Flying kites

The kids did many fun things with Grandma and Grandpa Musil.  One of the things that they did was try to fly a kite.  The kite just didn't want to fly.  The kids ran and ran with it but couldn't get it up.

Family time

On Memorial Day my family had a BBQ.  Since we had gone to pay respect to all of my family members who had past away the day before we were able to just hang out at home and enjoy each other's company.  We had Caleb and Ryan over to the house to hang out with the kids.  As well as all of my brothers, my sister, and her boyfriend Kory.
I had a great time although I very much so missed my military man.  I have great respect for the people in the military especially my soldier who not only fights for his family he fights for his country as well.

Joy has been getting piggy back rides from Natalie since Natalie was 3 years old!
Joy and her boyfriend Kory.
Right after this picture was taken my dad yelled at me for taking pictures.
When ever these two are together they are inseparable.  They are such great friends.
This is Caleb.  He is wearing his adjustable helmet.
This two boys are so funny.  They do not know how to climb trees.  I had to give Ryan a boost up and they take him through step by step how to turn around on the tree limb and how to move over on the branch.

Dr Pepper is my friend......

Do you see a theme to these pictures?  I would like to say that I passed on some amazing traits to my kids.  Like because of me Natalie is an amazing concert saxophonist(?) or that because of me Ella speaks 8 different languages (1 for every year of her life) or because of me Nichole is able to play Volleyball as well as she does (OK she might of gotten that from me.  We will never really know).  But nope all I pass on to my kids is my like, obsession with Dr. Pepper. I mean really there could be worse things then making your child caffeine dependant right.  In my defense Dr.Pepper is only consumed by my children on special occasions.  Like at a party, or when we go out to dinner and it's  before 4 or a weeknight, or if I don't have to pay for it. Hey if I have to pay for that Dr.Pepper I am going to be the one drinking it.  There you have it.  You now all know the trait that I have passed onto my kids.

*on a side note Tyler was not pictured in this post because he hates me I couldn't get him to drink a Dr.Pepper. Weird kid.

Utah trip

Just some random photos
My dear sweet friend Heather and her family came to Utah to see me!  I met them up in Logan.  Typically it takes 2 hours to get to Logan from my parents house.  Because of the traffic and all of the road work it took over 3 hours to get there.  We hung out at her sisters apartment for a little bit, then went to the park and took some family pictures.  After pictures we went and got ice cream and then went back to her sister's apartment to visit some more.  It was so great seeing.  I miss hanging out with her. I wish I had some more time to spend with her.
I got my second pedicure while I was in Utah and I have to say it wasn't nearly as bad as I remember it being.  I enjoyed hanging out with Mindi too!  After we got our pedicures we went to lunch and just hung out for a little bit too.
Ella wanted to have bubbles with her bath and asked me to put some in the tub for her.  I was busy doing something so my dad went to do it for her.  He put in a ton of bubbles! She loved it!
Natalie apparently got her candy stolen by someone so she left this note.
Dear whoever ate MY airhead extreme. I would like to say you're welcome. Even though you never asked (which I would have nicely said no, then eaten it in front of you), you may have now enjoyed it!- Natalie P.S. I sneezed ALL over it.  Personally I think that the dog ate it.
Natalie and her friend the Lady Bug
Tyler and I went out on a Mommy-Son date.  We went and got subway to eat and then tried our luck at Geocaching.  Unfortunately the app on my phone didn't work very well and we weren't able to find anything.  After our Geocaching I took Tyler to go and get some ice cream.

My walking partners.
Tyler talked Korey into playing a game of skipbo with him.  I can't remember who one but Ella sure did try to help.
These are the beautiful flowers that Nate got my for Mothers Day!
My mom made honey taffy with the kids.  Actually Pete and I got in on the fun too.  We pulled our little hearts out.  The taffy turned out delicious.
My dumb dog Otis sleeps on my mom's chair like this all of the time.  See how his head is laying downward on the chair.  Yeah he fell of the chair about 3 minutes later.

Crown making

Ella made crowns for her friends in Utah.  It took her almost 2 hours to make them for 4 different people.

Baby Goats

My mom has this wonderful friend from work who has 20 baby goats at her house and volunteered to have us come to her house and see them.  These goats were so cute.  They were so soft.  They had the biggest ears.  I have never seen goats that look quite like this before.  She told us the reason she picked these goats was because they were the best milk producers and she wanted to be able to provide for her family if something happened.  She also has a grandkid who has a milk allergy but she can drink goat's milk.
On her farm she also had 8 meat rabbits, chickens, and turkey's.  She also has 2 dogs.  They are very nice dogs.  There is a rule at her house that the dogs are not allowed to eat family members.  And they don't.  What they do do is tell them when one of the rabbits get out of their cages they show the family where they are hiding in the field.
Ella also got to help collect eggs in the chicken coop.  The eggs were blue, green, and brown.  They were very pretty.
The kids had a great time petting the goats.  Ella wanted to bring one home with her.  Luckily the airlines don't allow goats on the plane.

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."- Walt Disney

Our last day in California of course was spent in Disneyland. We woke up and had breakfast in the hotel and once again took the shuttle over to Disneyland.  The last day we were focusing on getting autographs for Ella and doing whatever it is that she wanted to do.  We started the day off in Toon Town.  There she was able to get autographs of Pluto, Mickey, and Minnie. We also went on the rides there.  Because of  The Tower of Terror experience that Ella had she did not want to go on any of the other big rides.  She told us that she was afraid of them and that she didn't like them to begin with.  It even took me a while to talk her into going on the small roller coaster ride in Toon Town.  We spent quite a bit of time walking around there.  Then we headed over to Frontier Land.  I was finally able to talk her into going on Thunder Mountain again.  And once again she loved it. We had to keep reminding her that it wasn't like The Tower of Terror.  We then went to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies.  Ella did not like that one bit.  She wouldn't even crack a smile at Billy.  After that we went on the essential rides at Disney (pirates) and  then went back over to California Adventures.  The only 2 things that Ella absolutely had to do again was ride the Soaring over California ride and watch the parade again.  My mom and Ella rode the small ride in California Adventures while my dad and I went on The Tower of Terror again.  By the time that we got done with all of that stuff it was 4:30 in the afternoon.  We didn't have enough time to go back to the hotel and rest so we just found ourselves a bench along the parade route and parked it there until 7 when the parade started.  While we waited Ella and I went shopping.  We picked out souvenirs for everyone and picked up food.  Then I would sit on the bench while my mom, dad, and Ella went off to do stuff.  Ella was worried that where she was at the princesses wouldn't be able to see her. She didn't need to worry about that though.  Everyone of them saw her and waved.  Aladdin and Rapunzel blew her a kiss.  After Disneyland we went back to the hotel.  It was our day to get dressed up really nice and go out to eat.  We were all just pooped out and hungry so we ended up dressing up really nice and just eating at the restaurant in the hotel.  It was good food after all.

Ella with Minnie and inside of her house

Ella with Mickey and the inside of his house.

Mary Poppins was kinda rude.  She definitely had somewhere she had to be and was too busy to stop.  She stopped just long enough for us to take her picture.
Billy Hill

Dad and I on The Tower of Terror.  All of the pictures that he got taken on the rides look exactly the same.  Eyes closed and a funny look on his face.  Mine do too.  I just have a smile on my face like I am just hanging out.

Ella got to wear my mom's necklace for our night out.

On the way home from California we drove straight to Utah.  Ella got to watch movies on the laptop to help occupy her time.  But mostly she slept.  She was just plum tuckered out.

That is exactly how I felt after our trip.  I spent a lot of time picking out presents for the kids.  I bought them all a hat.  Everyone loved their hat except for Natalie.  She hated it.  Ella got them all shells from the beach.  Everyone loved them except for Natalie.
