End of Summer Update

In July we ran/jog/walked a 5k. Yes we're really that smart to do a 5k with no training. It was to raise money for Karson's little nephew Hayden who needs a liver transplant. Kars did awesome! I, on the other hand, totally sucked but we'll just blame it on pushing the stroller not the fact that I'm totally out of shape. It was fun though.

Korver had a fun time playing with his cousins after the race. Korv and Kaci were trying to find a way to move the stroller that we had blocking them in so they could escape to where the big kids were playing.

Later in July, we took Korver to his first movie, Cars 2. He loved it which we knew he would because he loves the first movie. Luckily there were only like 5 other people in the theater so he could sit and stand and move around and no body else was really around to bug. These are some pictures I took before the movie started.

In August we took a road trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cullimore in Arizona. Korver was so good! He watched lots of movies and read lots of stories. We stopped about every 3 hours to eat or just take a break and let him stretch his legs. I can't believe how well he did. This picture is from the Subway in Filmore. On the trip we got rid of the bottle except for at bedtime and also transitioned to eating more regular food than baby food. He loved Subway!

We stayed overnight in Mesquite both on the way to Arizona and on the way home. This is Korv eating breakfast in the hotel before we got back on the road.

In Arizona, we went to this DELICIOUS sandwich place called Firehouse Subs. IT WAS SO GOOD!! This cute lady that worked there gave Korver this little fire hat while we were waiting for Val and Becky to come. Korv loved the hat! One of my most favorite moments of the trip happened while we were eating here. Korver heard a phone ringing behind the counter. None of us even heard it but the next thing I know Korver puts his hand up to his ear and said HELLO! It was so funny!

The highlight of the trip was probably was going boating with Kohn's family. Korver seemed a little bit nervous at first but he ended up loving it! This was a picture taken when we first got on the boat. He couldn't figure out how to move his head with the jacket on.

The water was so warm almost like bath water. Korver loved the water. He was a little hesitant at first but before too long he was splashing around.

Korver loved to drive while we were waiting. Actually I think he enjoyed pushing the buttons more than he liked driving.

The rest of the pictures are just random pictures that I have taken over the last couple months. This is Korver watching the big kids play kickball at the Sprague Family reunion.

Korver cheering at the Davis Football game as the boys run in. He loves going to the football games. Well for about the first half.

This kid loves raspberries. On more than one occasion he has thrown a fit in Sam's Club because he can't hold the carton. I'm afraid the carton would be gone before we finish the shopping!

While on our trip to Arizona, Grandma taught him to drink from a straw. Now he thinks he has to have a taste every time he sees someone drinking from a straw. Karson was not too thrilled to share with King Backwash!

Korver likes the help Karson with his homework. The only way Karson can keep him from pushing the buttons on the laptop is to let him play with his phone. Korver already has the swiping thing down.

Korver loves to try and push both his bike and mower at the same time.

This kid loves books more than his toys.

I'm not really sure what he was doing but this picture cracks me up.

Korver put this little barn up to his face and said "I see you!"

Little Nike's! Love them!

He loves to dive in the pillows on our bed.

Karson started a new job last week at the Maverik in Farmington. Here he is in what he call his "Jungle Cruise" attire. So far so good!

Happy 4th of July

We had a really fun 4th of July. We started out by going to the Kaysville City breakfast. This is a tradition for my family because my Dad has always cooked at it for as long as I can remember. Because of work I haven't been able to go for the last 2 years so it was really fun to see everyone. After the Breakfast we went to the parade. Korv loved it. He especially loved this old police car from the Highway Patrol. It looked just like Sheriff from the Cars movie. After the parade, Korv and went home a took a nap while Kars was at work. After nap time, Korv and I headed up to my parents for a BBQ. Another fun little tradition we have is eating out on the drive way watching all the people try and find parking to go up to the Davis Fireworks. I love People Watching!! We ended the night watching fireworks from my parents house. We never had to shot any off ourselves because there were more than enough going off around the neightborhood. I love the 4th. It is right up there with Christmas as my favorite holidays.

Korv sittin in his stroller at the breakfast.

Kars and my dad at they're grill. This is Kars's first year cooking. My brother and Dad have done it together for the past few years. Kars was the replacement because of Bub being on his mission. Kars had a blast!

Clapping for the soldiers because everyone else was.

Waiting for the fireworks to start with Grandma.

Korver was so tired by the time the fireworks started he almost fell asleep on Pop's lap.

He Loves Cars!!!

So Cars is the new hit around our house. Korver loves it. I can't wait to take him to Cars 2. Unfortunately Kars and I haven't had a day off together with enough time to go to a movie. Maybe this week we'll be able to take Korver to Cars 2. I don't know what I'm going to do when Walmart takes all their Cars stuff down. Its the only thing that keeps Korver entertained while we are grocery shopping. It'll be good because I'm totally a sucker when he spots something and gets so excited.

Korver wearing his Mater t-shirt. Yes he's under my table. It was the only time he'd hold still for long enough for me to get a picture of him. He loves this shirt. If you ask him "Where's Mater?" he'll pull the shirt away from his belly so he can look at Mater. The best part is he does that with every shirt now even if its not his Mater shirt.

Korver glued to the movie. The other day, Korver was intently watching the movie much like these pictures. His favorite part of the movie,Tracker Tippin, came on. At the end of this part when Mater and Lightning are getting chased by the big tractor, Mater says "RUUUUNNNN! He's gonna git ya." Well Korver went nuts! He started running all over the family room just laughing his head off. I wish I could have gotten this on film. It was so funny!!!!

Korver's first Hot Wheels cars. He spotted all the Cars stuff in the toy section from clear down the aisle. Bad idea by me to go over there. I couldn't get him to leave after we started looking at all the stuff. These were the cheapest things. He's hardly put them down since we bought them.

Watching the Cars 2 advertisement.
