感慨万端

Mixed feelings: for some feelings and lament; 万端: many are very diverse, others are emotionally lamented.

感慨:因有所感触而慨叹;万端:极多而纷繁。

感慨万端: 因深有感触而有许多慨叹。

[*Definition was from this site. Click Translate for the English version though their English sucks lah.]

Yups, that is what I'm feeling now. (It's for me to know, but no1 to find out ;p)

All I can say is that, the truth really hurts.

Oh, it hurts real bad, stinkingly painful and it stings hard too.

But this is not what I'm going thru now, its you.

I din mean to, but I hope you will overcome it someday. Sorry.

I don't want to become this way
但爱太多太难 day by day
是什么作祟为什么会流泪
原来是心痛不断责备
I don't want to become this way
我该懂得体谅和后退
该怎么选择三颗心都好累
两难的爱情怎样才对

The song is called 三人. Anyway I got the lyrics from this site. Click on 三人 and listen to the song. Its an old Chinese lovey-dovey song. Worth listening lah, especially if you like singing love duets at KBox or Party World. LOL!

Sick Again!

Seems like many people are falling sick these days, especially our region's youths. Spiritual warfare eh. -sighs- Some big virus is attacking us all. Stupid weather plays a part too, one minute so warm, the next so cold. I hate drastic temperature changes lah.

I'm no better man, I'm down with fever, headache and the worst of the lot, loss of voice, yet again! Feeling so terrible now, unable to speak a word again.

Been watching this HK drama 阿旺新传, for the past few days, and I absolutely enjoy every episode =D I love HK dramas!

My last batch of AO2 assignments are due next Monday, I really should start doing them soon, this week. LOL! Maybe I fall sick bcos God knows I always go out never do my work, so now I'm placed under His 'house arrest'. Hahaha!

Oh yes, I wanna go see Changi Airport Terminal 3 soon! Anyone wanna come along with me?

Nothing much to update, so I'm off to watch 阿旺 again!

Never Shop Without A Lady ^^v

Since I'm kinda having my holidays already, why not go out for a walk and snap some silly pics =)

Hung out with Simon and Samuel to nuah* (relax) and go shopping. Starbucks coffee was interesting, shopping was fun, dinner was nice, picture-taking was great; in fact it was the main highlight of the entire day lah.

Here you go :)

Simon and I started to get bored, while waiting for Samuel to change....

Discovered that 'acting dao'* (to appear snobbish/arrogant/proud) in pics, was indeed entertaining :D

Continued to act dao like those magazine ads' models ^^

We are looking so model-like already....

Yes, Simon was trying a new way to pose...

Finale! Well at least for now lah ^^v

Samuel writing this black shirt, from Esprit. Very nice on him! (I choose one!!)

A simple black shirt, with white stripes. Looks good eh. (Also I choose one ^^v)

Happy lil Samuel, with his load of nice clothes!

Samuel missed all the model pics bcos he took so long just to try on the clothes. No worries, next time we take together again with Simon ok =D

The clothes looked good on him, so we decided to snap all the clothes' pics and shown his mum. Well, guess what, she said we had good taste ;p

-^5 to Simon-

Maybe I should be a fashion consultant instead of studying aerospace eh... Heehee!

Conclusion: When guys go shopping for clothes, bring at least 1 lady along. You will get a balanced opinion on clothes to get, if you wanna look good in front of us ladies ;p Just like Samuel! See, no regrets at all. Hahaha!!

Mid-Nov Random Updates

  1. I wanna watch Stardust again! I think this movie is one of the best romantic Hollywood movies I've watched this year. I quite love it, although I'm no romantic kid :)

  2. I forgot I still have my AO2 assignments to complete, b4 going for youth camp in December. Craps, I sure thought it was the holidays already man, so sad lah. -I must remember to do them within these 2 weeks.-

  3. I got loads of hi-res pics and a few super big videos to upload! -much thanks to Simon's digital camera once again-

p.s: Simon, you might wanna consider giving me a digital camera for my birthday pressie, so I dun always have to borrow your camera ;p Good idea right? ^^

  4. I want a new pair of denim jeans, best is in dark denim blue shade. Get from Zara or Levi's will be good ;p (due to the availability of very long length (~32-34") jeans!) Wheeeeet~~

  5. Janice's birthday dinner was fun! -forgot to take pics though- Korean food taste different when you made it yourself. So much preparation and ingredients needed in a simple dish like Bi Bim Bap.

Happy Birthday to you, Janice! No worries girl, your age will not be disclosed here. We all know lah, ladies' age very sensitive one ;p God bless you, Miss Tan! -hugs-

  6. Lunch appointment with Pat and Cynthia next Thursday! My nice ex-colleagues and mentors when I first stepped into Infineon Technologies AP in 2006. They can be quite strict, mean and lazy at times, but they are nice ladies after all.

They took turns to give birth when I was working there for a short span of 9 months. They both have adorable kids! Pat is married to a Korean dude, he speaks good English and is quite a gentleman too. An-neong-ha-say-yo* (Hello/Greetings in Korean)

I mastered the Senior Engineer's job scope in a month (under great levels of stress) yet I was still paid an Engineering Assistant's pay, even after much complaints to the then-boss. Sighs. Life is unfair eh.

Anyways, we are planning to go for Korean food yet again! Yummy kimchi, I so love spicy and sour lettuce lah! Muji-muji* (very in Korean) hungry already!

  7. I can't wait to celebrate my 21st birthday, especially with my buddies (pls continue to suggest great places to hang out) and the VFC peeps. You guys rock my world man!

  8. I can't sleep bcos I got my advanced theory test later in the afternoon. but I've done my reading finished, so I'm all prepared ^^v

Quoting Lynette, who is a great encourager, asked me this, "is anything too hard for the Lord?"... Surely not man! That question sure did boost my confidence level from 0 to 100 lah! I know I'll pass liao lah!

  9. I'm feeling kinda relunctant, or rather lazy to work part-time for now. Can I like, start only in Jan'08? Yet.... its the money $$ that leads me back to say, I think working is the only way out =\

Happy Birthday to Alvin!

Happy 21st Birthday to Alvin! YAY~ finally our Mr Policeman is officially an adult! The 2nd and last guy in our secondary school clique turn 21. Aka Potato Head, 番薯头, Tan Tock Seng (bcos of his full name initials) and our favourite, Vin! :)

VIN :)

Known him since Secondary 3, he was a prefect aka school counseller, a school librarian, a good boy in class, a good son at home, a quiet lil boy if you dunno him well. He was sitting diagonally in front of me in Sec 3, always kana bullied by me and Adelene ;p

In Secondary 4, we sat together in class. Oh my, how much enjoyment we brought to Cher Hao and Madeline, who were sitting behind us. They were the ones who have witnessed and laughed at all our use-pen-to-draw-on-each-other-arm-most competitions, lil bickering sessions in class, always me getting punished instead of Mr Prefect while caught talking, always taking his stationery and many more stupid nonsense lah.

Ah yes, not forgetting that super duper memorable incident at his old house when we were supposed to revise for our POA (Principles of Accounts) paper for the O's. Hahaha! We ended up playing cards and mahjong, when his mum came home surprisingly early and check on us in the room.

Oh my, we will always remember that instantaneous black face that came upon her face! So scary like Justice Bao, 包青天! She then asked Alvin to go outta the room for a lil talk, and proceeded on to scold him for bringing us in and not studying =\ He was quite scared and told us to go back first bcos his mum was super duper pissed at us.

You should have seen the way we scrambled around the room to pack our money (yes, we played money too), books and bags. She was sitting at the living room outside waiting for us to leave, we were so scared to even leave the room lah!

In the end we chiong-ed outta the room and said a hurried goodbye to her. The others wore their shoes like lightning and ran off first, when I was left alone at the doorstep struggling to wear my shoes in panic. Resulted to running off barefoot with shoes in hand lor. Everyone else laughed at me -.- what else will they do to me right....

Vin and me ;p

It was indeed tough keeping in touch after O Levels, however we managed to stay strong together with the others. Seen each other go thru good and bad times, in joy and in tears, all the happiness and frustration, all kinds of problems told over coffee etc. 6 fantastic years of great frendship with you, and more to come with the other buddies!

God bless you always, in all your future endeavours especially in your career and in your family too. Alvin is such a good and matured boy! Wahahaha~ Well hopefully a good girl will know how to appreciate him lor.

We sure had fun at his birthday chalet yesterday, too bad Ying Xi was unable to come. The food was nice but I din eat much, the birthday cake was a 4kg Chocolate Fudge cake and it is sinfully yummy!

Ended up staying in one of the rooms entertaining ourselves while Alvin was running away entertaining all his friends and relatives. He was super worn out when we unwrapped his birthday pressies. LOL!

Thankfully we girls were smart enough to get him a watch for his pressie, bcos he just spoilt his old watch 2 days back when we went party decor shopping together. Hahaha! His birthday pics will be up soon, promise!

Played cards and bit of mahjong till 5am before Alvin drove Cher Hao back to camp. Madeline and I decided to tag along since Cher Hao was nice enough to stay with us till dawn. Seriously we were taking quite a big risk driving along Singapore roads when we din have a single road directory in the van and we were all road idiots by nature =\

I was forced to stay awake and remember the correct route back. Well I guess the expressways looked quite the same and we made a wrong exit in the end. Still managed to get back in one piece, just that we wasted more time driving on the road. Hahaha!

Madeline had already KO by then and I was on the verge on entering lalaland too, but for the sake for our safety and for Alvin, I tahan-ed! 3 cheers for Alvin and me!!

Ok enough said, its time to resume my revision for tml's exam =X ciaos! Yea, pics next week!

VFC 30th Anniversary Banquet Dinner

Lotsa photos taken, hands shaken, hugs exchanged, phrases like,"how have you been?", "long time no see!", "hey! still remember me?" often heard in the banquet hall. LOL! Today was Region 5/6 night to enjoy and meet up with ol' church friends.

It sure was a noisy place to be in, but everyone was enjoying every moment reminiscing the ol' times, especially when the video presentation on how VFC (formerly known as Calvary Charismatic Centre - CCC) was formed and grew over 30 years, and still growing on and on....

The food, was quite edible, and I ate alot! Wheeee~~ :D I like the cheesecake best, not too sweet yet good to savour, din get that eat-abit-then-sian feeling either =)

Saw Raphael and couldn't resist not taking a pic with him. What a 大帅哥! Hahaha! He sure has grown alot for the past 10 years lah. Still remembered we first knew each other in lifegroup (aka net/cell group now), under Heather. Always called him Ruffia String, Red Ninja Turtle, Rapal and the classic AirPork - bcos he used to be so fat like a pig. Wahahahahaha!!!

Now he's in Singapore Polytechnic, doing rather well in his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering lah. Always hear that he's on Directors' Honours Roll one. Din know Airpork so good one; can fly already quite a miracle lah, now still can study so so well leh! Best lah, so proud of you!

Raphael and me :)

Ah yes! Sis was telling me that the new toilets at Level 2 was ready and I should take a look. Wah, really macham like those shopping centres' toilets lah. Looked so alike Cineleisure Orchard's toilets. I'm impressed.

Now we ladies have more than 20 toilets here, say byebye to long toilet queues now! YAY!

A glance at the new Level 2 toilets in VFC!

*p/s: Li Sha, do send me the pics we took with Tracy!

Deepavali: Festival of Lights

Nope, I'm not gonna give you guys a history lesson of the origins of Deepavali. Just read on lah.

Ok, basically this photo collage sums up my lunch for Deepavali, along with some of the youths together. It was a farewell lunch at Fish & Co, high tea at Starbucks, for Saula. He is actually going back to East Timor to continue his missions work for God. Well done dude!

The food was good, fish & chips is after all their signature main course lah. Changi Airport Terminal 2 Fish & Co outlet, however, has a really spoilt CD/music player. The song always stops every now and then. Now, how do you guys account for great dining experience and customer comfort huh??!!! Okok, I'm trying to be irritating and demanding here.

Their entire service crew are of Filipino hertiage, no discrimination here hor. We were all wondering what has exactly happened to the locals, our fellow Singaporeans?? You mean we Singaporeans are only fit enough to serve in the heartland outlets, and not at our prestigious airport outlet?

We also have a high level of patience and are service-oriented lor. We equally offer attentive and good customer service. We are needing more part-time jobs, for those youths out there smoking their lives away. We want our rice bowls back!! -bang table hard with fists-

Sorry for the lil digression. Hee! Oh yeah, the restaurant ambience is indeed relaxing and comfortable. They also provided us with a private dining room, just like our Waraku's experience.

Joan sure had lotsa fun taking photos once again, that's like her trademark hobby now. Everyone knows, she is ever ready - armed with a digital camera, snapping away at everything, from tables and chairs to people and food. That's how I got today's pics for the collage too, much thanks and credits to Joan!! Wheeeeee~~~ Check out the complete set of today's pics!

Headed to town form airport after that. Accompanied Janice for her massive shopping trip, literally shopped till Apple and I dropped, not she! Ended up dozing off in the bus, on the way home. Oh my, my feet were screaming for help in those pretty new (pun intended) Novo black grossy shoes lah.

AO2 exam revision is halfway done. Just need to practise thru again to familiarise my oh-so-forgetful lil brain, with those crazy conversions and calculations. 加油 to me!

FIGHTO!!!!!

Oh yes, Happy Deepavali/Diwali once again, to the Indian communities all around the world, not only to the Singaporeans. Not forgetting my readers too, that's of course if you are an Indian and you celebrate this Festival of Lights!

Happy Birthday to Cher Hao!

Happy 21st Birthday to you, Cher Hao! Aka James Teh, Charles, Jarles (mixture of James and Charles) and many more.

May God bless you in all your future endeavours, be it in your career, studies, with your family and in your walk with Him. Continue to stay close to the Lord, shine for Him and worship the Almighty with the voice He has blessed you with. Continue to lead the church in worship, with reverence unto Him :)

(top left to right) Ying Xi, me, Shi Yun, Madeline
(bottom left to right) Zhu Jia, Cher Hao, Alvin

The 1st dude outta the only 2 guys, in our buddies' clique, to turn 21! Hahaha! Alvin will turn 21 exactly 1 week later =) Time sure flew like the wind man.

We have known each other since Sec 1, when we were still in puberty stage, as teenagers. LOL! Look at you now, an adult already! It is certainly hard to believe that Cher Hao will ever grow up. Oh well, physically yes, mentally... I can't say much about that =X wahahaha!!

Spot Cher Hao in this picture!

All I can say is that we have great chemistry together and we click very well. We never seem to run out of topics to talk about, even though we have covered almost every lil topic you can possibly think about.

He can almost read me like a book. He taught me how to talk on the phone for hours, to be a lame and crappy person, how to have thick skin and so much more. He is so extroverted and outgoing, that even shy people open up to him faster than expected.

We have gone thru the ups and downs of growing up together for the past 8 years, seen and experienced simply-outta-this-world stuff and learnt alot from each other. We know each other's personality, temperament, good and bad habits, all the stupid jokes and patterns we can ever think of - all quite well enough too.

Of course, not forgetting our clique, we took loads of neoprints and acted like crazy kids together. So much memories we shared together, so much to say, friends are forever. What more, we are buddies for life!

A rather cute neoprint pic of 7 of us!
Back in 2003, a pic with Titus =)

Yesterday was his birthday chalet at Aloha Changi, it was a huge success. Without the big help from his cousin and church friends, including us, I think he confirm go kuku already lor. I took lotsa pictures, very interesting ones too ;p

There were touching and funny moments during the specially prepared presentations, done by Cher Hao and his cousin. A nice poem was specially written for him, a lil sing-and-dance item by 4 pretty girls, the cameo facial by the guys, the Red Indian attire etc.

Very heartwarming to know how much your family and friends care for you. I remembered he was almost close to tears when he gave his thank-you speech to all his guests last night. LOL!

Ah yes, we buddies had the overnight stay in that big chalet when everyone have left. Entertained ourselves by with movies, card games and mahjong!

Funniest part was how we 5 dived swiftly to squeeze and sleep on the queen-sized bed when our energy level was uber low. Not forgetting how I was pulled out of the bed rather un-mercifully by Cher Hao and Alvin. Hahahaha!

Oh, we discovered some interesting sleeping habits from each other too. We sure have bonded together much more after this chalet =) Enough said, I shall try to upload them all soon. Wait up ya =p Click here for the pics, I can't possibly upload all 6mb hi-res pics onto Blogger, it'll hang! LOL! Enjoy!

This Sunday will be Alvin's birthday chalet, the 2nd dude of this clique. LOL! Can't wait to see Mr. Policeman to turn 21! Heehee! Afterwhich, its my turn.... and that reminds me, my birthday wishlist =) comin' real soon, wait up!!

Get to Know Yourself Better

Your view on yourself:
You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

I agree :)

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

See Personality Love Style analysis below.... more accurate there. Well, I'm already quite open-minded about people I spend time with, just that I think that person is hiding far too long already lah!!

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

I hope so =\ easier said than done -.-

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

I agree :)

Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

Hahaha! I wanna learn alot more than just plain studying... Education really is important, of course life skills too lah. Knowledge doesn't equals to wisdom.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

I want more than just a regular 8-6 job! I want to earn a salary that increases every single month :D What else, start a business lor. But first, be a salaried worker to earn capital lah =X

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

I agree to a certain extent only. Singaporeans like tried-and-tested formulas, so do I. Of course if I got confidence to try sth new, why not?

What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

I dun try very hard to be accepted. If people dun accept me, so be it. I'm not that desperate for friends. I believe in not being just a blind follower, but a leader who has a mind of her own.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Hahahaha! This I agree most. Oh well, giving advice is easier than being advised eh. Being in a dilemma makes me real emo at times man. What a joke, Julia actually emo eh. That only happens on rare occasions lah!

Check this quiz out =) and more on the site....

What's your personality love style?

You desire a love that will last forever.

You are quite serious about finding this type of love, and that's why you think carefully about the men that you meet before deciding whether you could really love them.

You don't just develop a crush on someone overnight: you look at a person's personality and other aspects of their life before deciding to form an attachment.

If a guy doesn't meet your expectations, you would rather be alone.

Your love has to be perfect. ----> (not exactly perfect, but in a way lor. So long its close to my mindset of the ideal Mr Right lah.)

Be careful though, you could be missing out on some worthy relationships because your standards are so high. ----> (maybe? LOL! I still can wait... for now :] )

This analysis is quite true. Hahahaha! Let's wait for now ;p

What type of personality do you have?

Bright and Cheerful

You are always cheerful and charming. You never get too serious with people when they're around, but when you are alone, you think carefully about what they have said. That's because you don't want anyone to see you being too somber. Your personality means you have a lot of friends and you are often the center of attention. Many people who fall into this category become artists and movie stars, perhaps fame could be yours in the future as well.

LOL! Me a movie star or artist? No way! I dun need fame in my life, I rather live life simply and contented. But I do agree with the front portion on my personality lah. Never too serious but I'm doing lotsa serious observing and thinking at the back of my mind, especially in conversations.

Countdown to AO2 exam and submission of tutorials: 10 more days!!
