Happy Birthday, buddy. We can't believe Carter is 5 years old!
Carter's birth was very eventful--grandma arrived from Nevada at 8:00 pm on March 15th. At 2:00 am on the 16th my water broke. We went to the hospital early that morning and Carter was born at 9:00 pm that day. He was such a beautiful, cuddly little baby. His brothers were so happy to have another little brother to be their buddy.
So much excitement was in the air. Just before we checked out of the hospital on March 18th (Jason's birthday) we went from the Birthing Pavilion downstairs to the med school auditorium for our Match Party. We opened up our little envelope and read the letter informing us that we would stay at Dartmouth for another 6 years for residency! We were so happy. Grandma was upstairs with little Carter waiting for the news. We laughed because the news got to my mom before we even came back upstairs to tell her ourselves! Two days later we found a house and four days later our offer to buy the house was accepted. Such a whirlwind of wonderful blessings!
Carter is our little "pint-size" --that's what we call him. But he holds his own. He's funny. He's strong. He's smart. And he's just handsome! We had a big birthday celebration for him on Saturday at the new Upper Valley Aquatic Center. I think he did this water slide 100 times. It was a blast!
The 3 brothers--We love how they play together (and we're trying to teach them to work together!) Most of all it is wonderful to see how they help each other and stick up for each other.
Sisters are cool, too!
THANK YOU!!! Carter was so excited to open cards from home....this one is from Grandma Hendrix. I sure hope I remember my great-great grandchildrens' birthdays!
