The family and I headed over to the Musil's house around noon on Saturday. We were supposed to be having a Christmas party there but didn't end up doing it that day. We went to see Grandma and Grandpa Swenson (Which by the way Grandma Swenson finished painting a beautiful picture of my kids. It was like the one this page that is the 4th one down. Just a little different. I can't wait to get it so you can see how beautiful it turned out. It still had one more coat of medium to put on it and for it to dry so I couldn't take it home with me). We hung out for several hours and then went back to Pam's house for dinner. We have a magic dog that can levitate rubix's cubes. Nate bet his sister that he would be able to do the rubix cube in under 5 minutes by the time he saw her next. Which he can now.The next day we went to church with the Musil's where they had a wonderfully spiritual Christmas program. And Pam taught in Relief Society. It was nice to get to go considering i haven't been in years. She taught on Mary the mother of Jesus. It was a great lesson. Could you imagine being the mother of Christ? What an amazing women she must of been. She handed out a poem that I thought was wonderful so I am going to post it on here.

It gives me the chills every time I read it. What a different perspective that poem gives to mothers of the Savior birth. It was also a special day because my niece Olivia was blessed. All of her aunts, uncles, and cousins were there. Also her grandparents and great-grandparents were there to celebrate her birth as she received her special blessing.After the blessing and dinner we opened presents. Nichole and Natalie got a gift card from Grandma and Grandpa Musil.Ella got a Piggy Bank that keeps track of the money that you put in there.Tyler got books although he didn't want to have his picture taken. Olivia got a bouncy chair. She slept through the whole thing. And check out Matt's face. What a dork.We got to see Aunt Haley. We haven't seen her for several months. She had been away to Law School in Vermont.Grandma and Grandpa Musil playing with Ella and her new toy.Nate got a calender with Chickens on it and I got a ward cookbook. We both got $100.00 from his parents. Tessa and Haley both made us goodies.The girls showing off the hair barrettes that Aunt Haley made for them. Tyler got a spiderman school set.

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with the Musil's. The next few days were spent making Christmas goodies and putting together a puzzle.

To celebrate the holiday season the kids had a winter party (they can't have Christmas parties here) in their classes. Nate was lucky enough to go with us to the party. We got to spend 3o minutes at each party. In Tyler's class they made bell necklaces and watched a holiday movie. Mrs. Bowlden got the kids a book, a pencil, and an eraser. They kids got a ton of junk food to eat too. And ran around Tyler's class in a sugar stupor.In Ella's class they just handed out presents and ate their food. In kindergarten they only have 3o minutes to have a party anyway which just isn't long enough. She got a book from her teacher and enough treats to feed a small army.

This poor little guy got scratched by a cat and because of that he got an infection. He got an absest on the side of his face that was about as big as he was. It was so big it the puss went down into his neck. We had to take him to the vet and he had a drain put in for 3 days and was on antibiotics for over a week.We got to remove the drain ourselves. It was gross.

My dad had a wonderful idea which was for my mom and my sis fly to Idaho and spend a weekend with me. So they arrived at the airport on a Friday afternoon. After I picked them up we rushed home so that I could get Ella to school. Then we went to eat lunch here in town ans started shopping. We only went to Maurice's and to walmart. But it was the start of a very long shopping weekend. We watched Angel's and Demon's that night too.

The next day we left the house at 9:30 in the morning and headed to Boise. Our first stop. The mall. I was able to get some major Christmas shopping done there. Then we went to Target. After Target we went to lunch at Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine. That was such a fun restaurant to go to. Donnie Mac's has been on Food Network's Dinner's Drive in's, and Dives. When you first walked up to the restaurant plastic palm tree's and flamingo's greeted you. This trailer was hung up on the side of the restaurant.I love the sign in the background it says "This way to the can." I wanted to take a picture of it without looking like I was taking a picture so Joy go to be my innocent victim.Behind mom and me you can see how they took shower curtains and separated the dinning room up with them. I love how they are all miss matched. They also had those cheap vinyl tablecloths on all of the tables the ones with the cloth on the back. They were all miss matched too. They also had the backseat of cars to sit on at the table. The seats had wheels on them.If you were lucky enough you could eat inside of this awesome car.We ordered this appetizer. It was a bag of Frito's with guacamole, sour cream and salsa just scooped up into the bag. It came with our own lunch lady gloves to mix it all up with.This is the waiting area of the restaurant. It had such a fun atmosphere to it.After we went to eat we went to old navy and then went to see New Moon. Yep that was the third time that I have gone to it.We got home at 8:30 but not before stopping at wal-mart first. It was a long day. But it was very fun. On Sunday my mom, sis and I went to see my aunt and uncle in Boise. We visited with them for a while. As we were headed out the door to go home my cousin's little girl(19 month's old) dared to venture from the comfort of her mom's lap onto the floor and scooted herself across the floor to give my leg a hug goodbye. She was then picked up by her mom as we made out way to the front of the house. On a whim I asked her to give me a kiss good-bye. To my astonishment she leaned in to kiss me. Just as our lips were to meet she stuck out her tongue which then was shoved into my mouth. It completely caught me of guard. First of all I had no idea that she would actually kiss me and secondly it was a french kiss to boot. It made me laugh so hard. Oh and clean my mouth out with scope later. When we got home my mom decorated cookies with the kids.

I love the ward Christmas Party because there is always a Santa there and I don't have to wait in line forever to see him. Also because the kids always have fun and they get to participate in the Nativity story. My kids love the fact that they get to run around like crazy while they are in church and they don't get in trouble for it. This year was extra great because I got to drag my mom, my sister, and my friend with me.Johanna enjoying herself. Okay I am not really sure about that statement but she came anyway.

Nichole got to participate for the last time in the Nativity story. She was reading from the scripture's.

The best part of the girls starting 6Th grade this year is all of the fun stuff they get to do at school. They both opted to take either Band or Choir instead of all the alternative classes they could of taken. They have both really enjoyed the classes that they are taking.Karly is my number one fan. She tells me that all of the time. She reminds me a lot of me when i was younger. She is in Choir with Nichole.Nichole's Choir has 24 girls in it and not a single boy. Nichole sings Alto. She has a beautiful voice. The choir sang Christmas songs including one in Spanish and one in German.Natalie plays the tenor saxophone. She had picked up on it rather quickly. I am surprised. She has been practicing Christmas songs since September. Unfortunately for her I do not allow Christmas music in my house before Thanksgiving so she had been practicing her little heart out outside. Rain, snow or shine there will be no Christmas music being played in my house. Just kidding but we do like to tell people that.

So these pictures are way out of order but I don't want to fix them. This first picture is of JoMama and I will we are waiting in the theater. We are pretending to be vampires (we are tired and have been waiting a very, very long time.We waited so long we fell asleep and somehow magically our camera came up and took a picture of us.It took like 5 tries for me to get my finger in her mouth.And she fooled me every time she put her finger up.Outside of PF Changs
