Where is baby Jesus?'

This is what I'm yelling at my kids as they are walking out the door to school today.  We have this very tiny nativity set that sits on the piano. It is one that the kids can touch and rearrange. Last week the baby Jesus went missing. I spent the whole week looking for it. I even offered a reward of $1 to who ever found baby Jesus. Last night while I was on my hands and knees looking for the remote control under the couch, I found the little baby Jesus. I was so excited that I went around the house telling everybody that I had found him. We'll, this morning he is missing again! So I find myself yelling at the kids" Where is baby Jesus?" Nobody seems to know.
I talked to my husband later, and he kind of chuckled and said
"Aren't we all looking for Jesus? It sounds like a good life lesson for you"
After I talked to him, it did give me something to think about. In all my busy Christmas preparations,
'Where is baby Jesus?'

EARINGS

On Monday May 10,2010, me and my mom went to WALMART to get our ears pierced. She went first, then me. Before i got mine, I turned white as a ghost, then she said ''you aren't going to chicken out on this. you've been talking all about this all day.'' So I sat down. The lady has never ever pierced anyone ears before. But, she did a really great job. Mine are silver, Mom's is gold to match her wedding ring.I can't wait to take them out!! It won't be til' the middle of June!!!

The 100th day of school

Ethan wrote a cute paper for the 100th day of school. It made me smile.
So, I thought I would write it here to remember

I could carry 100 chips, but I couldn't carry 100 rocks
I could eat 100 cheerios, but I couldn't eat 100 hot dogs
I could put 100 pencils in my desk, but I couldn't put 100 pencil sharpners in my desk.
I wish I had 100 cars, but I am glad I do not have 100 dogs.
I am also glad that we do not have 100 dogs! Thanks Ethan.

Isaac's snowman

Isaac was sent home with a bag of items to make a snowman with.
This was his homework assignment.
I never got cool assignments like that when I was a kid.

He had a lot of fun forming the modeling clay, then putting the rest of it together.

This is my type of snowman building. Great job Isaac!

Potty Training Abigail

Abigail has always been a very determined little girl. So one day she decided she was going to use the potty "all by myself", as she tells me.  I wasn't really looking forward to this, but decided to go forward with it. With only a few mistakes, Abigail was completely potty trained in 3 days.  WOW!  That was the easy kid yet. I guess a little determination is a good thing, when it comes to this.

The making of a Mountainman

My big project for school this month was to make a paper mountain man doll. Last Saturday, I asked my Grandma H (who is a elementary school teacher) to come help me. We started at 10:30 a.m. and finished at 3:30p.m. It was awesome. She brought her school projector and projected a picture of a mountain man on the wall. It made it much bigger and easier to draw on my poster board. Next we cut out my figure, then glued cloth my mom bought to make clothes on it. We used yarn for hair, and brown raffia ribbon to make fringe on his outfit. When it was all done we glued it onto a big poster board.

So then on Monday, i took it in and showed it to my teacher Mrs.Williams, and her mouth dropped right open and asked'' how did you do it?'' I think I had the best looking mountain man doll in the whole class. It was cool to make. Thank you so much helping me Grandma Haacke!! It looks awesome!!!! I hope when you see it your mouth will drop open also.
