Shelley Burgon Friday, October 19 - Doors at 7:30PM, Performance at 8PM Present Company - 29 Wythe Ave. (Entrance at 103 N. 13th St), Brooklyn
The first part of Shelley Burgon's performance will be an improvised piece, gathering inspiration from a selected group of photographs from the book BRUIT DE FOND / BACKGROUND NOISE, published by JSBJ. Each image was selected by Burgon and organized into a visual score. For this process the artist looks for an underlying narrative to string the images together and interpret the feelings the images evoke or create a sound that reflects the aural interpretation of the visual.
