The craziness that is the Stork Lady Sale

2 times a year they have what's called the Stork Lady Sale here in Crestwood. It's a huge kids consignment sale with toys, clothes, strollers, books, dvds, you name it they have it. They let pregnant women get in the night before the sale opens to the public to shop and also if you are a 1st time mom with your kid under 1. So I have been fortunate enough to be able to go early 2 times. It's a blast. So my mom and I headed out to wait in line Thursday night to get in early. We were there for 2 hours and man did we get some awesome stuff. I got Cale clothes for the winter, a winter coat (for $5-it's brand new), Halloween costume (he will be Tigger), shoes, books, dvds, and toys for now and for Christmas. Mom got some clothes for her house, a little tractor for Cale to ride, toys, books, and dvds. Everything was a great price and man did we have some fun shopping. We were exhausted afterwards. It was packed! If you are a first time mom or pregnant I highly recommend this sale! Here are some pictures of moms trunk after we got done shopping.

We couldn't wait to get the toys out

Balloon Race

Energizer always has the Bunny balloon at the Forest Park Balloon Race so we went down with my parents to watch the balloons. Grandma and Grumpa had a great time with Cale and he really enjoyed watching the balloons. He was fascinated when they started to blow up the bunny and used the fire to help. Here are some pictures. We got to watch many of the balloons take off. Then it started to rain so the bunny and some others were grounded and didn't get to take off. Even so we had a great time!

This little Energizer bunny just keeps going and going and going

We had to get a picture with the Energizer bunny!

Labor Day Weekend

We got a chance to go to Carlyle to my parents cabin out there for labor day weekend. We wanted to get one more weekend in riding the jet skis before summer officially ended! It was windy out on the lake and Jeff and I had a blast riding. Boy were we sore in the legs the day after riding though! Those things are a work out. Here's some pictures from the weekend.

Hello

Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been since I last blogged. Hello everyone (all 10 of you or so that read our blog :) ). Hope everyone is doing well. We have just been busy chasing our little one around the house as he is getting more and more mobile and into drawers, the dogs water bowl, and all sorts of other fun stuff. Not a whole lot new going on here. Cale did learn on Wednesday that he could pick up smaller pieces of food with his thumb and finger! He has been able to pick up bigger pieces, but has not been able to figure out how to pick up the smaller pieces. Boy does he have it down now! Way to go little man. Jeff has been busy working on the Day 3 Productions website for his new company that's starting. We are very excited. We'll let you know when it's up and running. God has really been working in my husbands life a lot lately and we are both excited to see where he takes this company and what opportunities lie ahead! Way to go Jeff, I am so proud of you and love you so much.

9 months

Can you believe it-Cale turned 9 months yesterday. He had his 9 month checkup and is doing great! Little man-this post is for you:

Cale,
Do you know how much joy you continue to bring me and your daddy. I truly am amazed by God's gift of you to us and praise him and thank him for allowing us to be your earthly parents. It is an honor and a joy to have you as our son!

I love your smiles, your giggles, the way you scoot backwards, how you haven't quite figured out crawling yet, but still try, the way you can sit up now, how curious you are about the world around you, the way you chew your food, how you love to push buttons on toys, hearing your little talks on the monitor when you wake up in the morning, splash time in the bath, going on runs and walks with you and seeing your little feet kick in the stroller, your two bottom teeth, your chunky thighs, how big your eyes get when you get excited, rocking you to sleep, singing to you, watching you play with your daddy, watching you grab the puppies paws, and coming home to your huge smile at the end of a work day. Little man, I just love everything about you and can't wait to see you as you continue to grow and to see how God uses you in this life and what He does through your life.

love your proud, blessed mommy

Bath time!

I know the little duck says HOT at the bottom-but honestly the water is not hot-it seems to come up as hot no matter how warm or lukewarm you get the water.
