Family photos

Jeff did a great job once again taking photos of our family at Twin Oaks Park.  He has such an eye and talent for photography and I love that he takes great photos of our family!

Be brave

So we started Cale and Aiden in Taekwondo class lately.  I can't tell you how proud I am of Cale and Aiden.  They both fought the first time.  Tonight was only the 2nd one.  Cale would only do it for about 5 minutes the first time and cried through almost all of it.  And Aiden did ok the 1st time and cried through some of the 2nd one.  Cale was super hesitent tonight and cried a little when he first went in, but ended up loving the class. His face just lit up and he totally got into the whole class!  It was so awesome to see.  He wants to go back tomorrow.  I know Aiden will get there.  He liked it last week and I am thinking by next week he will like it more.  Cale is a little more hesitant with everything, so it was just so cool to see him overcome his fear tonight and just go for something new.  And then to think when he started the class tonight he was so mad we were making him try it out.  And the joy and happiness after the class talking about everything he did.  It's just so neat to see the kiddos develop like that!  It's so neat to see them overcome fears.  His instructor says 4 things every time.  Be brave, be strong, be smart, and be polite.  I was so proud of Cale for being brave tonight.

Halloween

Fall this year has been rather warm, we're talking some days in the 70s.  That's until the weekend of Halloween hit and it turned cold.  The kiddos did pretty good, but we only stayed out for 30 minutes this year.  We got to go out with Kristi, Jason, Judah and Ruby which was super fun.  After the kiddos got home, we saw that a few condos were open and had candy so I let the kiddos trick or treat around the condo and then they wanted to go up and down the street right next to the condo.  So we stayed out for another 30 minutes and were about frozen, but the kiddos loved it!

10 years of Pumpkin Picking

So this year marked the 10 year anniversary of pumpkin picking with the Salvatierra's.  We don't get together often, but when we do it's like we pick up where we left off.  I love Beth and hanging with her.  We got to spend a lot of time together in college and although it's not often now, I still treasure the time we do get to spend together!  Here are some pics from the day.

Fall Happenings

I find as the kids get older, I post on here less and less!  We are just busy, which is a good thing I guess.  I still like to look back and capture the moments though so here we go.  School seemed to start a little early this year.  We got in one final trip at the lakehouse and Mal was in town so that was fun.  Cale caught a pretty big fish this time around and he thought that was cool!  Jeff and I got a date night away to Kansas City to see one of my favorite artists, Lacrae with Andy Mineo.  Such a refreshing, amazing show.  He's a Christian rapper/hip hop artist and is so talented, yet spoke truth about God and his grace for us.  Really a great concert!  We got to go to the Balloon Glow with Kristi, Jason, Judah and Ruby and that was a lot of fun.  And we got to facetime with Mal and she told the boys bedtime stories and they absolutely loved it!
