28x28

28.
2 more years to BIG 3.
How crazy and scary time can be?
My initial plan was to throw a birthday party at home because I'm 28 on the 28 and its only for this LIFETIME.
As usual, procrastination is my forte so no action was taken.
But less is always more, simplicity is also another kind of blessings.
Had back to back celebrations with all my loved ones and ofc gang, could not ask for more.
x

My ET love. 10 yrs of friendship.
How can I not love u??
I'm really thankful towards these bunch of people esp An.
Despite we do have differences in work at times that led to unhappiness, but nevertheless the bond we shared is definitely something special. Having to spend most of your time with them, we are almost like a family. I dunno how many people out there will have this tradition like us to make everybody's birthday a special 1, for this, I am really thankful and grateful.
My lovely family & Rabb.
I really think my mum has really did the greatest job in holding onto "family" values and making every Sunday a FAMILY DAY.  Seriously until now that I had moved out and moved onto the next chapter(which also means I have my freedom) but I will always leave my Sunday for my family and its only for them!

Big hug and big love to everybody!!
Thank you for making me the most blissful (old) girl on earth!!

XOXO

#293 - Travels; BKK Final 3 Days.

Continuing where I have stopped while Rabb is preparing dinner.
oOps!

Day 3
Thanks to the 2 bloody taxi drivers whom "throw" us out of the cab, we do not have to walk out to the train station.

What's the weekend market without coconut ice-cream?
Aunt and I had 2 rounds because we simply cannot resist it and we also had to beat the crazy weather.
And (hee hee!) after making a purchase fer Rabb, the shop requested for a photo to be taken fer their facebook.

=))
After spending almost 1/2 a day under the crazy weather, all of us were baked. As we couldn't stand the heat any longer, we left for Siam again and had spent the rest of the day THERE!

Day 4
Its the final 1/2 day to chiong.
Why do I say so because Dad had made arrangements to meet up with the Thai relatives.
So as usual, I still din really manage to kio much.
Thinking that we have not been to Asiatique, the Thai relatives brought us there for dinner.
When we were having our MK dinner the day before, we were still thinking if will they bring us to MK again anot. True enough.. .. we had MK in Asiatique. But  ok larx...we all love MK!
Cant wait for the Singapore branch to open!
How can I not have my fave choc banana ice cream??
kekeke!
We did not stay long because we had already went there on Day 2, so I told Daddy to asked if can they bring us to another night market - Old Railway Market.
I came across this weekend market on 1 of the LB girl's IG and thot it was really interesting and I don't wanna give it a miss.
Its very big and lotsa locals. Apparently its not very known to tourists too and the prices of the stuffs .. I am surprised are relatively cheap. We can still find buys at 100 baht. But.. ..I'm already cash-limited so did not buy any.
=((
Is ok.....

Home sweet home day!!
I think it was rather stupid to waste a day just to come back but due to cheap tickets.. ...
Imagine we left the hotel at 10am, but we only touch down in Sg around 4plus.
Anyway, it is always nice to be home!

That's all fer my BKK trip.
Will be back for Kukup trip.. ..

Back to work tml!!!!

#292 - Travels; BKK Day 1 & 2

Ok...for the 1st time, I am living on luggage.
Earlier of the month, I went for a 5D4N BKK trip (again) with the family, then a weekend getaway to Kukup trip with Rabb & friends after I am back.
Time really flies and June is approaching.
So lets talk about Bangkok 1st.
This trip was full of rage and I have been dying to come home quick since Day 1.
The people's there esp the taxi-drivers are driving us crazy esp with their crazy touts!
*ROARR*
It is really damn terrible that I cannot help it but to yell and curse and swear at them. The thing I cannot understand is why cant these people work properly instead of touting? It is not as if we don't pay? But of cos there were also fun times and lotsa walking becos cannot take cab what.
Alrite besides the unhappiness, we still had the fair share of fun along with the crazy weather.
This trip we went temple to pray, donated coffins, went to the world famous craziest railway market and a night floating market. Something very touristy unlike from my usual shopping craze.
I did not snap much photos because I did not have my camera charger with me and most of the times I am angryy! Probably it wasn't a good date for me to go that time. Hahaha!
Upon checking into Baiyoke Boutique, we decided to source for the highly-raved and delicious wonton mee. Thankful that I had bought the pre-paid card at the airport, it was so much easier and convenient to access into the net directly to check.
I have been to BKK many times and in fact yearly but I had never tried their wonton mee before. To my surprise, I like it!! I am very particular about egg noodles, because I cannot stand the smell and taste of yellow egg noddles (if you know what I meant). I do not find such taste and smell in their noodles and its very Q.
But only problem is.. portion damn small.
I think Rabb can finish it within a mouth.
Their braised pork rice which was equally yummy.
How I know because they all says so. Haha! I am halal, remember?
After brunch.. all of us managed to squeeze into a cab and we set off to our 1st itinerary of the day - prayers and coffin donation.

It was my 1st time and this temple only "specialise" in coffin donations for those whom errmmmm... die of accident / homeless / no family. I think so. I didn't really felt good when I was in the temple so I just did a quick prayer and left after I made my donations.
Actually I always feels uncomfortable towards Thai temples, its a psychology problem in me due to watching too many Thai horror movie.
OK! Skip that!
Since its difficult to squeeze into a cab, we decided to take a train back, initial plan back to the hotel but we en route to Siam for H&M but ended up spending lotsa time over at Siam area.
1 other thing I like about Bangkok is their desserts. I think they really knows how to enjoy life more than us. They have lotsa nice sweets bakery and every of them looks delishh!
Wide choices of cuppies!
The varieties of instant noodles they have.
Back to hotel, got changed and chiong Platinum Mall.
Daddy wasn't interested in shopping, so I only got an hour and the "luffy" hat (ET named it) was the only thing I bought.
Pathetic enough?!
What's Platinum mall without Crepes and Noodle salad??
If my memory did not fail me, we went Yaowarat for seafood dinner. But because I was super duper angry with the bloody cab driver, it totally kill my mood, therefore I did not snap any picture of our dinner.

Day 2 was Tourist Day.
Chiong-ed Platinum Mall before heading out to our 1/2 day tour out of BKK.
1st destination - Maeklong Station or otherwise known as Railway Market.
I am sure you have seen this countless times on travel program.
Yupp! The train will run through this market. Thou we got caught in a jam for about 45 mins and please note it was a weekday afternoon, but we were lucky. We got there in train to witness the train passing thru the market. The cab driver told us to quickly alight and run into the market to find a good spot.
Fret not.. .. since it was already featured in lotsa countless travel programs, it has become very touristy. Before the train enters the market, it actually stops at the station for quite awhile and send signals by sounding the horn. This not only gives ample times for the stall owners to pack their stuffs and also allow tourists to find somewhere to stand. It is really very cramp in the market.
The train really passes by us right smack in the face but of cos in a slower speed.
Here's us in the famous crazy market!
While I was camwhoring in this waiting area in the train station, this PRC auntie came in and disturb asking if it was a washroom.
Hello!! You blind izzit? Does this anyhow looks like a washroom to you???
Next stop, AMPHAWA floating market.
Singha to ease the crazy hot weather!
Dining by the river.
Aunt took the below picture for us when she was on the bridge and my camera battery died after that.
=(
 Our cheap seafood dinner.
The seafood was really fresh.
When sky turns grey, we bought tickets for firefly boat tour..
It was another of my 1st time - seeing fireflies and they are really very beautiful.. ..
If only they can be capture in photos..

That's all fer now. oOps!
Zhou gong just called to date me out fer dating.. ..
1 more day to bid goodbye to the long weekends. Sianz!!
Rest well before the start of a new week~

#291 - Mum's Birthday

Sucha perfect weather to laze in bed, do nothing or maybe just sipping a cup of hot tea and daze all day!
Ha!
Thats my kind of life.
It was mummy's birthday yesterday and as she has been yearning to go to The Club @ MBS, so we thot by celebrating her birthday there would be a best choice. Before heading to The Club, we had dinner at Satay by the Bay. The crowd was crazy probably becos it's new. Food there are a lil pricey = atas hawker centre.
I did not snap anything of the chocz buffet becos they are relatively the same o' stuffs but with lesser choices. They used to have like 100 choices but now they have lessen it to 57 only.
But it looks even lesser than that. Rabb and I din ate much whereas I was surprised that my dad whom usually do not fancy such stuffs enjoyed himself as much as mummy and bro.
Anyway, here is mummy's pig pig 猪 bouquet and a complimentary birthday special with courtesy by The Club.

Happie Birthday mummy!

Alrite.. off to do some housework and wait fer Rabb to be home.
We will be having steamboating at home later.
Woots~

xoxo

#290

SUDDENLY.. .. 1st quarter of the year has passed.
Everyday is slipping away just like that.. .. life is mundane.
=((
Anyway, I have went to NHC and also got discharged already.
Fast ehh~

Apparently, they could not detect what causes the abnormal ECG; they just said I AM OK but they had yet coincidentally found out another problem. But never mind about it... life still goes as per normal, it is nothing life endangering.
It was really a scare period for the whole family and the other loved ones ard me but its all over.. ..
Sorry for letting you guys worried over me.
I said I am ok liaoz.. .. you see!

I am very into Korean food lately, so sometimes back probably end of March, Green, Andra and I went for Korean feasting at Nolboo Hangari Galbi @ OC. It was my 3rd visit there already. We wanted to try Sarang instead but they were closed for "transformation".

The above costs us $180.
LOL! We are sure 1 big-eater!!
The kimchi pancake aint that nice compared to what I had tried previously with the ofc gang.
This 1 tasted more like pizza especially with the melted cheese.
But overall, all was still good.

I named ourselves JAL becos of our names - Jun / Andra / Lingz(pet name which they call me).
Alrite..my macddies is here already.
Have a good week peeps~

xoxo

#289 - Health is Wealth

  1. Do you always have fainting spells?
  2. Do you faint often?
  3. Are you always breathless or feel short of breath?
  4. Do you feel chest tight?
  5. Can you walk for an hour without stopping and without feeling a tinge of breathlessness???

    C
an you make out what am I trying to say from the above?
Is ok if you dont because I couldnt also initially.
The above was asked by my health screening doctor in-charge for having abnormal ECG.
Yes... ABNORMAL ECG at the age of coming 28.
I may be healthy in all other aspects but somehow, I've got an (maybe) "unhealthy" heart which is akin to unhealthy also.
She gave me a referral letter but yet said "I think is OK!"
    Duhh!!
So is it ok or not?
I sleep well, eat well, so what is the reason?
Machine faulty? But I did it like 4 TIMES?!
Haish! I will be seeking a 2nd opinion before heading to the heart centre because she is not able to give me a precise analysis of my condition.
My family are very worried after learning about it because we do not have any heart-disease history in the family.
Nevertheless, I am staying positive because I know I am OK and I WILL BE!
Actually to be honest, I am not very bothered by it.
    oOps!!

It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.

p/s: Mac delivery is taking the longest time to deliver my breakfast deluxe!! I am soooo hungryy!
