Another $150

So I love my dog and could never give him up BUT there are definitely days I wonder why Kars and I were dumb enough to by a dog. On Saturday we came home from grocery shopping and Koda, our dog, was acting really weird. We hadn't been gone that long and if was really windy so I thought that maybe he was just spooked by the wind. Then I notice that he's not moving his tail. This is really weird for him because he is hardly ever not wagging his tail. Sunday we got up and the top 5-6 inches of his tail was really swollen. The poor dog couldn't sit, stand, or lay down. I was starting to feel so bad for him, but all I could think about was oh great here comes another huge vet bill. He's almost 3 and we seriously take him to the vet like every other month cause he's done something stupid. Last visit the vet chewed me out because he was overweight. Monday morning Kars made an appointment to take him in. All day I was kinda starting to get nervous that something was really going to be wrong this time.
We got to the vet and they started looking at it and immediately took him back for xrays. The vet told us that sometimes dogs that are as big as he is will be jumping up on a couch, bed or something and they'll fall back and land with the tail out instead of it folding up underneath them. This can cause a fracture the the vertebrae or a sprain of the ligament. Luckily Koda's is just a sprain. They gave him a shot and $150 later we were out of there. To some this might seem like a lot but to be honest I was happy for only a 150 this time. We have to buy special food because he's got chronic gastritis and irritable bowel syndrome. As we talked to the vet yesterday asking for help because he costs so much he kinda laughed. He said that he usually recommends Labs because there "Low Maintenance" dogs. He said I guess he's just special! I've always worried that I would end up with a daughter that some would call "High Maintenance". Well I guess I got a dog instead! Here's a picture of his x-ray. You can kinda see the swelling to the base of his tail.

Laptop

Karson and I have been considering getting a laptop. Both of us have had it trying to schedule our only computer to try and get all of our homework done. Any thoughts, suggestions, good deals?
