Houses and toes
So we have some great news about our house. We found renters to live in it and they signed a lease for 15 months! They move in on February 1 and we couldn't be more excited. We found out about this yesterday and then Jeff broke his big right toe yesterday afternoon! He was able to get into an orthopedic surgeon today who put him in a boot. He will wear it daily for 3 weeks then go back to visit and see how his toe is doing. The surgeon said it would most likely be 6-8 weeks before he is back to full use of his toe and foot. He is pretty sure he can still do his juggling shows that he has so we will see how that goes!
Words, words and more words
Aiden's vocabulary is exploding right now. He is putting 3 to 4 words together and sometimes even making sentences. Can't say we understand everything that he is putting together, he sure does have lots to tell us! Here is what Aiden is saying these days: Bailey, Addie, socks, pants, shirt, apple, cuties (these are just about his favorite thing to eat right now), peach, squirrels, let's eat. It's so fun to watch him and listen to him. He's just a happy, fun little kid and growing up way too fast!
A day in the life
While I mostly use this blog to write about and remember fun, good happenings, events, outings, birthdays, and more. There are also some days that I want to remember where we are just dealing with life. Life is not all about happy, fun moments, life is also about the tears, the tantrums, the not knowing what to do, wishing you had all the answers, wishing you knew how to handle different situations, and discipline. So here's a little look into our day yesterday morning.
So we woke up and had quaker oatmeal for breakfast while Jeff got a chance to sleep in. We went upstairs to wake up daddy for church and dumped a ton of toys in the middle or our floor. Cale started sweetly singing Mighty to Save out of no where. Cale and Aiden started playing on the floor in our room while we got ready for church. Not even 2 minutes later-Cale punches/hits Aiden for something toy related. Aiden screams. Cale gets in trouble and goes to timeout and screams. We go to church and have fun teaching Cale's class. Then when we get home, I am getting lunch ready and Cale has found some bubble wrap for mailing packages and starts popping it on the floor. Aiden walks over and stands on it to pop some and Cale immediately shoves him and pushes him down. Aiden's head hits the floor-he starts screaming. Cale gets a spanking and he starts screaming and we proceed to put him in timeout. Everyone eats lunch and then thank goodness it's nap time.
Whew-I love this life that's for sure, but not all of it is glorious. Being a parent is sometimes very hard and trying that's for sure! I continue to pray fro grace and patience as we continue to parent our 2 sweet boys.

Christmas 2012
Christmas was full of lots of family time and lots of fun. It was also
full of nasty colds for the kiddos which was no fun. Kristi, Jason,
Judah and Ruby came into town and that was lots of fun. We got to meet
Ruby for the first time and she is a doll! I loved snuggling with her
and wish there was more time to snuggle. She is such a happy, sweet
baby. Cale and Judah had a great time playing together. It's so neat
to watch them as they get older and how much they enjoy playing
together. We spend the weekend with my family hanging with them
Saturday and then going to the lake house on Sunday 12/23 where we met
up with Dale, Diane, Michelle, Grandma Benz, and Grandma and Grandpa
Cauble. It was good to have everyone together. Cale fought a bad cough
and runny nose for about a week before Christmas until a few days
after. Aiden's started over the weekend. By Christmas Eve, Cale was
starting to be on the mend and Aiden was not felling well at all. We
did enjoy Christmas Eve with my family by going to church, eating dinner
together and opening presents. Then on Christmas day morning we spent
time together hanging out and enjoying the day just the 4 of us. Then
Jeff and Cale went to the Koziatek Christmas dinner while I stayed home
with little man who still was not feeling well at all.
