Our last few days

most of the group

Kaitlyn and Hunter swinging together.

Well, thanks to Mel we were able to enjoy one more day of summer(?). She was brave and had a bunch of us over and the kids hit the water. It was fun to visit and relax in the sun. Natalie brought up a good point, when winter hits what are we going to do then? We enjoyed our afternoon and now everyone will sleep so good tonight. Thanks Mel!

And Uncle James...

James Devin & Kami

Awww!

Kaitlyn in the dirt, where else!

Uncle James finally came home, well for a week anyway. This is the first time he has met Kami. She was born on the day he left. Thankfully, she was in a good mood this day. He leaves on Monday, it is too bad we aren't doing more with him while he is here. He also brought Devin home with him. She is such a nice girl and we are all wandering about wedding bells??? I guess time will tell. I think James enjoys playing bachelor. Anyway, while we were there the girls got to help grandpa in the garden. They had so much fun digging in the dirt. The rest of us had fun eating what they dug up. And tonight we cooked up one of the squashes and yum! Oh, and we also went to the dentist and Kaitlyn doesn't need her gray tooth pulled, yay! (from when she fell on the stairs after the splash park)

Dress Shopping

Well, I did it again. I took all three girls and headed to Pocatello by myself. Crazy huh? It wasn't too bad. Kami slept all the way down and most of the way back. We enjoyed a lunch in the park and a quick trip to the Doctor's office, and then we went shopping. There is this great little store I found about three years ago. I love this store they have the cutest dresses. I also found the secret, go the week before the fair and they are 40% off! So, both the girls have new Birthday dresses and they enjoyed trying on a few. The only problem is that we always find about three that we really like and have to narrow it down. I was amazed at how much things have changed there. I was really missing it at first, but after driving around for awhile I realized things are so different. I can't believe all the new stores. I guess all the change means I need to get over it! I still miss the doctors though, we had the best! I wish I would have taken my camera and taken pics of all the dresses. Oh well, now you will have to wait! Now it is back to school tomorrow.

Rigby Lake

Yesterday we went to Rigby Lake with: Chris, Chantelle, Missy, Marianne, Vic, Kathy, Devin, Julie, and Sydney. We had so much fun! We BBQ with the leftovers from the wedding. Devin Julie and Sydney had to get back to Utah and didn't stay very long, but it was good to see them. We had so much fun swimming and even took the canoe. I think Kaitlyn had the most fun. I kept saying that this is better than Disneyland for her. A whole beach full of mud that she is allowed to play in! nothing beats that for her. The girls also had so much fun burying Uncle Chris (Ashley's idea) and turning him into a mermaid (also Ashley's idea). Kami enjoyed watching and putting her feet in the sand. We definitely need to go more often. FYI Kaitlyn was asleep before we hit the highway!

Wedding number 2

Two down and one to go. Mahon and Cindy got married yesterday. It was a beautiful ceremony at the Rexburg temple. We then took pictures out front and they turned out so good. I couldn't believe how well all those kids did, especially Kami. She was good the whole time. We then had an awesome BBQ at the Garden, yum. Everyone enjoyed visiting and relaxing for awhile. The reception was held that evening at the Gardens. It was so much fun. The food was great and nothing was chaotic or stressful. The bride and groom looked so happy. They are so cute together and are going to enjoy life so much. The girls were so pretty in their dresses. Cindy and her mom even made them jewelry. We had such a good day. We got to see Sydney, Devin and Julie (with a growing belly), and Chantelle even flew in for the special occasion. Cindy looked so beautiful and Mahon looked so happy. We are very excited for them and look forward to the next wedding in four weeks! I am so glad to finally be getting some more sis-in-laws, especially living so close! Now we need to work on those nieces and nephews! :) Congratulations Mahon and Cindy!

First Day of School

She's off to school!

Cynthia and Ashley with their grasshoppers.

Everyone but the babies.

Well, we did it. We sent her off to school. She is officially in kindergarten and no longer a little girl. Although, Kyle says she hasn't been a little girl for quite some time. She was so excited she couldn't go to sleep last night. She looked so cute sitting in her little desk and believe it or not I was just fine, it's Kailtyn who misses her the most. I still can't believe summer is gone already. These other pics are of last night. It was another what was I thinking moments! We watched Jen and Brody's kids while they went out to eat and wow! seven kids plus the neighbor kids, there were ten! With that many you have to count heads to make sure everyone is accounted for. We did have fun and it was a nice way to end the summer. Ashley and Cynthia had fun catching grasshoppers (which are still out on the deck), everyone else rode bikes and colored on the sidewalk. I am glad that Jen didn't bathe them before she brought them, I sent them home pretty dirty! Well, it was a busy summer and fall isn't looking to slow down either. I still can't believe my baby is in school! I can still remember bringing her home from the hospital, now she is almost grown up! Time flies.

Immunizations

She's out

We even wore Kaitlyn out!

Showing off her new stuff.

Well today was Kami's doctor appointment. She received three shots and one oral immunization. I felt so bad. She was so happy before we poked her. Her measurements are 25 1/3 inches and 13.15 lbs. I am shocked. She has grown over 5 inches since she was born. Everything looks good and we surprised another doctor with our early teething. After the appointment I braved it with all three girls and went school shopping. Thankfully, my babies usually sleep for two days after shots. We did good and got everything we needed and are done!!! I was pretty proud. I bought two new pairs of Sketchers tennis shoes at Shoe Carnival for the price of one at Kohls. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Kohls. As a matter of fact, Ashley shirt she is wearing was off the clearance rack at Kohls. We also found a couple of more shirts and she found a princess lunch box. The next step is to head to Pocatello for a Birthday dress.

4 months old

First bite of cereal

Two bottom teeth

Kami is four months old today. Her two teeth have finally broke through. You would think she would be sleeping better, nope. She still likes to wake up a couple of times a night. We started giving her cereal this past week and she loves it. She is getting so big I can't believe it. She is wearing 6-9 month clothes. She is rolling over and loves to sit up. She talks to us and blows raspberries at us. She still hates the car, but loves her sisters. She is a complete mama's girl. She is such a sweet little spirit. We have shots next Monday and I am very curious to see her measurements.

Good Eatin

We have had a couple of fun days. Sunday night Jen and Brody came over with homemade raspberry ice cream, made from fresh raspberries. Then last night the Sharp's came over and we had dutch oven chicken (so yummy), and cobbler. This is the cobbler Kyle made. They had this on the high adventure, it is blueberry and white cake. It was very tasty. We always seem to loose track of time when we are visiting and the kids were up very late both nights. Now we are headed to Idaho Falls for some shopping. What day is it? I feel like my week is gone already!

Summer Olympics

Kaitlyn getting her medal.

Ashley getting her medal.

Uncle Mahon playing in the foam pit.

I love our gym. Twice a year they do the "olympics". This is where the kids get to showcase their skills. Personally I think it is funner to watch the practice, but they love getting their medals. They also love having everyone come and watch. Ky couldn't make it this time, he did not get home in time. We did have grandma and grandpa Baldwin there and Uncle Chris , Uncle Mahon, and Aunt Marianne. Kaitlyn was a little afraid at first, but then warmed up. This is the first time the girls have gone at separate times. They moved Ashley up to the big class this summer. The overall performance was longer, but we were able to watch both girls the whole time. We also shared the day with Uncle Chris. He turned 30! So, we had cake and ice cream and hung out that evening. After that Ashley and I hit Marianne's ballet performance. We had fun and Kyle enjoyed some alone time with Kami and Kaitlyn! We had a busy day. But the best thing was that Kyle returned home safe and smelly!

Attacked by clippers!

I mentioned earlier that I gave the dog a hair cut while Kyle was gone. Well, I left out what a great job I did. I had no idea that Kyle puts an attachment on. I just took the razor to her straight. Oh well, it will grow back!

When Kyle is gone the girls know that we have a slumber party. Since Kami is in our bed half the night I thought that might be dangerous. So, I blew up the mattress and set it up in our room and they "camped out" just like daddy. This was saturday morning when I was trying to put it away. These mattresses are great for launching onto.

The princess quiz

You Are Jasmine!

Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate.

Which Disney Princess Are You?
So, I took the princess quiz and Kyle says this fits me to a T.

The manly things

This morning during bath time I discovered a little visitor. We live out in the country and mice are to be expected, but so far our cats have done a pretty good job. As I was screaming and scooping him in the bucket (domino was no help), I realized that I have done a number of "manly" things since Kyle has been gone. So here is my list. I have: disposed of a little critter, changed the projector bulb, fixed the garbage can at the barn, successfully removed a bee out of the house, started the sprinklers at the pump (Kyle left me great directions), and shaved the dog. But by far the worst thing I did was to use the 22 and put the kitten out of his misery. We had a little mishap with the 4 wheeler and Jetson is no more. That was especially traumatic for us all. Do keep in mind that it is only Thursday and Kyle doesn't come home until Saturday. I know he is having fun on the high adventure. This calling is a free pass to play!

Our lazy days of summer

Marianne came and stayed with us for a couple of days and the girls had a ball. Since the pool is down for repairs we had to improvise. We put the sprinkler under the tramp, which makes it very slick. The girls had so much fun jumping and sliding. Then we put the hose on the slide and stuck the pool at the bottom. They had even more fun with this! Kaitlyn is absolutely fearless. She went down like a hundred times. They had so much fun, that we did it again today. But this time Jon and Afton came over and the girls had even more fun. Oh, and Kaitlyn was so tired that she fell asleep on the floor last night!
Check one more thing off Ashley's list!

As a side note: Kami is starting to pull her knees up under her. She is already on the move- we are in trouble!

Zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday. We had so much fun. I did not call ahead though and it turns out that they close at 5. So, we didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked. But we enjoyed seeing all the animals and spending time with Kyle before he leaves for camp. Ashley has a list of things she would like to do before school. We don't have too much time left. Now on to the next one!

Splash park

This is as wet as Kaitlyn got

Ashley had a ball.

Kami's idea of a Friday afternoon.

Wow, the week really snuck away from us. I got a call from my mom saying she had an extra ticket to the continuing education week at BYUI. So, Friday morning we packed up with Kyle and went. I attended some very interesting classes and the girls hung out with Aunt Marianne. The only problem I found was that most of the classes I wanted to attend occurred at the same time. So, between classes on Friday we hit the splash park. Kaitlyn (my usually fearless one) took some coaxing into the water. She of course finally went in about ten minutes before we had to leave. Ashley made two new friends and had a ball. Kami slept the afternoon away. Unfortunately, in all the excitement we forgot about the community BBQ and movie. We sadly missed out on that. Oh well, there is always next year. But we enjoyed our day of relaxation and play.
