What could be more fun than combining two of my favorite things: soccer and my girls?! Taylie and Kyla played together on the same team this fall! And I got to be the coach! For their age group, the coach gets to be out on the field with them and help them and cheer them on! All the girls on the team are so stinkin' cute! They chose the name "Lightning" for the team name. Taylie loves to run fast, so as soon as we would say "hit the rocket button!" she would take off as quick as she could to get to the ball. Kyla was by far the smallest on the team, (of course) and looked so cute in her uniform. Her shirt came to her knees and her shorts came to her ankles! It was so funny! And she would just skip around and dance and twirl on the field. I love those girls!

Fall is by far my favorite time of year! I love the leaves and cooler weather! We had to take advantage of both and get some pictures while enjoying it all!
My brother Brady took these pics for us. He pretty much did anything he could to get the kids to smile! Once again, he did a great job! Thanks bro!
It seems like every time we attempt to get family pictures taken, one of the kids decides they are not in the mood to smile at that moment! But this time, I'd say they all did a pretty good job!

It's been kind of a dream of mine to sing the national anthem at a Jazz game. So yesterday were the tryouts and my good friend Heidi and I decided to give it a shot! We were #28 to tryout and stayed through about 45. There was a lot of good singers! They will send us a letter to let us know if we made it (I think that is the #1 slowest ways to communicate these days!!) The news people were there and they got a little clip of us singing. Hopefully our Jazz jerseys gave us good luck! (We were the only ones wearing them!) I finally put away all the big pots, blender and food processor today! I have been making salsa like crazy since last Thursday! This year was my first at growing tomatoes in the garden, and have been so excited to make Kevin's favorite thing. He inhales the stuff! And Ellie, she can't quite scoop it up with a chip, so she eats it by the handful and then takes a bite of a chip. It's hilarious! Every once in a while she will pause and say "whew! that's spicy!" I think we have consumed about 5 jars of it so far. At this rate, it'll all be gone by the end of the month! On Wednesday, I asked the family what they all wanted for dinner... they all agreed... chips and salsa!
The week before salsa, peach and strawberry peach freezer jam. Needles to say, I have spent a lot of time in the kitchen lately and am excited to move on!

On my list of favorite things, one is "When Kev takes a day off work". Well, last Friday I got to drive Kev to work because we sold our van. (Yeah!) I got myself and the kids ready for the day before we left, with a sneaky little plan in mind. On the way, I mentioned that it was a perfect day for the zoo. And what do ya know, he was up for it!! He got things all worked out for the day and came with us! We ended up going to the Living Aquarium instead, but had a blast! By the time we were done there, we needed lunch. We couldn't take him back hungry, right?! We grabbed some chicken stars from Carl's Jr. and had a picnic in the shade. Then he needed to run an errand and needed a ride! Anyways, we ended up spending the entire day with him!! Maybe I should offer more often to give him a ride to work! Wink Wink!

As you can tell, I haven't posted anything for a long time. Let me explain. Our computer crashed a couple of weeks ago. As you know, I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to our computer. We had Kev's cousin Brad come and help us out. We asked about all the pictures we had saved. (Of course I had put off saving them all do a disk!) He told us we had better not get our hopes up, the pictures were most likely lost!!!! I was absolutely devastated!! We had all our pictures back to when Tay was a baby!! I literally cried myself to sleep that night! I couldn't stop thinking about each picture that was now lost!! We decided we would do what ever it took to get them back. I guess there is a company that will get as much memory as they can from your hard drive, but it costs a ton of money. Anyways, Kev came home from work the next day with a huge surprise!! A disk with 3700 pictures of my babes!! Brad had saved them all!! He is my hero right now!! So, I am sending a shout-out to anyone who has not saved every last picture to a disk. DO IT RIGHT NOW!!!! These are some of the pictures we thought we had lost...

After a field trip to the pet store, the girls preschool teacher gave them some fish to take home! All the kids came out with little McDonald's cups with 2 or 3 fish in each. Kyla came out and I didn't see her with a cup. I asked her if she got any fish. She said she did. I asked her where they were and she said, "Don't worry Mom, they are in my backpack!!" Sure enough, I looked at her backpack and it was dripping water out the bottom!! We opened it to find 2 little fish flopping around!! Luckily Kyla's little friend let us take some of her water to fill the cup again. Well, the story continues! We went to tell Miss Penny our funny story and she asked if all 3 fish were okay. 3!!?!! We only put 2 back in the cup! We ran back to the car to check Kyla's back pack and what do ya know, there was the 3rd little fishy holding on to dear life! It was hilarious! When I asked Kyla why she didn't just carry the cup, she said she needed her hands to carry her back pack! She loves her little fishy Sophie!

The doorbell rang on Thursday, and guess what I found on the porch?! My mother's day present from Kevin! Talk about being on top of it! I was so impressed! It had two of my favorite things inside: chocolate and fruit! The chocolate was gone in a matter of minutes! It also had these really cute sugar cookies. I just have to say, I feel pretty lucky to have such a great guy!

One of Ellie's favorite things to do while I'm not looking, is playing in the flour. If the pantry door is left open at all, she darts for her chance! I caught her 3 times when I had the camera handy. But mind you, these aren't the only incidences! I love the one where she actually climbs into the bucket! Gotta love her!

Okay, now you are all in big trouble! I am addicted now! This is so dang much fun! So now that I have figured it out, now I can really start posting pictures and tellin ya'll what we're up to! I still have tons of questions, but anyways, not a bad start eh'?!

Well, I am starting to somewhat figure this out, I think! I am going to need some tips from all you expert bloggers now! Thanks, everybody for all your willingness to help me out!!

Yeah!! I finally figured this blog thing out! Anyone who knows me, knows I am computer dumb. It has taken forever, it's a long story. But I have loved reading others blogs! I feel like during the winter especially, I don't get to see anyone! It's fun to see what everyone is up to and how all those cute kids are growin' like weeds! Anyways, I am so excited to get started too! Thanks for all the encouragement! We'll see how this goes! Wish me luck!
