Lots of posts

I have finally updated my blog with lots of things I have been meaning to post so sorry about the post overload!!

First snow

Hand full of snow.

Eating hand full of snow. Not sure what to think!

Technically it is Abilynn's second snow. It snowed when she was only eight days old. This was the first snow she could play in. Being the responsible mom I am, I packed her up in her snowsuit and took her outside. I then plopped her down in the snow. What did she do? She grabbed two hands full of snow and started eating it. She didn't care that it was cold. If fact the only time she got upset was when she fell over and the sun was in her eyes. I was telling JP the other day that I was not ready for snow because that means Baby Girl and I will be stuck inside. He told me that I should just pack her up in her snowsuit and take her outside to play in the snow. Maybe I will, if she keeps tolerating the snow well!

The ZOO

Abilynn and I went to the ZOO about a month ago. We went with Aunt Jamie and Cousin Tymon. We met up with Aunt Shauntel and Cousin Annabelle while there. Abi had a lot of fun. We watched the elephant show. While watching the elephant show some man pushed his way in front of the stroller and was practically sitting on top of Abilynn. He also had his kid on his shoulders. I am too chicken to say something but really should have! He didn't stay for too long otherwise I probably would have said something. We walked around the rest of the ZOO and then rode the merry-go-round. Abilynn LOVED the merry-go-round. She would have gone on it twice, but was asleep. I am excited to go next year!

Abilynn and her tiger.
Riding the merry-go-round and holding on real tight! This is one of my favorite pictures of Baby Girl.
Me and Abi.

Own room

Abilynn has been sleeping in her own room for over a month now!!! It was difficult for me. I didn't realized how scared I was for her not to be near me all night. Of course it didn't faze her at all. In fact she sleeps better in her own room!. Now she can roll and roll and not hit her head on the side of the bed. We still have to figure out the tempeture. Basements are hard to regulate the tempeture. Her room is not completely decorated yet, but is very close! I will post pictures when it is finished.

She now sleeps from 10pm- 5am, without waking up. YEAH!!! A couple of nights she has woken up at three and I let her cry for awhile. JP thinks this is mean but I know Abi can sleep through the night and one night of crying equals the next night sleeping through the night again. One night I was letting Abilynn cry and I hear JP on the monitor say "Can you teach Abi a lesson another night?" I turned off the monitor and problem solved. (The monitor we got works like walkie talkies.) After I feed her at five, Abilynn falls back alseep until around nine. Slowly I am getting my sleep back and I'LL TAKE IT!!!

NERF Wars

Kimmie figured out a way to carry extra bullets!!
Kim and Whit

Please don't shoot the picture taker!

Look like you are ready for battle!?

My brothers and JP are on this NERF gun craze! I am not sure how it all started. One day Smith's marketplace had their NERF stuff buy one get one half off. Next thing I know each of them has not one but two guns each. Then my brother Jess is searching on line how to make bullets, so they don't have to buy them. Now they are always looking for recruits to play NERF wars with them. They will play in my parents basement. My dad even played one game with them. He was a little upset when he was shot and out of the game, so instead of going upstairs he kept shooting people. The rules are pretty simple, you get shot once and you are out. Unless you are shot in the eye or hand. First team to die, looses. SO if you are in the neighborhood and bored, stop by my parents house and play NERF wars.

Gummer no more

Shortly after Abilyn turned 4 months she was chewing on my finger and bit down on my thumb and it hurt! Abi had gotten her first tooth. She wasn't really fussy or acting out of sorts so I had no idea and the tooth popped through the gums without me noticing. Two days later she was again chewing on my finger and I felt something else sharp. Yup, Abi had not one but two teeth. If she is this way with all her teeth, then bring it on! I now call her my "two teefer little girl".

Here's Abi showing off her 2 teefer's!

5 months old

Baby Abilynn is now 5 months old. Time goes way too fast. She has been a busy girl this month. I love that as she gets older she is more active. That is also not a good thing, because she gets into more things. Here is what she as been doing this month...

*She has been able to push herself up when on her belly for awhile. Now she is starting to pull her knees under her. She is going to be crawling in no time, something I am not really excited about. JP has been teaching her how to do this and I get mad at him every time.
*She can say mom. Well, she has no idea what she is saying, but she will say mmmaammaammaa. She also looks at me while saying it, mostly because she wants me to hold her or get her another toy.
* She can almost sit up by herself.
* She will ignore people. You can be looking right at her, in her face and she will look the other way. What a stinker!
* She has enough hair and it is long enough to sport pit tails. She looks really cute in them!
* Abi can pass an object from one hand to the other, without dropping it.
* She focuses really well on things.
* She smiles all the time now. She smiles when JP comes home from work, smiles at the puppies, and she has the cutest smile.
* Abi is ticklish. If you eat her belly, she wil laugh and laugh.
* She loves the stroller and going on walks. She will put her feet up on the tray and lounge.
* She loves merry-go-rounds. We rode the one at the zoo and she had a huge smile on her face.
* She loves bouncing in the excersaucer. She goes crazy in that thing.
* Abi sleeps in her own room now.
* She slept through the night and then teethed. We are now teaching her she can sleep through the night again.
* She has two teeth. She has only bit me once and hopefully that is all!!

That is what Abilynn has been doing lately!
