We love Smoky Mountains!

Our trip came and is now gone. We had so much fun being together. We are grateful that we had this blessing of going. We love being in nature and being in a new place to explore. Here are some of the things we did.

Beautiful Smoky Mountains. It is so majestic.

We all loved having the hot tub to play in right outside our door.

This was our first hike to Laurel Falls where we saw our first bear. It was a nice and easy walk.

The kids loved the air hockey table.

Andrew didn't like the drive to Smoky Mountains but he did find entertainment in sucking his toes.

We went to Dollywood (an amusement park) and got in for free from the same sister we met on Sunday. It sure is a blessing to attend church when you are out of town.

Brynn loved riding in the car.

Andrew loved the carousel ride.

I really wanted to try the zipline for the first time with Kamren but Kamren didn't weigh enough so I had to do it alone. Kevin was so sweet to watch the kids while I did this. I would love to do it again. It was so fun!

Everyone had fun on all the rides.

The next day we went to Splash Country, a waterpark. We weren't planning on going because it was too expensive but the same lady from church got us in for free! What a deal.

The girls loved the water and being together.

Andrew had a blast hanging out by the water, not in the water.

Cades Cove was a beautiful drive where we were able to see a bear and other wildlife. The kids got to learn how to play with toys and games from the past.

We were able to see what the Colonists had to do to survive during this time. It was quite amazing how self reliant they were on their farm. Kevin and I thought it would be fun for a week to live on a farm.

There was one day that wasn't so nice for us but the other days were amazing. It was fun for the kids to say they were stepping in two states at once. The view here was amazing.

One of our favorite parts of the trip was hanging out at all the different pools near our chalet. It was fun down time and everyone was happy. Andrew loved throwing flip flops in the pool and we would throw them out and he would throw them back. It doesn't take much to make him happy.

We love Smoky Mountains! It's a perfect vacation spot for a family. There is so much to do.

We had fun taking a hike together. I thought it was going to be an easy one but it was one of the steepest hikes in the park so I stayed behind with the girls and had a blast with them and Kevin took the boys to the top. Kamren practically ran up the steep mountain! The girls loved looking at the flowers and bugs.

Kamren begged to go to the aquarium. He really loved everything there, especially touching the stingrays.

The kids really wanted to take the trolly around town before we left so we had a fun adventure doing this.

Here's the chalet we stayed at. WE were so sad to end our vacation, but we won't miss the steep driveway we had to go up. We thought our van wasn't going to make it.

I love having so much time with dad especially on his shoulders. I get to pull his hair and he doesn't even mind! It's fun to stroll down Gatlinburg.

On the way home from our trip we stopped by KFC in Kentucky and visited the restaurant where it all began by Colonel Sanders. Kevin and I haven't eaten there once since we've been married but we had to let the kids try his famous Kentucky Fried chicken. They thought it was great.

Father's Day Video 2010

Kevin and I put this video together. It's been a tradition for four years now to make this as a gift for our fathers. The kids really love to watch them. I can't believe how much they've grown up in a year. I'm so grateful I have a wonderful father and father in law and especially the father that Kevin is. He truly is amazing!
