Applegate's

We were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple December 2005. Since then we have had many adventures: studying at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand, visiting my family in the Dominican Republic, Kade was a Huntsman Scholar and traveled to Paris, Brussels, London, Washington D.C. and New york. We have a two year old little girl that keeps me busy. She is such a little diva princess. Both of us graduated from USU. Kade received a double Bachelor's in International Business and Economics. Amanda graduated in Sociology. Kade is now working towards an MBA at BYU.

A Calling

I am so excited to share the really good news that my younger brother has received his mission call. He will be serving in the San Antonio, Texas Spanish speaking mission. He will leave in October. I am very sad to see him go for two years, we will definitely miss him but I know the people in San Antonio will be blessed to have him there. I am so proud of him for keeping himself worthy and making the sacrifice to serve a mission. I know he his going to have an incredible time and be blessed.
When I was little I thought it was easy for men to serve a mission, they were asked to and so they should do it (isn't everything so much simpler when you are little). I saw a lot of my older cousins and neighbors leave on missions and thought everyone did it. I now realize the true sacrifice of time and how hard of a decision this can be which makes me appreciate those who go on a mission even more. My brother is going to be such an amazing missionary, the people he teaches are going to be so lucky. Marcus I really look up to you for your decision and good luck to you. Love you!

Oh my!

It sure has been awhile since I have been on here. We have gone awhile without the internet at home and now finally have it again. We are coming up on some big changes for our family. In just a few weeks we will be saying good bye to Logan and calling Pleasant Grove our new home. There are some of you that are cheering about this news and others hoping the day doesn't come. I am more with those of you not wanting it to come. I really love Logan, it has been my home for the past six and a half years. I have grown very attached to little Cache Valley. I have some incredible friends here that I can't imagine living away from. I love Utah State and living close to my school and being able to attend events there from time to time. But I do love new adventures and we will be closer to family so that makes the move a little easier.

Why are we moving you ask, well this part is exciting. After a lot of work and more to come Kade was accepted into the MBA program at BYU. I am very proud of him and I know by him getting his masters he can move up in his career and get a good job that he really enjoys. However, I am not very excited for the process. He is going to become a very busy man. Right now his job isn't very demanding and he gets off at 3:30 giving us a lot of play time, yes I am very spoiled and I don't feel ready to give this up yet. The program is only 20 months and then we are done with school for good so I think I can do this.
