Playin Catch Up

So a month or more has past since I last updated the blog. I remember thinking when I have kids this will be much more fun to do because I'll actually have stuff to write about. What I didn't think about it the lack of time I would have to write about the things that are going on. Korver is getting bigger and smarter all the time. In a couple of weeks he's going to be a year old. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. This last week he went to his first Jazz game. He loved every minute of it. The 3rd quarter got a little boring so we had to read stories for a little bit, but by the 4th quarter he was ready to watch again. The Jazz actually played pretty decent so I guess we picked a good game to go to since decent games are few and far between later. Here are some pictures of the game.
This picture cracks me up! Just as I snapped the picture the crowd started to cheer and it scared Korver.

Wow! Good thing Korver is cute because this is a little scary of me!

Sorry Kars, I know you hate this picture but I love Korver's face!

The first part of February brought a new trial for our family. My grandpa was diagnosed with Melanoma on his ear. The prognosis was good, but they were going to have to remove the spot. Since it was his ear, and there wasn't a whole lot of space to work with, his ear had to be completely removed. They also removed some lymph nodes in his neck. As of right now, all tests have come back that they got it all. What a blessing! Now comes the healing. In June, he will be able to wear an artifical ear. At this point, I think he's going a little stir crazy in the house. Korv and I try to walk across the street frequently to visit. Korv loves playing with Grandpa!! So does Koda!

On a much lighter note, Korver took his first couple of steps a couple weeks ago. He's walked a couple of times when he's not thinking about it. As soon as he realizes what he's doing, he drops to the ground and takes off crawling. He's definately getting his own little personality and attitude. The other day, he was trying to play with our shoes, which he's not supposed to do, so I got mad at him and told him NO! He crawled over to the corner and turned his back to me and started screaming and crying. I wish I would have grabbed the camera because it was so funny! Afternoon naps have become a little difficult some days. But this is what happens at dinner when he doesn't get one...
