New Years.... PARTY!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  So excited so dance the night away with my husband to close 2012... it's been an amazing year, yet very different than I had ever imagined...  I started school, sold our house, trying to build another one, moved in with my parents... among many other little changes.  Changes are a part of life and sometimes they are welcomed and sometimes they are a struggle.  But no matter what the change we know God NEVER changes... HE IS FAITHFUL and HE LOVES US more than we can imagine.

I'm thankful for every change, big or small, that occurred in 2012 and pray that the Lord be with us and bless us in 2013 as we continue to strive to know Him more, serve Him more and hope that we see many more people in Myrtle Beach come to know Him as well...

HAPPY NEW YEAR... WELCOME 2013!

TJ and I did get to attend an "adult" party with friends and it was a very fun date night.  The kids did stay up and watch the ball drop with mom and dad... I was so impressed they made it to midnight!

Christmas Break FUN!

It was fun to have the kids home from school and no morning rush to get out the door.  After Christmas Mom and Dad went to visit Brent, Leigh, Jackson, and Pressley so we had the house to ourselves.  The kids got a gift in the mail from Aunt Loretta and Uncle Bill and they were so excited.  After we opened their gifts we went to eat at Nacho Hippo which is AMAZING!  Karoline dressed up and accessorized!

The kids to make a beach and swim in the ocean (the pillows)...
Karoline LOVED having her own room (she stayed in my parents room) and spent her nights with her head in a book... She loves to read but it is hard with Anderson because he won't stay quiet :)
Mom and Dad got to see my Aunt Betty Jo and Uncle Steve while they
were gone so I wanted to include this picture!

We could not pass up going to Broadway before our season passes expired.  The kids loved riding the rides and we were SO PROUD of ANDERSON!  He was so brave and finally rode the swings with Karoline!!  That is a BIG deal... he is not much for adventure like Karoline is... He loved them!

We headed home and stopped to get a few New Years decorations and Karoline wanted to have this truck full of balloons to come home with us... So thankful for some fun times with my beautiful kids!

It was time for Francis to come visit for a few weeks... The first night he came he also brought pillow cases for the kids which they loved... they were in their bed when they woke up...  They were excited Francis was back...

...Francis likes to play with Lego's....
...toilet paper on the tree...

Francis even got Santa to send videos to the kids...
Made toothpaste messes...
Delivered new ornaments...
... and new plates and cups...
Ate a few kisses and made a mess...

He followed us to our hotel when Darren and Alexander came...

Francis had to go back to the North Pole...

A few of Karoline's letters to Santa about Francis...

Merry Christmas!

We enjoyed a quiet Christmas Day at home celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and enjoying the blessing of our family!  We have traveled on Christmas Day in years past so it was pretty nice to just chill and the kids could play with their gifts all day.  The kids woke up and saw what Santa brought them while the breakfast casseroles were cooking.

We opened all our gifts and I will say my favorite part was really surprising Karoline with the American Girl McKenna doll.  I knew Karoline wanted her SO bad and I also knew she was quite popular so when she was sold out in November, I was glad I had ordered her in September!  One day I hope my children understand what parents go through to try and provide them with a wonderful Christmas :)  I'm sure when they have kids of their own they will understand and know the fun that it is and joy it brings.  Anderson is always low key but he really loved all his gifts too.  There are 2 videos at the bottom showing their excitement...

We enjoyed the rest of the day and I never even got out of my pajamas.  I knew Barna was in heaven proud of me :)  We did get to talk to family and got to Skype with Sarah.  We are thankful for such a wonderful Christmas with family and we are so blessed.  Thankful for our Saviors birth!

Time to see if Santa came...

 Boxing gloves?

Santa even brought Buster a new food container...
 Anderson and his gifts...
 Karoline and her gifts...

Yes, that is our fake TV fire... it was lovely...

 Anderson's big gift...

I found (or it was suggested to me) the ugliest shoes ever and gave them to TJ... he loves them!

Oh what a mess it was...
Karoline played with McKenna ALL day...

The cones are not for you Prissy!

We had a great Christmas dinner with all our favorites.  In fact, Karoline asked if it was Thanksgiving Dinner again... pretty much but with a few changes.  Ham, not turkey, and TJ's AMAZING fudge pecan pie!  It was SO yummy!  The perfect way to end a wonderful Christmas Day!

Seeing what Santa brought...

It's McKenna!
