Juggling Our Way Through Life

Cale continues to amaze us. He is smart, funny, witty and on some days a challenge. He is definitely trying to find his independence, test boundaries and see what he can and can't do or say.
1)He still loves to play with trains, but lately is more into his animals
2)He loves to be outside-whether riding a bike, playing at the playground, or just going for a walk
3)He says no and pushes boundaries quite often
4)But then he can be the sweetest boy-like tonight he just looked at me as we were snuggling and said mommy, I love you
5)He still sleeps with his bear and his blanket
6)He is a social kid and loves being around other kids. He will start preschool 2 days a week in August and we are so excited for that opportunity!
7) He has learned how to put on his clothes/pj's. Although we can't say he's super excited to do it every time, he does it for the most part
8) He likes to help cook-loves helping daddy on daddy pancake nights
9)Think he might have allergies-he's been awfully sniffly lately-silly Mid-west
10) He has a strong will-this will be good in so many ways, but right now it is challenging
11) He asks questions all the time-about everything. He wants to understand the world around him
12)He adores his brother-he asks everyday-Can I sleep with Aiden at night, even when he knows that Aiden and him sleep in the same room every night
13)He is more of a sporadic napper-I hope we can hold on to naps for a little longer
14)He loves hanging with his daddy-they are great buds and do so much together
15)His imagination continues to amaze both me and Jeff-he comes up with the greatest stories for his toys!
16) He has discovered the Wonderpets and loves watching them, that and the movie Hop that he got last weekend for Easter

What is Aiden up to these days- A LOT!
1)He now has 6 teeth-4 on top and 2 on bottom
2)He gave up baby food about 1 1/2 months ago-all he he wants is the real stuff!
3)He loves, loves, loves berries-especially rasberries and strawberries
4)He loves green beans
5)Surprisingly he likes prunes
6)It look him just a little while to get a grasp on picking up food with his fingers, but now he is a pro. It's so neat to watch him develop
7)He claps-he hears music somewhere and he starts clapping
8)He still thinks his brother is the coolest thing ever!
9)He is almost crawling-we imagine any time now. He scoots some and can almost get up on all fours
10)He loves to chew on everything
11)He is one noisy kid-a lot of times he doesn't just like to talk, he likes to what we call scream-talk. It's pretty hilarious!
12)He has the chunkiest thighs ever and they are absolutely adorable
13) His smile with his cute little dimples light up anyday
14)This kid loves to nurse. When I get home from work, he cries-he will go all day with not drinking much milk out of a bottle until I get home from work to nurse him! Man is he going to be hard to wean
15) Two words-momma's boy-seriously, if I am in the room, he better be in my arms or he isn't happy. I have to be honest-most of the time I think it's pretty cute, but sometimes I wish he would go to Jeff or someone else more.
16)We are in love with this little man-his laugh, smile, the stage he's in right now just learning new things all the time
17)Sleep is still an issue-he still wakes up at least 1 time a night sometimes more. We'll get there
18)The transition of him to Cale's room has not been easy. Just trying to make sure that at least 1 kid is asleep all the time is a little complicated!
19) Just tonight he figured out pic-a-boo! It was so cool, he put a little blanket over his face and I said "where's Aiden" and he took the blanket off and just smiled and then did it over and over again. It was so cool!

We had a great time Easter Sunday! It was super busy, but we enjoyed time with family. We started the day with an easter egg hunt at our house where Cale found lots of candy! I think he had sugar in his system until he went to bed that night! :) Then we enjoyed church and lunch with my family. At my mom and dad's Cale did another Easter egg hunt and got more goodies. Then we went to Jeff's cousin Kristi's house and had dinner there. The kiddos all did an easter egg hunt there too! Cale had a blast. Aiden of course didn't really understand what was going on, so he just sat there the whole day and looked cute!

We found out from one of my sister's friend that an old time steam locomotive was going to come into St. Louis on March 27th for that evening only. Cale was super excited to go see it. So we headed downtown after work and waited for it's arrival. I must say-it was awesome! They had restored the locomotive and also all of the passenger cars. Inside were people dressed up like they were from the 1920's. Cale really enjoyed himself and I think would have stayed there all night looking at the train if we let him!

And of course, we can't go to the zoo without riding the train.
We went to the zoo on March 25 and notice we are wearing short sleeves! It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time as a family!!
