Juggling Our Way Through Life

Here's some pics of our family from June that Jeff took at Forest Park!  It was totally impromptu and the kiddos weren't really into it, but we made the most of it. 

Jeff took Cale on his first road trip with him-just the 2 of them and Cale had a blast.  Jeff had some shows at libraries in IL June 25-27 so Cale went with him.  They got back Thursday night and Cale was already to go out again with Jeff on Friday for his shows.  So cute!  He and Jeff have this amazing bond and it's so neat to watch that deepen as Cale gets older.  Jeff is an amazing father to our boys and makes them a huge priority in his life and I know that this trip for Cale meant the world to him.  He's been talking about it for months!!  Cale behaved very well when Jeff was juggling and watched each show.  They watched movies, did some sight seeing, went out to eat, played and just hung out.  Here's a pic of Cale on the a playground in IL.  This went so well that there will definitely be more daddy and son trips in the future when Jeff has to go out of town for shows. 

Sweet Aiden,
You are 2 already, and man do we adore and love you more everyday.  You are our stinker dinker, bruiser, lovey, sweet little man and boy do you know it.  You are testing the boundaries more with temper tantrums and the word no.  Sometimes it's so hard to discipline you because you sometimes say and do the cutest things.  And other times, whew do you give us a run for our money and test the waters.  Those are not so fun times, let's be honest!  You talk up a storm and think you are a big boy.  "Aiden do it" is something we hear on a regular basis.  You love your brother Cale and for the most part want to be doing anything he does.  You love to dance, play legos, splash in the tub, and play outside.  You love your blanket (we have 2 of them in case you were to lose one and of course when you are home you like both of them) and 2 beanie baby bunnies that you sleep with.  You still love to rock every night and although you don't hold still for the most part, the fact that you still want us to rock you is great.  Tonight as I rocked you to sleep you had me laughing and smiling as you do most nights.  You were singing with me and it was just so dang cute, I couldn't keep a straight face.  And of course that made you laugh and smile!  Your eyes have me at hello anytime I see you!  Although I know your sweet little voice will some day turn into a grown up voice, I am ok with you keeping it like it is as long as your want.  You are priceless kiddo and your daddy, brother and me love you to pieces and more!!!!  We are beyond blessed to be parents of you and Cale!

Oh yes-for his 2nd birthday it was pretty low key-just did pizza and ice cream cake with family and it was wonderful.  Aiden had a great time and enjoyed opening his presents.  Not sure if he liked the tissue paper and bags or his presents more :)! 

This summer has already been really busy and a lot of fun!  We went up to Kirksville in late May and Jeff performed at a good friend of mine's church.  I have known Andrea O'Brien since attending Truman from 98-2002.  She is a dear friend and every time we meet it's like we pick up where we left off.  It's wonderful!  Jeff enjoyed juggling and we enjoyed hanging out with friends!  We've been to Kirkwood pool a few times and the kiddos are loving that!  Cale had swim lessons for 4 weeks there.  He also started a sports class a few weeks ago at Little Gym.  It's an intro to sports class where they learn basics of hockey, baseball, soccer, basketball and golf.  Cale loves it!  Aiden finished up Gymboree a few weeks ago for a while since our summer is getting sort of crazy.  We've been to the Tower Grove Farmer's market and the zoo. 

We went to the lakehouse for 4th of July and had a blast.  Cale and Aiden rode the jet skis a total of 5 times!  I am quite afraid that Aiden is going to be our little daredevil!  He kept saying "go faster mommy, go faster" every time we went out.  The first day Cale went out he only wanted to go what he called "medium speed."  But then the next day he was ready to go fast!  They loved the lakehouse and spending time with gaga, paa paa and Aunt Stef!  

We also purchased our 1st quarter of a cow and are so excited about it.  We got a lot of meat that should last us for a year!  Also got a bunch of farm fresh eggs which we are excited about too!
