Continuing to grow way to fast

Cale just started preschool this past Monday.  This year he is going M-W-F from 8:15-3:30.  He enjoyed his first day.  He has the same teacher he had last year and has a few friends that are returning to his class so he is excited about this.  He continues to grow and ask lots of questions.  He wants to know about everything in the world around him.  I have to admit, the questions exhaust me sometimes, but it's so cool to see him just soak in the world around him!  He is in love with Super Mario Brothers and MarioCart right now.  He loves playing with his daddy!  Mommy-not as much-I am just not that good at it!  Must keep playing so I can improve my skills and keep up with my 4 year old.

Aiden continues to talk, and talk, and talk!  He is putting more and more words together and has longer and longer sentences when he talks.  It's amazing to just sit and listen to him.  Tonight at dinner Jeff and I just looked at each other as he just went on and on about this and that.  We just had to smile at just how cool it is.

They are both really into dancing right now, especially to VBS songs from our church's VBS this summer.  It's awesome to hear both of them singing about God and praising him.  I only hope and pray that they continue to grow and learn more about God and grow to love Him more and more in their hearts-that is my true prayer for them!

Summer 2013

This summer has been great!  Myrtle beach, trips to the park and zoo and hanging with family.  Kristi, Ruby, and Judah came into town and few weeks ago and it was great to see them! Here are some pics from this summer.

Myrtle Beach 2013

We took the kiddos to Myrtle Beach on July 13-20.  We took 2 days to drive which was super long, but we made it and had a great time as a family!!  The kiddos loved, loved, loved the beach and the pool.  It was hard to get them out of either.  Cale and Aiden were both so brave in the ocean.  They would both just run out there and jump into the shallow part of the ocean and many a times get knocked over by a wave coming in.  They would bounce back up and go for it again.  They also loved building sand castles, playing in the sand, and collecting sea shells.  One day Cale wanted to be buried in the sand and he thought that was cool.  Aiden was hilarious in that one day he was eating some chips and started dipping them in the sand as a dip and eating it.  He did this probably 3 or 4 times.  We spent most of our time at the beach or pool.   We bought life vests for the pool and that was one of the best purchases we ever made!  Cale would swim all by himself and Aiden would float by himself.  At first Cale was afraid of trying to swim by himself, but then after he figured out he was safe in the life vest, we couldn't get him out of the water! One day we made it to the outlet malls and to an amusement park by the ocean.  The kids loved riding the rides.  We rode a train, drove some cars, Aiden and Cale rode a little canoe and then went out to eat.  It was so fun watching the kids and just how different they were since the last time we had been there 2 years ago.  Of course Aiden was only 8 weeks old on our last trip.  But they were just both so brave-running into the ocean just enjoying and soaking up every moment.  They also slept in the same room which they thought was totally cool.  And of course that meant for some late nights of giggling and going to sleep after 10!  I love that we are able to take family vacations and spend time together.  As exhausting as it is for me and Jeff to travel with 2 small kiddos, I wouldn't miss it or change it.  So many great memories.  Looking forward to many more with our kids!
