My love

A year ago today Husband and I began our official married life together. I can just sit for hours smiling and daydreaming about that trip and then also everything that has happened since then. I feel on top of the world!!

1 year of marriage.
A year a go...I was doing this:

I can't believe it. It feels like yesterday, but at the same time I feel like we are us and everything feels perfectly connected.

We are still being perfectly sappy and both loving every minute of that. I am not saying everyday is perfect, but it is perfect for us and that's what matters.

Begin Again

You ever get to the point where you stopped doing something and then you don't know really where to start again. I am there with this blog. Everyday I mean to type something: intelligent, witty, simple, loving. But then nothing gets posted it starts and finishes in my head. Trust me, there are a lot of good things swimming up there. The process of getting them down and out there in the world is a little harder. Why is that? Sometimes (read: ALL the time) I blame it on the lack of time, but I seem to try to fit in new activities. I guess I just place other stuff in front of this. Also, I am at a loss on where I want this blog to go. Just the ramblings of a part time mom/full time wife. Which although I am a part time mommy..that doesn't stop the full time stories that occur during my our time with the kids. Jeeezzz I love them.

So as I try to figure out my mind, which is a bit scatterbrained lately, bear with me in the blog world.

A lot of this:

is happening and I just want to live in these moments forever. Even as I am typing this I am getting teary. Good gravy I am sappy.

Girls Trip

It is getting time for Sister's wedding...(actually it's this weekend!!!)

So we went on a trip for her Bachelorette Party!

FREDERICKSBURG...SHOPPING...PERFECTION.

We shopped until we dropped...straight into the hot tub! So glad we rented a place that had one our else our toes would still be barking.

My favorite eavesdropping quote from the weekend:
From a random gentleman..."So what else is there to do in Fredericksburg besides shop?"

I almost died. You have to be a crazy person to ask that...or just a guy! They don't get it!!

Cute friends :)

COFFEEEEEEE

She's getting married!
This also marked off one of my 100 things! Girls Trip Complete! :)

In other news...I think I am in denial about my LITTLE sister getting married. I mean is that allowed? Isn't she supposed to stay the baby? Who let this happen???

And to think I am feeling like this about my sister. I am not looking forward to when the kids decide to do this...hold on can't breathe...Wait...I am not letting them grow up. I will lock them in the basement. (Don't tell anyone).

Oh my

AHHHHHHH!!! I'm sorry for my lack of posting. Good news/Bad news. You are about to get a million update posts. I am going to try to post chronologically so to not get confused. :)

Like has seemingly been picking up pace and I don't know what I am doing with my time.

We are officially past 1 year since DM and I got engaged. (Sunday was a year...yes we are sappy). It seems like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time. Everyday I feel incredibly blessed with the life I have. I am one lucky girl.

First update - Family TOGETHER

We were the luckiest in that the weekend before Halloween Pa, GT, and Gretchen come visit!

They got to see Wyatt's soccer game and carve pumpkins! (Husband and I learned last year...we are very unqualified to carve pumpkins..THANK GOODNESS for GT!!!)

We also made it to the park. It was WILD.

Pa surprised us with some dry ice to put in the pumpkins. The kids were amazed!

Next - Halloween

We had the cutest little Shark and Flamingo you could ever imagine.
We went to the Church Trunk n Treat. Taz made sure to get Candy from EVERY person! (I definitely think she has this thing figured out!) They got to eat some snacks of popcorn and hot dogs. I mean...what could be better???

Friday!

Friday is here!!! Why hello Friday, I have been waiting for you all week. Not always patiently but waiting nonetheless :) I'm super happy to see you!

Emmerson in speech. With a ponytail!! I teared up a little bit.

My men reading on the back porch. I love them.

I did Emmerson's hair in a bow! Not sure how long it stayed like that but I loved it all morning long!!

Momisms

As most of you know...I am new to this mommy world. And most of my close friends make fun of my new mommy comments. (AHEM-Maria...yeah I called you out!!!)
Well, I am slowly realizing I am a full blown mother (holy crap). Seriously someone stop me! HAHA. Here are a few of my realizations that confirms my crazy mom world.

You know your a mom when:

  • The only Band-Aids in the house are Toy Story...and...you wear them anyways.
  • You can pull all kinds of kid stuff from your purse before you are able to actually get to your wallet.
  • You have slobber all over your shirt and you don't care.
  • The house is a mess and you don't seem to notice...or care...
  • In the mornings, you look around the kids are fully dressed and ready, but you are still in your pjs...(ALL THE TIME!!!)
  • At a restaurant, you order your meal, but seem to only really eat one bite because the kids seem to be eating your meal instead of theirs.
  • The DVR is filled of their favorite shows.
  • You can't remember the last time you went potty undisturbed.
  • Which brings to mind, you say 'potty' instead of bathroom.
I am sure that there are more...those are just ones off the top of my head. I will keep you updated on more realizations of mommyhood. It's a wild wild ride! (But I love it!!!)
