bring on the maternity clothes!? (I think!)
3 months and Cute Grandma
Today baby Dillier is 3 months old (that's 12 weeks in case you wanted to know). That means in 8 weeks baby Dillier will hopefully reveal if they are a boy or girl. I am showing but not in a good way! I am showing in that is she fat or pregnant way, ugh! I still get those moments where I am off in thought and someone says congratulations and I go, that's right I AM pregnant. Today my dad was asking how I was and how the baby was. It was a crazy day and I stopped and said that's right I am pregnant, no wonder I am starving! Even with the wonderful indigestion I am loving being pregnant. I have also started taking a maternity water aerobics class my sister-in-law told me about and I really like it.
So far I have not had any weird cravings but I did crave KFC biscuits for a couple of weeks. I drove through once and ordered 4 biscuits and that was it. The drive through guy laughed at me. What is it with me and drive through guys!? The other day funeral potatoes sounded really good, so I searched and searched at my parents house for the recipe with no luck. What, you say, no luck with the funeral potato recipe, what kind of house doesn't have the funeral potato recipe? Well turns out they did I just overlooked it in my earnestness to find it. I ended up calling my grandma for the recipe. I would have asked my mom but she was out of town. Anyways, my cute beyond belief grandma is giving me the recipe and asks if it is for me or a funeral. I tell her they are for me. She then gets really excited and says "If that baby wants funeral potatoes then I will make them for you!" I tell her it is OK and now that I have the recipe I can make them. Of course this is not acceptable to her and she insists on making me the potatoes. So I give in and she tells me she will drop them off at work the next day. Then I get a phone call about an hour later and she tells me the potatoes are ready and she can have them heated up by the time I get up to her house. This was very tempting but my stomach was shouting NO MORE FOOD! I got the potatoes the next day and yes they were as good as I thought they would be. And they have continued to be good, as I have a 9 by 13 pan of them!

Don't blame it on baby
Since getting pregnant, baby and I have been a having hard time finding that something to eat for dinner that doesn't make us have indigestion all night. I am NOT complaining, just stating a fact. Even if I eat early I will lay down to sleep and here comes the belly ache. The other night I was laying in bed rubbing my belly and said "Oh baby, you need to stop beating me up." JP turns to me and says totally serious "Don't blame it on baby. They didn't do anything."
Technically baby is too small to have done much but, it is because of them that it takes me like 12 million hours to digest instead of the normal 6 hours (or how ever long it is). My body is taking every last nutrient it can from everything I eat (even if it was not nutritious, like a doughnut which tasted really good!). Now I have not, knock on wood, thrown up, so if I just get a belly ache every night and have to live on TUMS them I am fine with that! (Even if TUMS do taste rancid, they work really well.)

The post you have all been waiting for!
Here it is, the post you all have been waiting for....
I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!
I am ten and a half weeks along. Here is where I would post a picture of my little peanut but you are going to have to wait until I go to my parents house and scan it in! My due date is May 5th!
It has been a surreal and crazy past couple of months. For those of you who want to know the whole story keep reading. As you may or may not know JP and I ended up doing IUI. What that is is intrauterine insemination. I took those home ovulation tests and when it showed positive we called and went into the Reproductive Center the next day. JP made a deposit for them and an hour and a half later I went back and they put the little swimmers in with a catheter type thing. Very comfortable!? Then we waited two weeks.
I took a pregnancy test three days early and it said negative. I took another one the day I should have started and it was negative too. I took another one a couple of days later and nothing had change. Of course I was upset but what were our odds of it working? Well two weeks later I had still not started my period so I took another test while I was at Fish Lake with my in-laws. Guess what it said? It was a very light positive. I didn't really believe it but I took another one three days later and it was a light positive too. Everyone I work with kept telling me you cannot get a false positive, so even if it is light it is positive and I was pregnant. So I called the doctor and told them I was pregnant. I also scheduled an ultrasound. See when I was going through all those fun fertility test I was told I have some polyps on my tubes and where they are located puts me at a high risk for ectopic pregnancies. Just what I wanted to hear!? Hence why I scheduled the ultrasound. This is where the story gets weird.
I would have been six and a half weeks when I went in for the ultrasound. JP and I were very excited to see our baby. Well the lady looked and looked and took lots of pictures. Then she tells me to go empty my bladder because she wanted to do a vaginal ultrasound. I go to the bathroom and come back and the lady continues looking and taking pictures. The whole time I am watching the screen and things don't look "normal" to me. Finally the technician tells me that I was pregnant but I miscarried. This was definitely not what I wanted to hear. Thank heavens JP was able to get off work and come with me because I broke down! Even typing this now makes me tear up a little. We left and I came home and climbed right into bed and fell asleep. You know how sometimes you think I will just sleep and when I wake up it will have all been a horrible dream and things will be OK, that's what I was hoping!
My doctor wanted my body to do its own thing and pass the baby on its own. So I schedule another ultrasound for a week later to see how things were progressing. In the mean time I was not cramping but I was also not really bleeding. I was spotting lightly and that's all. A week later I went back in. JP was not able to come with me because of work, I think more he couldn't emotionally handle being there. I don't blame him! I didn't want to be there either but had too be. The lady calls me back and I explain why I am here. She starts looking and I am watching the screen and things look a lot different then they did the week before. She takes some pictures and next thing I know she turns on the heart beat and I can hear a heart beat. Again I broke down sobbing! I was shaking so bad. I kept asking the lady if that was real or not and she said that it was real and there was a baby. She then told me to empty my bladder and went and told my doctor.
After going to the bathroom she took me over to talk to my OB-GYN. He had no idea what to say. He gave me a 50/50 chance of things being OK. I KNEW things would be OK! I just felt calm and peaceful about it. He then told me that I could not work out for the next little bit and I would be visiting weekly for ultrasounds. In the mean time I was frantically trying to get a hold of JP. I called his work phone and cell phone multiple times. He finally called me back as I was driving home. I told him that there was a heartbeat and a baby. I broke down crying again, as did JP. Later JP told me he was on a job working on a safe and when he started crying the lady working at the gas station was all confused. I did not let JP tell anyone until we had two good ultrasounds. So after my ultrasound the next week I called him and said you can tell people now. He proceeded to call everyone in his phone, including my brother. I am very excited but JP is ecstatic! I went in for my ten week visit on Wednesday and the baby was going nuts. They were flinging their arms and kicking their legs. The doctor said "You have a very active baby." To which later my dad said "Did you expect anything else?"
Thank you every one for your positive thought and prayers!

Viva Las Vegas
JP and I took off to Vegas last week. We left on Wednesday night and after some stops in Provo for JP to work we headed to St. George. We stayed there for the night and the next day drove the rest of the way to Vegas. We stayed at Excalibur, which was really nice. JP decided to sign up to go to a time share presentation because it would get us free tickets to a show and give him free gambling money. Friday ALL morning was spent at the time share presentation. Now that JP has been to one it is VERY safe to say he will not be attending another, EVER!! At least I won't be attending one ever again! The rest of that day was spent hanging out with my family, who was also there. That night we ate at the steak house in Excalibur and it was really good! I had a cold so I was not up for much, so JP went gambling and I went to bed. The next day we just hung-out. We went over to the shops at Cesars and wondered around. That night was our show. We saw Chris Angel Mind Freak, and well it is a good thing it was free (well technically money wise it was free but time wise it was not!) because I was not too impressed. The cirques so le (I have no idea how to spell that!) people wrote the show with Chris. So it was a lot of dancing in crazy costumes and very little magic tricks. If you are going to Vegas in the future this is a show that you can miss and be ok with it. JP originally wanted to see Beatles LOVE but because the tickets were free to Chris Angel he chose those. I would pay the extra money to see another show. After the show JP again headed to gamble and I headed off to relax and watch tv. The next day was a lazy day. We ordered room service and took our time getting ready for the day. We went back to Cesars and JP went to FAO Swarts to check out the transformers. He ended up not getting the huge one and is now on the look out for it here. Then we headed back to St. George. That night JP went to the priesthood session, while the girls went to Tuachan and saw AIDA. I love AIDA. It really is a good play. Sunday we slept in and took our time getting ready. JP didn't wake up until around eleven. We headed to come home around four and after another stop in Provo for JP to work again we were home! I really like going on vacation but I also like coming home to my own house and bed!

No family party is complete...
without a visit to Instacare! Let me backup a little. Yesterday JP went to a birthday party for his Grandma and I went to a baby shower for my sister-in-law. After the shower, my sisters and I were going to a movie. Jp was going to go to the U of U game with a friend. I fed the dogs and off to the movie I went. I called JP to let him know I fed the dogs and his sister answers the phone. I ask if they are still at the party and Jennifer is like "Well, I will just break it to you...we are at Instacare." I get worried and ask what happened. Jennifer tells me that JP either broke his elbow or tore ligaments. I just laugh and she comments that at least I can laugh.Well, thats all you can do in a situation like that! She hands the phone over to JP and I get mad at him for not calling me sooner. He says its no big deal, he is ok. I explain that visiting an Instacare IS a big deal! He justs laughs at me. This is the part in the story where I feel like a bad wife but my movie was about to start and I knew that JP was in Centervile so I tell him my movie is about to start but I want him to call me after they take x-rays and know what happened. Yes, I did not drop everything and go to his side. I know I am a horrible wife but when your husband has been to the Instacare as much as mine has and he didn't even bother to call me I didn't feel too bad.
To make matters worse JP is on call this weekend and he couldn't even go to the game because he had to work. He did not break his elbow, he just tore ligaments and gets to visit a specialist this week sometime. Oh, and if you are wondering how this happened it's simple, JP was playing tackle football with the other guys at the party. See this is why you don't play tackle football, especially when you are almost thirty!

Our basement flooded on Monday. I discovered it when I was doing laundry and the carpet sloshed when I walked on it. I called my brother Joseph and he came over and helped us move everything out of the room. Thankfully nothing was ruined. I thought the water may have come from the air conditioner but Joseph pulled up the blinds to one of the windows and there was about three inches of water in it. Turns out a sprinkler pipe broke in the back and who knows how long it has been leaking. It was pretty entertaining though because Joseph kept telling JP he would need to pull up the carpet pad and JP kept saying he wasn't going too. They went back and forth for awhile, meantime I am just in the hallway listening and smiling. Two stubborn people make for some entertainment! Well after all that JP ended up pulling up the pad the next day. My dad was kind enough to pick up all the box fans he has at his office and bring them over. Our basement is now a disaster! It is going to take awhile to recover but the up side is I will now get rid of stuff I don't use because I won't want to find a place to put it. DI here comes a lot of stuff!

New Low
Now I am not one for yelling at random people but yesterday I hit an all time low and well, yelled at some random person. See I was dropping my parents off at the airport and it went smoothly until a car decided to pull right up my butt! I was waiting for the truck in front of me to move because I had no where else to go. I realized the truck in front of me was unoccupied. Someone had parked and left their car at the drop off area. This made my mad! Then the lady who pulled up my butt starts honking at me to move but I have no where to go. I can see her in my rear view mirror getting mad at me and she honks again. I get out of my car turn to her, put my hands in the air and say "I can't move because you are way to close to me in back and the truck in front of me has no driver in it." I then get back in my car and wait. She backs up about 5 inches, which is no help so I continue to sit and watch her in my rear view mirror. She backs up a little more so I try to get out. Still to no avail. Finally I think the stupid lady behind me gets it and backs up more and I make it out. When I finally make it out who should show up but the retarded driver of the truck. I almost rolled my window down and yelled at him too but decided against it as he was a big scary looking man and I wanted to live! Not one of my high points. Oh and did I mention that my parents got to watch the whole thing, as did the other people around us!

My TV is possesed
JP and I have enjoyed cable for many years. Recently our cable box kind of exploded and stopped working. It was really tragic actually. JP called the cable company and they wouldn't send us a new box until they tried to fix it over the phone. So after a 45 minute phone conversation, our cable box was supposedly fixed. Well, after two days come to find out it was not fixed. So again JP calls and is on the phone for another 45 minutes. This time they agreed to send a new box. So now we are enjoying our cable again. The only problem now is someone around us has cable through the same company we do and somehow their remote changes the channel on our tv. This gets really frustrating! I will be relaxing, watching tv and next thing I know the channel changes. I have figured out that it is a guy because it always changes to baseball or nascar or some other manly show. Sometimes we play a game where for about 20 minutes we are switching channels back and forth. Then it stops. I need to call the cable company and see what we can do about it because it is annoying!

JP's garden
So there is no picture to accompany this blog because it is lost somewhere in the computer. Have to love technology!?
JP decided to plant a garden this year. It is about four feet by two and a half feet. He put a short fence around it to keep the dogs out, mainly Molly, but Molly was not stopped and jumped over the fence. I don't think she will do it again though because she got in big trouble! JP planted tomatoes, strawberries and peas. So far the strawberries are doing really well. The tomatoes have seen better days and the peas are starting to grow. He makes sure to water it everyday and sprays for ants and other bugs. I hope he has a greener thumb then me or we will not have much of a harvest!

JP's new truck
JP has been wanting to get a work truck for awhile. He has looked and looked but he never found anything. The other day I mentioned that if he was serious about getting a truck now would probably be a good time because car dealers are having good deals. He looked on line and looked other places and three days later he is calling me telling me he found a truck and he is bringing it home for me to see. I really didn't care what the truck looked like or how much horse power it had, I cared if my I-Pod could be plugged into the radio, if running boards could be put on and if it had child lock on the windows and doors. Check, being installed next week and check! While JP was signing paper work I was at dinner with Joseph and Jamie. They couldn't believe that I was not with JP looking at the truck. I explained that he had driven it home and I really didn't care what it looked like. Had it been a family car I would have made my opinion known but since it was a "work" truck for JP I didn't care. They still couldn't believe it.
It took JP almost three hours to sign paper work. Apparently he was talking them into giving him a deal on the running boards and a liner for the truck bed., which worked! Next week the running boards and liner will be put on, along with a key less entry. I think it is dumb that it didn't come with a key less entry but I guess that is how they make money. JP gave his brother a transformer window sticker for his car and, of course, as soon as he had time JP got one and put it on his truck. Next will be the duck club stickers. In a couple of weeks his truck will be transformed with a tool case and a rack and then he will be in business. We will be getting rid of the van so if you know anyone who is interested let me know because our drive way is out of control!
Is this all for you?
All I wanted was my smoothie, two sugar cookies and a cinnamon roll. What I got was a 19 year old questioning my eating habits. I drove through Kneaders (YUMMY) and ordered a mango smoothie, two sugar cookies (one for me and one for JP) and a cinnamon roll. The person told me how much it was and I drove to the window. When I get to the window the kid asks if this is all for me as he hands me the bag of goods. I look at him and say "what?" He then asks again if this is all for me. I laugh and say no. He turns around to get my change. Then as he hands me my change he says "I was just wondering because if it was you should eat healthier." Thank you young kid for telling me my eating habits suck! Really!? Can't I order two sugar cookies, a smoothie and a cinnamon roll without having to defend my eating habits!

Dog Tails
JP and I went to Fish Lake with Joe and Jen a couple of weekends ago. The boys went golfing one day and the next went fishing. So Jen and I hung-out at the cabin with the dogs and watched movies. Well I was watching a movie and Jen was looking through photos. I smelled something weird but just brushed it off. Then Jen looks up and says "Does it smell like something is burning?" I say yes and we proceed to see what it could be. Well Bailey had fallen asleep at my feet and his tail had gone into the heater. So we were smelling is tail hair burning. Luckily it did not go through to the skin. Nice mom I am huh!? The picture, if you didn't figure it out, is his tail.

Where have I been?
No where really fun. I have just been lazy!
Summer has officially begun. The pool is open, the BBQ has been uncovered, the sunblock and beach towels have been dug out, my shorts have been unpacked (this was a little traumatic as some did not fit as well as they did last year!), my skirts are now being used instead of just looked at and most importantly the flip flops have come out! I do not like shoes so flips flops are perfect for me. I live my summers in skirts and flips flops, with a shirt too of course! I LOVE SUMMER and I want to go hiking and camping a lot this summer. I hope that really happens and is not just a thought. If any of you have fun places to hike or camp let me know.
Also, today marks my one year mark. I have been working for one year now and it has been a great year! I love having money to go shopping (and I go WAY too much but I am getting better!? Whoever thinks Costco is the hundred dollar store is wrong, it is Target!) I am less stressed out about finances and can relax more. In fact I now have savings! While I was in school my savings slowly depleted until it was negative so it has been nice to build that back up.
Other then that JP has taught me that there is a difference between a car and a vehicle. I thought they were the same thing but no they aren't (according to JP). The other night as we were eating dinner he told me that the next car we get should be a convertible. I said that is fine as long as a car seat can fit in the back. Then he said "see that is the problem with kids, you have to sacrifice for them." At least he figured that out now! He then explained to me that a car is not something you drive everyday it is more a show thing. Where as a vehicle is something driven everyday that is not so good looking. Sometimes I just nod and agree with what JP is saying even if it doesn't make sense!

Monday Night Bowling
It was our last week of bowling this week. I am sad it is over. Since it was the last week we just played for fun. The first game was a regular game, the second game you automatically got a strike in the third, sixth and ninth frame. Then the last game was nine pin strike, so if you hit nine pins it counted as a strike. I did pretty good. I got 117, 141 and 132. They also gave out awards for the highest scores. I made out with 50 dollars! I got third place in womans handicap game (265), third place in womans scratch series (433) and third place in womans scratch game (161). Then I got first place in womans handicap series (760)! JP also won strike it rich, which was thirty dollars. So all in all we did really good! We are going to play league again next January and we are looking for more people. So if you are interested keep us in mind. We are thinking starting the first week in January. Happy Bowling everyone!!!

Wicked and other stuff
JP and I went and saw Wicked Friday night and it was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed the music and the scenery was really neat. My dad had made me a copy of the soundtrack so I had been listening to it the everyday for a week before. JP would get in my car and change it but when it was just me I would listen to it. This musical really lived up to all the hype. I get worried when things are so hyped up because I have been disappointed. Call my a theater snob but it is true. The last play this season at the Capitol is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. JP is more excited for this one then he was for Wicked! Hope he is not disappointed.
Saturday night we went down to the Gateway and had dinner with Scott and Sarah. Jennifer and Lily came too. We ate at Applebees and then wandered around. Lily had so much energy! JP would run around with her while we were looking around in the stores. I am sure she slept good that night because she really was none stop for almost an hour! We went over to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for dessert. Their Apple Pie caramel apples are the best! No trip to the Gateway is complete without an apple.
On Sunday we went up to my parents house and after dinner we headed over to the park to play fat bat baseball. I LOVE when it gets warm and we can play outside again. We played fat bat for a long time, then we played kick ball and the ball died. I think it has a small hole that we made bigger. After kick ball we played keep away with a football for awhile. We finally went home after the sun went down and the mosquitoes came out. That is the down side to it getting warmer, the mosquitoes!

Monday Night Melt Down
So Monday night bowling was... well it was stressful! It was also fun. JPs sister Jennifer is in town so she came and bowled for Jamie. So it was JP, me, John, Jennifer, Alex and Lily. We bowled against my in-laws team. They showed up a little late but we finally got things going. When we finally did start bowling the lanes started acting weird and would re-set themselves. It was VERY frustrating. One time we waited about fifteen minutes before we could bowl again. We finished our first game when everyone else was halfway through their second game. We moved lanes after our first game to some non voodooed lanes. We were about halfway through our second game when everyone else finished. Our last game, since no one else was at the bowling alley, we bowled on different lanes then my in-laws so we could finish faster. Otherwise we would have been there forever. Right about when everyone else was finishing, the two kids started melting down. We had some tears and some screaming. Nate took Lily home and Alex passed out on the bench. My scores were 154, 114 and 77. I just gave up the last game and wanted to go home. If I had been under the age of 5 I too would have started crying and fallen asleep! Happy Bowling everyone! And here's hoping your lanes don't break down too!

Triple A to the rescue!!
I know I have said it before but I am glad we signed up for Triple A! Yesterday JP was on his way to Ogden to fix a station. His van started running weird so he pulled over and the van died. JP was in Ogden but not at the station. He called the station manager and he came and picked JP up because he really wanted his station fixed. After JP was done working, the manager took him back to his car. JP tried to find what was wrong but no luck. In the mean time I had called JP and he told me his van broke down. I reminded him we have Triple A and he could get his van towed somewhere. He ended up getting his van towed home. (Good thing we upgraded to get more tow miles!!) He didn't get home until 6:45 last night. Then he was in a bad mood because of his van. I had enrichment so I left and ended up talking forever and got home around 10:15. As I got home from work today the van is still sitting in the driveway. Good thing JP hasn't gotten rid of his Rover, otherwise he would not have had a car. Or I wouldn't have had a car because he would have taken mine! Triple A is a lifesaver! If they could only give out happy pills to help ornery husbands!
Monday Night Bowling
Well, our Monday night bowling is slowly coming to an end. We have 3 more weeks left. This week was fun. My scores were 118, 95, 134. (I don't remember exactly but those numbers are close.) The last game JP got a 197. He has never been able to break 200. He got four strikes in a row and then in the tenth frame got three in a row We won two games and lost one. I am not sure where we are in the standing as I have not checked them for awhile. I have decided that I want my own bowling ball. So I will be looking around but probably won't purchase one because that it what I do. Happy Bowling!

Happy 5th Anniversary
JP and I celebrated 5 years of marriage today. I celebrated by sleeping in (unintentionally) and waking up 15 minutes before I had to be to work. I kissed JP good by said I love you and ran out the door. As I was running JP yelled Happy Anniversary! After work we went and did our taxes. What a fun way to spend your anniversary!? After we headed to the Gateway and had dinner at Z-Tejas. It was very good! I would highly recommend it to anyone. Get the nachos as a starter, YUMMY! I would post pictures but I am still trying to figure out how to get them off the disk they are on. Being technology inclined sucks! I LOVE JP so much and am so glad he chose me to be his wife!

Limo ride, dinner, and the ballet
A couple of weeks ago at a fundraiser the Utah Jazz puts on I bid on and won two tickets to the ballet and a limo ride. I also got a framed ballerina picture and some signed point shoes. The ballet was last night. Our limo picked us up around 5:45 and we headed downtown. We ate at Bambara. It was really good! I had made reservations and they asked if we were celebrating anything, I told them a birthday. So they printed up a special menu that said Happy Birthday JP on the top. JP was very excited about that and kept the menu. The ballet was Treasures of the Ballet Russes. It was three different ballets. I really enjoyed it. Ballerinas are so graceful! JP enjoyed it too. I LOVE that my husband is into the theater! As we were sitting in our seats he even mentioned going to New York and seeing some plays. Hum, how soon can I make that happen!? The limo also brought us home. It was a very fun and enjoyable date night!

Happy 29th Birthday JP!
JP turned 29 today. For his birthday he got a new set of golf clubs. Being the loving wife I am I wondered Golf Galaxy for about an hour last night so he could pick out his gift. I was not able to surprise him but he was still very excited! I know absolutely nothing about golf and I didn't want to get a gift certificate. I also got him a bouquet of balloons. Molly is freaked out by the balloons and barks at them. I love balloons! All in all he had a great birthday!
Monday Night Bowling
Max was sick again this week so Jamie was not able to make it to bowling. We called our friend Corey and he came. I did well again this week. I got 140, 110, and 111. Alex was able to get more toys from the machines so he was happy! After bowling we were talking to Joe and Jen for awhile. When we got in the car JP was laughing and I asked him what about. Apparently some guy was checking me out while I talking and I had no clue. I then asked JP if he felt threatened when guys checked me out (not that it happens often but I was curious!). He told me he doesn't feel threatened if the guy isn't that good looking. If they are good looking though he was caught between being upset or happy that I was his wife, because then the other guy would be jealous of JP. Of fun at the Ghetto Town and Country!
By the way: If you happen to want to go bowling I would HIGHLY suggest a tetanus shot, for any bowling alley you go to. Bowling alleys are gross and they ALWAYS smell like stinky feet! At least I have my own shoes now!

Monday Night Bowling
This week was a lot of fun. I did get a little ornery the last game but it happens! My scores were 130, 163 and 87. I got a turkey the second game, go me! John, Jamie and JP also did well. We won one game and lost the other but we had fun. Jen mom got a new ball with the name Connie inscribed on it so we called her Connie all night. I do have to say though the place we bowl really should be called Ghetto Town and Country. I know this offends some but you really should see the place before disagreeing! Happy Bowling!

I LOVE SPRING!
The past two days I have warn skirts! YEAH warm weather. I am so excited for Spring. My rose bushes are starting to bud, as are my Lilac bushes. This will be the first year they bloom because I just got them last year. How can you not be happy on a day like today! Spring brings new birth and packages in the mail. Let me explain that last sentence. JP has been fixing up his 280 Z the past month. He has pretty much re-built the whole thing so every couple of days a new package arrives for him. He finds parts on line and orders them. When I started giving him crap about it (I was joking, more jealous the packages were not for me!) he told me I should be happy because this means the car will be fixed and can actually be driven. I will take a picture of the car once it is put back together. Right now there are parts all over in my kitchen and the garage. One day he will have his own man garage where he can make as big of a mess as he wants! For now he just makes the big messes in my kitchen and kitchen sink! Oh well, at least he is happy! HAPPY SPRING!!!!!!!

Monday Night Bowling
We had a lot of fun last night at bowling. Alex, I think, had the most fun as he was able to get people to buy him prizes out of the little machines. I think he ended up with about seven. I had a GREAT night. My scores were 155, 124 and 154. This was very unusual and is going to throw off my handicap for next week but oh well. Jamie was able to make it and she did really good too. I don't remember her scores but they were good as were Johns. JP is finally figuring out how to use his new bowling ball. He got a 193 last night. His highest score ever is 198! We won two games and lost one. We also won the overall pins. The first game we won by one point! I am starting to take bowling seriously and really trying to figure out how to play. I still don't care if we win or loose and it is more just an individual competition for me. Well Happy Bowling everyone!
On the Road Again
JP and I headed down to St George again this weekend. We went with John, Alex, Joe, Jen, and of course the dogs. John, Alex, JP and I left LATE Friday night after dinner at Heidi and Mikes. We arrived around one in the morning. The ride down was pretty uneventful except for me freaking out about the car that was overheating right in front of us that we were going to hit. Jamie before you comment left me explain. On the drive down I was in and out of sleep. On one of the times I kind of woke up, I thought there was a car in front of us overheating and we were going to hit it. So I scream JP watch out and reach for the wheel but did not grab it. JP of course starts yelling back what. Then John, who was asleep in the back, starts asking what. I explain what I thought I saw and JP explains to me there is nothing. Sorry John for interrupting your sleep, and in such an abrupt way too! At least Alex slept through the whole thing!
Saturday we went and watched JP's cousin Adam compete in a RC car rock climbing thing. If you understood that sentence you must be a red neck!! I got a nice burn and Jen and I got to rock climb in flip flops. We didn't know the rock climbing part until we arrived. We did well though and no one was hurt. Adam also did really well in the competition. Alex actually enjoyed the rock climbing but really wanted to play with a green truck because that is his favorite color. Grandma Jen must have know this because she had a green monster truck at the condo. After the RC rock climbing thing the boys went golfing and the girls went shopping. More like wandering. We went to Big Lots, Target, Petco, and Home Depot. We also went to Harmons to pick some things up for dinner. That night Charlie, Joyce and Adam (JP's uncle, aunt and cousin) came over and we had some really good lamb chops, green beans, salad, corn bread and brownies. Oh and a really good cheese ball Jen mom made! After they left I headed to bed and everyone else watched tv for awhile.
Sunday we slept in. As we were getting ready in the morning Bailey decided to throw up. I failed to mention he had eaten a crayon Alex dropped the day before. Apparently not just kids like to eat crayons, dogs do too! Only dogs throw them up and kids poop them out!! JP got in the shower and left me to clean up the throw up. It is a good thing I like Bailey so much! And how can you get mad at someone who is sick and has the biggest sad and sorry eyes like Bailey. I love my puppy dogs! The boys went golfing and the girls went to breakfast. After a yummy breakfast we went shopping. After wondering Old Navy, Target and the Dollar Store we headed back to the condo to clean up. John and Alex returned around three. John wanted to watch the presentation at four about who was going on in the college basketball tournament. I went and got us In and Out. While John watched tv Alex and I played outside. The weather was so nice! Alex dropped his toy in the kennel so I sent him in after it. He then wanted me to lock him in. So I did. He then played in the kennel for almost 15 minutes, and LOVED it. Joe and JP got home around five. So we packed up my Rav and we headed home.
I enjoy these trips to St. George so much more now because I can actually relax! I can wonder stores for hours and not worry about studying and school. I know what it is like to relax now and I love it!

Monday Night Bowling
Yes, I know it is Wednesday so I am a day late posting this but I got busy last night (and not in the way you are thinking). Monday night was OK. I did really well the first game, 147. Then the next two I crapped it up. I got 89 both games. Now it is normal for me to get eighty something but two scores of eighty something is not going to cut it. The problem is I bowl for fun. I am VERY competitive but am not serious enough to actually understand the game of bowling. You could say I got cocky and well when that happens you get humbled! Oh well, I did have a lot of fun! Jamie was sick so JP called our friend Tyler to sub. Tyler is a serious bowler, he has his own shoes and ball! He is also a very good bowler. If I remember correctly he got a 195 the first game. The next game was around 145 and the last was 153. (I think those numbers are correct. I am sure Tyler will let me know if they are not!) He and JP were having a competition among themselves to see who did better. Tyler won.
I also participated in the strike it rich. You get four tickets for a dollar. (Yes I gambled, can you believe it?) For every ten dollars in the pot JP puts one. The pot on Monday was 42 dollars. He had me put in five more. The first ticket was chosen and a strike was not thrown. The second number was chosen and it was mine. I hit eight pins. So I didn't win. I think I did so bad the last game because I was so nervous about strike it rich. If they choose your number everyone watches you try to throw a strike. I was freaking out about it.
Well there is your weekly update. Happy bowling everyone!!

I think I did so bad the last game because I was so nervous about strike it rich. If they choose your number everyone watches you try to throw a strike. I was freaking out about it.
Well there is your weekly update. Happy bowling everyone!!

Perspective
You know those moments in your life where things are put into perspective? Where you hear about someone and what they are going through and think "I am so blessed." I had one of those moments yesterday. I found out that one of my cousins, who is my age, married and they just had their second child, has a brain tumor. It is the size of a baseball and located right next to his optic nerve. I guess he has had headaches and vision problems for awhile and they did an MRI and found the tumor. It is moments like this where I realize I freak out over the smallest things! I spend too much time stressing about the small things. At these moments I am also VERY thankful for the gospel. That families can be together forever and Heavenly Father will help us. Whether that help is peace, or physical help, He is there.
So here is my plea, don't what for those moments of gratitude to happen, make them happen! Take time everyday to 'stop and smell the roses' if you would. It doesn't have to take long and you only have to think of one thing you are grateful for, but the trick is to think of something different everyday. It will help you realize what is important. (OK I am off my soap box now but you understand right!?)

JP-isms
Having been married to JP for almost 5 years you are never prepared for what comes out of his mouth. He is pretty witty! But the other day he had some classic sayings! I wrote them all down to share with you.
JP was getting a snack and wanted to watch tv in our bedroom: "I need some more milk, than I'll take those chips and dip to bed." I had to do a double take.
Whitney to me: "You look cute."
JP: "That's because she is married to me."
And last, we were laying in bed and I had just put lotion on my hands and they started to burn. So I am freaking out. JP tells me to put more lotion on and the burning will go away. I put more on and it still burns. So JP takes my hands and starts rubbing the lotion in more. He takes my bird finger and flips it up and tells me "Behind every bird is a turd."
Me: "What?"
JP: "Behind every bird is a turd."
Me: "There is NO turd behind this bird."
Then JP starts to laugh because he realizes I have no idea what he was talking about. So he explains that the person flipping the other off is the turd. Thanks?! What am I suppose to say to a complement like that!

Monday Night Bowling
Last night John and Jamie were able to come out. The quarantine has been removed from their house! YEAH! JP was at a Ducks Unlimited fundraiser and we couldn't find a sub, so we used his handicap. We played well! I got 112, 142, and 100. No eighty something this week! I was excited to break that streak but was worried because I had the worlds WORST headache!
We won one game, lost two and lost the over all pins. We had lots of fun though and that is what counts, right!? Our team was in third place though so we can't be that bad! Go Monday Night Bowlers!

St. George
JP and I drove south this weekend. We went to St. George with JP's dad and step-mom. We left Friday around seven and arrived around eleven. (I think, as I was asleep!) Saturday we slept in. After breakfast the boys headed out to play golf. The girls hung out at the condo for awhile and then wandered the mall. That night we had Pat's BBQ for dinner. (Jen brought this from home.) Sunday we slept in again. After breakfast the boys took off to play golf and the girls stayed at the condo. We bathed all the dogs, I read half of my book and watched some tv. The boys got home around seven. We drove through In and Out and then we were on the road. We got home around ten thirty. So if you did the math, we arrived home in 3 1/2 hours. JP was driving like a Nascar driver! It was scary at moments! It was lots of fun to get away for a little bit!

Round 2
First I do not write this post to make others feel bad. I do not want to offend anyone with what I say. I don't need anymore advise about what to do (already have an overload). And last I don't want people to tell me I need to not stress so much or go on a vacation. That being said, I write this post because this blog is about me and JP (plus our pets!) and what is going on in our lives. This post will expose me a little more then I would like but if I could help someone else and have them realize they are not alone then this post worked!
JP and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half now. (There you go I have now told the whole Internet. Hope JP is OK with that!?) I know to some that does not seem like a lot of time but let me tell you it feels like an eternity! I have been pocked, prodded and violated more then women should! All tests we have done come back negative for anything wrong. This is fantastic but I don't always see it that way. I know many think I am over reacting and children will come when they do, and blah blah but it is VERY hard for me to see others get pregnant no problems. I have always kind of had issues with an "oops" baby anyways.
For the most part people have stopped asking me when we will have kids. I think this is a very inappropriate question to ask anyone. You have no idea what people are going through! At first I would get mad at people for asking this, sometimes I still do get mad. But for the most part I try to brush it off like no big deal. It was like I should have gotten pregnant the day I graduated. (Believe me, I was trying. I would have been over joyed if I was!) I have shed many tears over silly things but it is a VERY touchy subject with me.
JP and I met with a fertility doctor two months ago and he put me on clomed. I knew I wouldn't get pregnant the first month, but tears were still shed when JP made me take a pregnancy test just to make sure before I started another round of clomed. He now needs to purchase me another one because one day I will need it and those things are not cheap!! Going on clomed was a hard decision for JP because he does not like drugs. If he was not for it then I would have respected him and not done it. But after the appointment he admitted that he was getting frustrated too. FINALLY! He is so good at keeping things inside. He talks to the guys he works with about it and of course they all give their advise too. I like the fact that he is willing to talk about it I just wish he would talk to me more often. He probably avoids the subject with me because I tend to over react to things (I am pretty sure I got this trait from my mom!)
Anyways, I have mellowed out a lot the past couple of months. I still get upset when I find out others are pregnant, but I get over it. There is not much I can do about it except be happy for them.
So we trek on and am thankful we have the technology we have now! Maybe my body just thinks we still live in bible times and I have to be A LOT older to have children!?

Your invited
I know when you hear those words you get excited but then when I tag on to a jewelry party at the end some of you are not so excited anymore. It is not Lia Sophia, or Cookie Lee (which both have cute stuff), it is a girl I use to work with and she makes all her own jewelry. It is really cute and you may get in trouble for coming but it will be worth it! She has really cute matching necklace and bracelet sets, plus tons of fun earrings.
I don't care if you just come and eat and don't buy anything! You will be tempted to buy something though I am almost 100% certain! You can check out her wed site and see some of her stuff. She said she has not updated the web site for awhile though and has a lot of new stuff. The web address is http://www.strungstone.com/ Check it out and then come and hang out!
When: Thursday March 5
Where: My house, let me know if you need an address
Time: 6-8 pm

Bowling League Update
Just so you know for the next nine weeks every Tuesday will be a bowling league update. I know you think I am a dork, and you would be correct in thinking that, but bowling league is a lot of fun! Last night John and Jamie were unable to make it due to their house being quarantined. If you didn't know they are all sick. :( Our friend Cory and his brother Chris filled in. My first game score was 118, second 136 and last 83. Yup, I pretty much crapped it up the last game. We did win two games though. We also missed having the most pins by one pin. Oh well, better luck next time right!? Our team is currently in second place! We should make sure to remember this feeling because we will soon be booted down. I really don't care if we win or loose, it is just fun to hang-out. Everyone pretty much knows everyone else on the league so they all cheer for you when you do good. They cheer even if you are bad, but it is more just a courtesy cheer! GO TEAM BOWLS GONE WILD. (About our team name, we are in the process, well actually I should say I am in the process of coming up with a new name. If you have any suggestions I would love them!)

Pants!
JP and I hung out with Joseph and Jamie last night. We played some games. We first played UNO Spin. It is fun but requires more thinking then UNO should! We then played Family Feud. The teams the first game were JP and me against Joseph, my brother, and Joe, Jamies cousin. Joseph and Joe won. The next game was Jamie and me against Joe and Joe again. Jamie and I won! We did really well actually. Here are some of the highlight answers that were given....
Name something women take on a date? JP yelled out Pants. Of course that was not what they were looking for. The correct answer would be make-up.
Name an event were proud parents would be found? Joseph yelled Fashion Show. He must have been watching TLC that afternoon! The correct answer would be Graduation.
And last, Besides toothpaste name something else that comes in a tube? I yell crackers. No, that was not one of the answers and why crackers was the first thing I thought of I have no clue.
We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. I want to play that game again sometime. They also had the newlywed game but it was too late to play.

Don't give away my treats!
JP is a very kind person, sometimes too kind! Case in point, I have started putting snacks in my church bag. Nine o-clock you think would be late but it comes very early! Anyways, I filled the baggies and off I went. JP goes into sacrament meeting before me so as I was coming in to sit down I see him pull out the baggies and give them to the person sitting next to him. I, of course, intercede and state if JP doesn't want a ornery wife then he better not give my treats away. The lady sitting behind us thought this was VERY funny and started laughing. I told her I was being serious. The person JP was giving the treats too still asked if he could have them, NO! I am all for sharing but I am starving and you are not about to take my treats away. I did share with him after all and JP ended up eating just about everything in my bag. One day I will learn to wake up earlier so I can eat a real breakfast. Or I will just always make sure something is in my bag!

Happy Wednesday
I love Wednesdays! I always have. In high school they were half days at school so I was home by one o-clock. It is the middle of the week, meaning only two (or one for me) work days left until the weekend!
This week was a short week with Monday being a holiday. I enjoyed my day off by sleeping in a little. Then I went to a movie with my sisters and mom. We saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a good chick flick. The family went out to dinner after at Johnny Corino's. What I got was good but Courtney and Kim were not too impressed with what they got. It was salmon with this glaze that tasted a little weird. After dinner JP and I headed off to bowling league!
I LOVE bowling league. I didn't do well this week but we still won! My first score was 111, the second score will not be printed as it was NOT good! My last score was 124, so I was able to come back. John and Jamie were sick so we used their handicaps.
Hope you had a great Wednesday!

Go Whiter Ann!!

Whitney has been performing in a dance concert the past couple of nights. Jamie, Courtney, JP and I went and watched her last night. It was a lot of fun and Whitney did a FANTASTIC job!Every time I go to one of her performances it makes me want to dance. I am not very talented in the dance department though so I refrain, unless I am at home by myself! The highlights of the performance were....
*JP singing along to the songs (boom. boom shake that thing), then commenting on remember when songs weren't like that.
*The half moon I got to see at intermission. The moon did not come out again at the end of the performance because I learned my lesson and looked away!
*JP biding on all the auction things and wanting to win the lego's. We will find out tonight if he won. He usually wins everything!
*The treats they sale for a fundraiser. JP was very excited for these and spent the whole five dollars I gave him.
*Guy or Girl. There was a person sitting in front of us and we could not decided if they were male or female. We debated it back and forth and Jamie decided it was a guy. JP agreed with Jamie. I, on the other hand, think it was just a very masculine looking female. If it was a male, they were wearing woman's jeans, had straightened and feathered their hair, and was wearing stiletto pointed toe boots. They were also wearing a motorcycle jacket. We will never know if they were male or female but they provided something for us to talk about!
*Last but not least, watching Whitney and how talented she is! She has lived at the school, literally, the past couple of weeks getting ready for this performance and all that payed off. She really has such a talent and is willing to loose out on sleep just for it. That is some dedication my friends!
Hope you have a great performance tonight Whitney!
Congratulations on a great job!
There was also a performance by JP after the concert as to how strong he is. He showed us how to break the bottom off a bottle. It was entertaining to say the least!

Bowling League and new shoes
As part of my birthday gift from JP he gave me bowling shoes! They are pink and silver colored and really cute. I will take a picture later and post it. They came at the perfect time because bowling league started up again on Monday. There are not as many teams this time but it will still be fun! Our team is me, JP, and his brother John and wife Jamie. They are both pretty good bowlers. It really doesn't matter if you are good though because I just play for fun! Next week I will remember to take my camera and post pictures. I know I am a geek but bowling league is a lot of fun! We are playing for 10 weeks and I will post my scores along the way. This week was 124, 117, and 130 (I think). Our teams name is Bowls gone wild. JP came up with it. We bowl at this retro bowling alley. They did just re-due the bathroom though, which is a HUGE plus as I would not go to the bathroom while there unless it was really necessary!

Saturday outings
Yesterday JP and I went and ran errands together. We washed the cars, which look really good, picked up rent (yes our renters payed rent one time, well close to on time), then went to the mall. I had a pair of pants I needed to exchange and I convinced JP to go with me. I don't like shopping by myself. I guess it has to do with growing up with a big family and not ever being alone. Anyways we walk into the mall and JP had to use the bathroom. I told him I know where one is and we walked into Dillards. I head downstairs and turn the corner and no bathroom. I really thought that was where it was. JP keeps looking and I go and look at bras. They were having a really good sale on some of them. JP found the bathroom and came back to find me. He then exclaims I just brought him downstairs so I could look at the bras. I told him I really thought there was a bathroom down hear. I make my purchase and we head out. I go into the next store and exchange the pants. I was really fast. We then keep walking the mall. JP sees a sunglasses store and heads in. Thirty minutes later we walk out with no glasses. I was totally bored in the sunglasses store and JP insisted on trying on all the glasses. We then head out to Walmart to purchase the new Madagascar movie. Then we run to the pet store and finally down east. Next time we have errands to run we better start earlier because we didn't get home until around nine.

Grocery Shopping
On Sunday I went up to my parents house and discovered the cupboard was bare. Due to everyone being out of town for the past week groceries were not purchased. I found what I could in the freezer and we had dinner. On Monday night I took Courtney and Tanner grocery shopping. It was eventful! We started out in the produce isle. We found some carrots, yogurt. Then moved on to get string cheese, frozen pizza, and other things. As we were walking Tanner looked at the cart and commented on how empty it was. We find things and head to check out. We check-out and Tanner checks to see how much we saved. Not that much because I was not checking prices closely. Then as we are pushing the cart to the car Courtney informs me that the kid bagging the groceries was checking me out. I just smile and laugh. Tanner then tells Courtney that usually once guys see a ring they stop checking a girl out. Again I just laugh. Who knew that grocery shopping could be so entertaining?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
I know I should not be wishing myself a happy birthday but why not right!? I do always buy myself a birthday gift, which will be purchased later this week. I am not sure what to get myself yet. In JP's and my family birthdays are a big thing and they always call and say happy birthday. I think it is very nice of them to remember and call. I am not so good at calling them on their birthdays, sorry! (I did put them on my phone calender though so hopefully this will help me remember to call) When I left work my phone kept ringing with new text messages and voice mails. Isn't technology nice!? (That subject is a whole new blog for another day!) Well I am now one year older and I hope wiser too so Happy Birthday to ME!

Here's Lucy!
PS: That is JP's dirty laundry next to her. She does not stand still very long so getting a picture was just about impossible!

One of those days
Today is one of those days, you know the kind where you should just climb back into bed and stay there until tomorrow! I did sleep in which was nice. JP also went and got some lunch for me too, another bonus. But that is where all the good ends.
First JP took the renters check in to deposit and low and behold there was insufficient funds. Really!? I should not be surprised at all, but seriously this women does not care if she has a place to live. I have put my foot down and they have until the end of February to move out, or I will help them move out and I would! See this rent check is for January. Yup, it is now the 24th and we have not gotten January's rent from them. JP is usually pretty nice to them. He said he went over there and got mad at them and of course the lady made up excuses and what not. I don't care anymore! I now I am heartless but IF YOU WANT A PLACE TO LIVE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! I know it is kind of a weird concept, actually paying for a place to live, who does not? Everyone!!!! So if you know anyone who would like to rent a house in West Jordan let me know. And for the record JP is actually VERY nice to the renters and I cannot talk to them. He is afraid I will make them mad and they would trash the house. The house is usually trashed anyways but I respect husband and leave them alone.
Then I went to get a prescription filled and come to find our we no longer have health insurance coverage. WHAT!? I was about to go off on the pharmacist and then refrained realizing it was not his fault. He kept asking me questions, like did JP's employer change the plan. Um it is an individual health plan, it is not through an employer. I gave up and finally asked how much the prescriptions would be if I just payed for them. He told me and I said fine. I came home and tried to call my insurance guy and he is not in on Saturdays. I then tried calling select health directly and their hours today are only until two and it was three.
Last but not least our Dish box is having issues. JP has called them and they will not send us a new box. We know the box is broken because it makes weird sounds but they will not give us a new one until we go through tech support with them over the phone. I WANT MY DISH BACK! I told JP to just call them and tell them we want to cancel our Dish and have decided to go through another company. That should get them to help us right away! (Hopefully!)
I am DJing a dance for my brother tonight and I hope and pray that this bad luck stuff stops following me. I can't take anymore of this stress! Do you think they would mind if I just wore my pajamas to the dance? This way I would at least be comfortable!
Oh well, if we did not have bad days we would not be grateful for the good days, right!? Hope your day has been better then mine, and here is to a better tomorrow!

Airport Taxi Service
So my whole family went out of town today, except JP and me. You know what happens when you are the only one not leaving? You take everyone else to the airport. Actually I don't mind, I love the airport! It is a fascinating place to people watch. I woke up at seven twenty and took Joseph and Jamie to the airport. They are headed off on a cruise to Mexico with her family. I then headed up to my parents house and proceeded to take them to the airport. They are all off to Hawaii, them and enough luggage to last them a month! It was pretty comical because everyone was holding a carry on on their laps while we drove to the airport. I finally made it back home around ten. Next Saturday I get to do the whole thing again, only a LOT earlier. My brother and sisters are flying home on the red eye from Hawaii and that afternoon Joseph and Jamie will come home. The one good thing about this is I am getting a lot of payback points that I can cash in later. Actually the best thing is while I was leaving the airport the first time a airplane was landing right in front of me as I was getting on to I-215. That is cool!

I will never measure up
Last night JP and I went and ate at Quizno's. I ordered a sandwich plus soup. I got the broccoli cheese soup and offered some to JP. He tried it and said it was good. I thought it was very good. As we sat and finished our dinner I realized there is one person whose cooking I will never measure up too...Diane's.
It does not matter how good my meatloaf is, it is always compared to Diane's and what could be different. I know putting string cheese in meatloaf is weird but I was trying to add some dairy. And the shredded up carrots add color but you can't even taste them!
Diane's spaghetti was also very good and again not matter what I do it does not taste the same. Did she put green peppers in her sauce? I have no idea.
Her chicken noodle soup. Again mine was good, others besides me liked it too. Don't get me wrong, JP always eats whatever I cook but then he tries to figure out what is missing. I know what is missing and unfortunately it can't be fixed.
And last her bug, broccoli, cheese soup. I have not attempted to cook this (1-I don't have a recipe and 2-can't find one) but I am sure if I cooked it it would not be the same. So last night I told myself I am never going to cook broccoli cheese soup. That's right, I am throwing up my hands and admitting defeat. This is one I just cannot win.

The Van VS The Fire Hydrant
And the Winner is.....
JP had a little run in with a fire hydrant the other day. He was pulling out of a driveway and speeding up to merge into traffic when... thud, he ran into a fire hydrant. The good news is no one was hurt, unless you were the bumper of the van, in which cause you could not be fixed. The better news is the fire hydrant did not break so water was not shot everywhere! The best news is upon a visit to pick and pull JP was able to find a new bumper and side mirror for his van. So all problems were fixed. Now the new bumper just needs to be painted and all will be good as new. Well, the licence plate needs to be straightened out too and then all will be good as new! The moral of the story is don't mess with fire hydrants because they will always win. (If you do decided to duel with a fire hydrant, which is really not advised, pick and pull is very close by to help you repair damages) Drive safely!
By the way: JP is just so excited I started this blog and could share this with all of you fellow bloggers!

Moving Day
No, JP and I did not move, my brother Joseph and his wife Jamie did. They made it out of student housing! I should not say negative things about student housing, as I lived there for two years, but you can only decorate cinder block so much. Their house is really cute. The best part is they are closer to us now so we can hang out even more! We started moving them around nine and we were finished around eleven. Their house is not completely finished yet so moving them in was really easy because everything went into the garage or the family room. To celebrate we are going to Nickel Cad after dinner!
What's for dinner?
Well since we are going through a heat wave (almost wore shorts today! TOTALLY JOKING) I purchased some steaks and decided to fire up the BBQ. Why not fire up the BBQ? It makes me think warm thoughts of sun, shorts, sun, skirts, and more sun. Summer is just around the corner! OK so I am being very optimistic, I am just tired of freezing! At least I have a fire place to keep me warm for now!

A few of my favorite things
There are many things that I really like to use to clean and I thought I would share them with you.
First: I LOVE the Lysol/Clorox wipes. They are so easy and convenient to use. They make cleanup a lot easier!
Second: I really like the swiffer cloth. I do not dust often but, when I do these handy clothes make sure to get all the dust.
Third: Lint rollers. For me they are mostly dog hair rollers!
Fourth: Our Dirt Devil hand vac. This saves me from vacuuming for a half hour. I vacuum the main hair traps everyday and the whole upstairs once a week. It is so small and convenient to use.
Fifth (and my FAVORITE thing): OXY CLEAN. This stuff is the best ever! I thing I should get paid to advertise for them because I tell everyone about this stuff. It works wonders on my laundry!
Molly and the treadmill
JP has been running on our new (new to us but used) treadmill lately. The problem is Molly does not like it and she insists on barking obsessively at it. If fact she does not like it so mush she has attacked it twice (it was not in motion thankfully!). I hope she gets over it because this barking is getting annoying and JP has actually stuck with a workout routine for almost two weeks, so there is no turning back. I am yet to step foot on the treadmill. I am not really a fan of treadmills but I am sure I will eventually get over it, if not I always have the Wii!

Wii Fit is kicking my butt!
Since JP got a Wii we also got the Wii fit. JP has been working out with it for awhile so I decided to try. Some of the workouts are fun and others just make me mad. For instance, the hoola hoop game. I cannot get my person to catch another hoola hoop, I just get hit in the head. I do what it tells me too but no luck. Then the soccer ball game, it sucks! Again I do what it tells me too but I don't get any of the soccer balls. I am really good at the yoga and strength training exercises, so I am not a complete failure! I am also good at the step aerobics. The bad thing about the game is it ranks you based on how you did. Well JP is ranked higher in many more then me and this upsets me. I am not more unbalanced then him! He is just better at figuring out how to play the game, even if it is not the right way. Anyways it is still a really good work out and after I did it the first time I could barely move the next day. So here is too my goal of getting into shape using Wii Fit!

Body Worlds the sequel
Whitney has wanted to go to the body worlds exhibit since it first came and I told her I would go with her. My mom, Whitney and I went yesterday, along with half of the Salt Lake valley and their children. We got there around four and emerged around seven thirty. That's right, we spent almost three and a half hours there. See there were a lot of people and then my mom ran into someone she knew in junior high. Her detour was about a hour of talking with this lady. My mom now knows her WHOLE life history since junior high. The good thing is we were right next to the baby exhibit, the bionical women, and more importantly the bathroom! Then we were worried about the meter we parked at. So my mom got her friend to let me out and tell me how to get back in. If you have been to the exhibit you know that once you leave you cannot come back in. Unless you are me. That's right, I broke the rules! It just about killed me and I had to remind myself to act calm but I got back in with no problems. And just as an FYI, if you park downtown the meters do not need more money after six. That's right, after six you can park for free. We stopped at Wendys on the way home to eat and we inhaled the food. I then came home and got into bed, feel asleep, woke up, showered and went back to bed. I was EXHAUSTED, but I enjoyed myself. And more importantly Whitney LOVED the exhibit. She took her time looking and studying everything. It was cute to watch her!
