Daddy/Daughter Dance

Brynn had so much fun helping decorate for the dance that afternoon. She wanted to go too, but that didn't happen.

Ashleigh was so excited for her date with her dad. She chose out her own dress and a tie for dad so they could match.

I just melt when I see the sweet relationship they have together.

Ahh...the sweet kiss.

Ashleigh had a hard time putting on dad's boutineer because she didn't want to poke him.

Ashleigh loves her wrist coursage. Now she can play with it as much as she wants.

Ashleigh danced with dad and ate yummy treats at the dance.

This is Ashleigh at her Valentines party at school with her special friend Natalie. They are also in Daisies together.

Happy Valentines Day!

The kids had so much fun searching for their little Valentines Day gift from Kevin and I. It's so fun to celebrate the holidays with the children. They also loved receiving cards in the mail from grandparents and cousins. The hit was the dollar they received from each grandparent.

We have made a tradition to try and eat everything red, pink, purple and white. Ashleigh had fun making the menu with me.

For breakfast we had pink pancakes with pink grapefruit juice and purple grapes.

For snack we had strawberry yogurt, pink grapefruit, and red pears.

For dinner we had lasagna, white french bread, red peppers, red jello jigglers and pink lemonade.
For dessert we had white angel food cake with pink sprinkles and raspberry chocolate chip ice cream.

We had so much fun ice skating on Valentines Day. We thought it might be crowded but it was perfect. The weather was awesome too. Brynn absolutely loved skating. She even went around by herself with the red walker.

Kamren loves ice skating. He was getting so hot in all his winter clothes. He was working really hard on those skates.

I walked around with Ashleigh while she skated with the little red helper. She really didn't want to stop either.

I'm so grateful for my family on Valentine's Day. They are wonderful.

Ashleigh has a daddy/daughter dance to go to this weekend. Ashleigh can't wait. I wanted to make this very special for her so I thought flowers would be a fun thing for her. I decided to save money and learn to make my own wrist corsage and boutineer. It was fun to learn it online and make them. I decided to use fake flowers so Ashleigh can play with it in her dress ups after the dance. She really loves that dad has a matching one too. It only cost me a dollar to make. I love a bargain and I love to try new things! It was very easy and fast to make too.

Winter Activities

A couple of months ago I was trying to get Brynn to eat some vanilla yogurt so I decided to put sprinkles on it. Well, she doesn't live that down and continues to ask for some sprinkles on her vanilla yogurt. She loves it.

My girlfriend was nice to show me how to make some bows. They were alot of fun to make and the girls love to wear them.

One of my girlfriends gave me this material to knit a scarf for Christmas. Knitting isn't very easy for me so I tried the circle hoop and made the scarf. It was just a different way of knitting but I was able to finish it so much quicker.

Kamren loves his basketball team. In the last two games he was able to score two baskets each time. He really loves sports.

Brynn loves going to Kamren's basketball games to cheer him on. Mostly she loves to run around the track.

I'm on the committee for the Daddy/Daughter dance at Kam and Ash's school so I took on filling the goody bags. I didn't realize how long it was going to take to fill 240 bags, but the kids loved helping.

All of the children loved playing with all the little trinkets more than putting them in but they did help a little bit. All the bags filled the whole living room. It was quite the party.

I took advantage of the warm weather and had some fun with the spray paint. I just wanted to change something with the house without having to spend any money. I decided to spray paint the three bathroom light fictures to match the rim of the mirrors.

Here's the final look. I prefer the black over the brass look.

What do we do in the Winter?

Brynn loves her babies. She takes care of them all day. One day I caught her reading on the floor to one of them. It was so cute.

She not only loves to read to them, but she feeds them, changes them and puts them to sleep. We all have to be quiet when she puts her babies to bed.

Ashleigh and Brynn love to dress alike. They both are wearing their Valentine heart shirts. They love how they shimmer.

Ashleigh and Brynn made a tent and they read together. They are such great playmates.

Brynn is so into cooking and has a blast with dad.

Daddy has a date with Brynn and makes yummy zucchini bread. We love making bread in the Winter.

What would life be like without wrestling with dad. All the kids request wrestle time every night in the Winter with dad. They love it and I enjoying watching them. It always seems like someone gets hurt but it doesn't stop them from wrestling again.

We made a "Love Wall" with hearts. Kamren gave a Family Home Evening Lesson on how families can be together forever so we decided for the activity we would cut out a ton of hearts and we could put one up on the wall when we show we love each other through service. Our goal is to make the hearts go all the way up the stairs. This was perfect for the Valentine holiday coming up. My friend gave me the Love Wall idea. It worked great.

We are so excited for Andrew to come. We've been getting everything ready. I was able to make him a blessing blanket. I learned how to do a pretty border on one of my friends sewing machines. I also made the letter A to go in Kamren's room. I made a little block with his name on it. Kevin was able to find the same baby book that I used for Kamren on ebay. I am getting his Book of Remembrance ready. I also scrapbook the kids first year of life so I found some clearance paper at Michaels for him. I also got him a journal since I write in it the first year of each of our children's lives. I also cross stitched a little foot with his name on it. These are the traditions I do with each child. It's fun to have some history of each child. I just love doing this stuff.
