Stork Lady Sale

Our van (now mind you some of this stuff is for Kristi's baby)

Mom's car

Mom's car

I love the Stork Lady Sale. It happens 2 times a year and they have such great stuff for kids! I volunteered this year and the volunteers get to shop early! My mom and I went last night and got some great stuff for Cale and baby Atkinson. Cale is set with summer clothes-you can't beat clothes that are priced from like $2-6. I also picked up a basketball hoop for Cale for when he gets a little older, a table and 2 chairs (to draw and do craft projects when he's older, a few dvds, a few toys and lots of new toys and clothes for my new niece or nephew that's coming in August. Here are some pics of me and mom's car. We had so much fun!

Family filled weekend

Cale having fun with Aunt Kristi

Cale loves his Grandma

Cale and Kaia-Big

Me and Mal-love this girl!

Aunt Mal and Cale

We had a wonderful weekend with Brandi's family. Jason and Kristi were in for a quick visit (we so wish they could have stayed longer). We got a chance to see them after work Friday night and really enjoyed their visit. Kristi is doing well with her pregnancy. I still can't believe I will be an aunt in August! How exciting. Cale enjoyed playing ball and hanging with Jason and Kristi. Then on Saturday it was off to Columbia for the day to see Mallori. We had a great time hanging with her and Kaia and going out to eat at Flat Branch Pub and Brewery-yummy! It was actually snowing on Saturday and Mal had planned to take us all sorts of fun places outside, but alas the weather did not cooperate so we went to the engineering building where most of her classes are and Cale LOVED running around there! He was especially fascinated by the elevator-I think we went up and down it 4 or 5 times. Wish I would have captured it on video-his facial expression was priceless-he was totally in awe!

New word

Cale said bye bye last week! And his sounds are getting stronger and I know more words are on the way soon. It is so neat to hear him make new sounds and talk (even though it's still baby talk-it's different because of all the new sounds he is learning he can make). I can't wait for him to put more words together.

And it's fun to watch him developmentally also. Last night he was pushing his toy lawnmower around the house. A few weeks ago he couldn't figure out that you have to hold the handle at an angle, not straight up and down to get it to go and last night he just picked it up and started pushing it with the handle at an angle from the get go. It's so neat to see him understand things. He is also into putting the rings on the ring stacker-you know the baby rings with the yellow stacker and base. He wasn't interested in the longest time, but now he likes to take them off and put them on and can even do them in order sometimes!

Cale loves...

Right now Cale loves....
standing on his own
bubbles
books
being outside
walking
taking magnets off the fridge and putting them back on
dancing
story time before bed
carrying his snack cup around and eating his cheerios
snuggling and being held
talking in baby language
his doggies
running around the house on daddy's shoulder
bath time
when we play with his toes saying "this little piggie went to market....."
eating and eating some more
taking off his shoes while in the high chair
taking books off the bookshelf
playing with his toys

Cale-you are so much fun and a blessing to watch as you continue to develop and grow. Mommy and daddy love you dearly!

On the up and up

We are finally getting over colds, sinus infections, ear infections, and teething in the Koziatek household. Jeff is over his cold, Brandi is finally getting over her sinus infection and little man is still fighting his ear infections and now teething, but we are hoping this 3rd round of a new antibiotic will take care of the ear infection!

Thank God spring is on the way!

Playdates

Having fun at Monkey Joes

Cale loved the trains at Messy Days in the
discovery room.

Cale pushing Wesley around!

Let's throw everything onto the floor!

We had a busy weekend! Cale had 2 playdates this weekend. One with an old co-worker of mine and her son Wesley, and one with Elda and Kyla. Elda used to watch Cale on Friday's. It was so good to get out and have some fun. On Saturday we went to "Messy Days" at the Kirkwood Early Childhood Center with Tanya and Wesley. Then on Saturday we went to Monkey Joes with Elda and Kyla. We weren't too impressed with the toddler area there and it was so loud we couldn't even hear each other so we quickly left and went to a park by our house. The kids enjoyed playing outside. We also had Jeff's family over to celebrate his mom's birthday and had a great time hanging out and playing Play Nine-a really fun card game. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Intentional

So for the past few weeks I have just been in a funk. Jeff and I talked about it this weekend-usually I am the type that just tries to ball it up and keep things to myself. But thank God for an amazing husband who sees right through that and can speak into my heart. After our talk, although I knew I still wasn't completely out of my funk, it felt good to talk about it. Then, the next day I was listening to BOTT radio network and Intentional Living. What a great show and I thought to myself, you know I really haven't been intentional lately-I've just been going through life like whatever-my relationship with God has been stagnant and everything else has just seemed status quo to be honest. Just going through the routine of each day. Since I heard that show though (which I have heard before), I realized that maybe being more intentional with my days would benefit me and the ones I love. So the past few days I have tried it and it has worked-I have been more intentional in loving on my husband, which I have to be honest-I haven't been the greatest at lately. He needs to know and hear how much he is loved. I have been trying to encourage more with my words, show more affection these past few days and I think it has really helped us. I am being more intentional this week at work-sometimes I just want to be at home with Cale, but that is not the reality I am in-how can I be intentional at work-how can I love on those in my office and show them Christ's love, how can I do my work to the best of my ability and be positive about it, not complain and be thankful I have a job. You can be intentional in everything in life. I need to be more intentional in my walk with God-make prayer and reading the Bible a priority (I am not there yet to be honest). How can you be intentional in what you do with your life today?
