Easter was quite eventful for us this year. Saturday Phill took the kids over to his Aunt Jody's for an Easter egg hunt while I was at work. Avery and Phillip had a good time and Phillip actually picked it up quite quickly about putting the eggs in the basket. Sunday morning the kids woke up to find Easter eggs leading from their bedrooms with a trail to help them find their Easter baskets. They didn't really get it at first and I think Avery's response was "What? what are those eggs doing?" but eventually, with guidance, they found their baskets. Phillip received a new monster truck that was blue, Avery received a Cinderella doll, and they each had eggs filled with chocolate candies.
Phill got Peeps, and I got a bag of Cadbury mini eggs - the best Easter candy of all.
We went to Church and Phill and I both prepared and FHE Easter lesson with each egg containing an element that was part of the Atonement/Crucifixion/Resurrection of Christ. Phill teaches in Primary, and I teach the Beehives in Young Women, but the lesson went really well for both classes so definately one to do routinely with our family and Church classes.
Following Church we headed up to Windsor,CO to have Easter dinner with my Grandma and Grandpa Hull and everyone else on my mom's side of the family. The rest of my family were all away on vacation and dropping Kira off at BYUI, so we were the only ones from my family there, but it was nice to see my Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins. My Grandma Hull always goes all out for dinner with interesting foods to try. After dinner the kids had another Easter egg hunt at a park infront of my Grandparens house, and by this time they were both pro at finding Easter eggs. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed playing at the park for a while.
After the eggs were found, and after playing at the park, we headed inside, had some dessert, and then drove back home. Easter was busy, but fun-filled with family, and feeling the Spirit.
