First Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of school. I was so excited! The girls were too. Kaite couldn't sleep the night before. Everyone got off good and the day was great. I love my girls and I miss them but the house is so much quieter! Kami did good, she only asked a couple of times when they would be home. Lyvi seemed more content with less noise. The girls have great teachers and they loved school. I am so happy to be back into our routine again!

3 Months

Alyvia is 3 months old today. She is so cute. She smiles and talks like crazy. She has started squealing and is almost laughing, she giggles. She sleeps 9-10 hours at night WITHOUT waking up! I am so grateful for that. She is a very crappy napper though. She only likes to nap if I am holding her, cause I have time to do that all day. When she does wake up she just talks and talks. She is getting excited for food. She stares at it and is even starting to reach for it. She grabs her toys fairly well and promptly puts them in her mouth (if she can get them there without dropping them). She still hasn't broken those two bottom teeth through, I can see them though. She loves to be talked to and has recently decided it is funny to pee on me when I change her. Lyvi has the biggest cankles and fat rolls! I still can't believe how chunky she is, she was so small when she was born. She is now weighing in at 12lbs. 2oz. She really is a sweet girl and loves her sisters so much, we are lucky to have her.

Funny story: I caught Kami giving her a spoon of either spaghetti sauce or apple sauce the other day, she seemed to love whatever it was. I had to laugh cause Kami was just trying to take care of her and be a good big sister.

Summer Olympics

The girls had their summer Olympics a couple of weeks ago. This was Kami's first one and she did good, Kaite was quite nervous though. This will probably be Kaite's last one since she will be moving up to the team asap, then she will just have meets. They had fun and Kami has been wearing her medal constantly, she is so proud of it.
Kami on the beam. Lately she has been terrified, but she did good this day.
Seat drop
spin the cat
Kaite tries really hard to keep her toes pointed
I thought her flat-back looked awesome, check out how straight she is with pointed toes and everything. This is her dismount she has been working on for months "the switch-up" she was doing great with it until she fell off the beam a couple of weeks ago. She scraped herself up pretty good and now she is less daring, but I love her tongue (so concentrated)!
Ky's parents, Chris and Chelsea made it up.
Way to go girls we are so proud!!
Here is a pic with all of us at Chris and Chantelle's afterward. We celebrated a belated birthday for Chris with cake for lunch. Chantelle was at scout camp unfortunately.
The rest of the day was spent with cousins, more on that later.

MIA

I haven't kept up on the blog much, but today I made over 75 jars of jam. Last week we had a family reunion and gave everyone the stomach flu, it is kind of funny but not really, yet! This week we get to hang out with James and George before school starts.
I am working on three different posts any bets on when they will actually get posted!

Alyvia's Blessing

We blessed our sweet Lyvi on July 29th. Ky said she was awake for the whole blessing and didn't even cry, she just looked around.
Here is her dress I found for her. I bought it back in the winter and got a great deal on it!
She likes to just stare at the camera so I have a hard time getting her smiling. We got creative and with the girls' help we got one!
I had decided ahead of time to use the headband from Kami's dress instead of the cute bonnet that came with Lyvi's because of the heat. Well, every time I do put the bonnet on this happens, good thing we went with the headband!
She really is so sweet and getting so big. She came in at 22 inches last week. I like that she is filling out nicely! When she was born I was worried the dress would be too big, the week before the blessing I was worried her neck would be too chunky!
It is amazing how well and quick she fit into our family. We all love her so much! She had quite the special day and looked the part. :)

July Wrap Up

I am not quite sure where July has gone, I am pretty sure I was here for all of it though! This is what we did.
We hit the splash park. The girls had fun and Lyvi chilled on the blanket with me.
Kaite has been playing soccer. She loves it.
Lyvi sucked her thumb during the game, she loves her thumb.
Ky finished finals. We are enjoying his time off until next semester. We have a long list of stuff to get done before he starts back up. Ky did great this semester inspite of all the craziness at home. He did have an awful professor that thanks to his wacky grading scale Ky got a B+ instead of an A- in his class which threw off his GPA and shorted him the full scholarship, now he just gets a partial....oh well.
Here is one of his projects he worked on.
We hit the zoo to celebrate.
KangarooThis guy was right up next to the glass.
Parrot
The new tiger, we got an interesting pic of him I will not post.
Lyvi chilled in her stroller.
I have never seen a duck with a blue bill.
The cats.
The lioness sure looked like she wanted us for lunch.
Tradition.
We have been sleeping in. I woke up to this sight last week.
We have been working on the yard. Kami helped a ton.We got the flower garden wall up, but there is still some dirt to move.
We did some school clothes shopping (and visited the orthodontist). Mar joined us, yes she is blonde again. We hit the new Justice store, one of our new faves. I can't believe that school starts at the end of the month.
I got the new pics up on the wall. The girls look so cute!
This past weekend we had visitors. We blessed Alyvia (more pics of her later). Devin, Julie, their kids, and Mahon stayed with us. Kami and Anna really had a good time together.
We played in the pool.
It took Anna awhile to get the courage to go, but she loved it.
When did Ash start tanning?
We found the girls like this one night after they FINALLY fell asleep. They stayed up both nights visiting, the second night they were so tired but still managed to stay up and talk.
Family pic
Thanks to all who came and joined us on this special day.

Here are some other random photos from this month.

The last couple of days the girls have played in the pool some more and on the slip'n slide. Ash spent a solid 2 days with Kenadee. We went to the library and checked out 21 books at once. I kept waiting for it to say we had reached our limit but nope. And we have been watching the Olympics. I was so happy to watch the "fab 5" take the gold!! Ky knew the results ahead of time and kept teasing me. I just hope August doesn't fly by as fast as July. Although, we do have family coming next week and after they leave George is flying home for a week!! The girls are so excited to spend some time with all their cousins and uncles.
We had one scary experience last week. I went in for what I thought was a fairly routine doc visit and during the ultrasound the PA and NP thought they saw something. I got that look, the look they give you when something is wrong and they don't want to tell you. They said they wanted me to come back the next morning and see the doc. They bumped a bunch of his patients to squeeze me in first thing, and I overheard them say to keep his afternoon open in case he wanted to do surgery. They did tell me that he might want to do a D&C because my uterine lining is really thick. I went home freaked out. My lining is 2cm which is very thick and can lead to uterine cancer. All I could think of is what surgery would they want and need to do that afternoon and why (emergency surgery), I knew the answer. Ky gave me a blessing but I don't think either one of us slept much that night. When we got there the doc asked some very thorough questions and I had lots of attention from the staff, not a good sign. He said that he had been up all night thinking about what could be wrong....great. In the end he said everything looks normal and if everything goes right in the next 2 weeks I am fine. I do have to go back in 6 weeks for another ultrasound. Ky said he was really worried. When we went back in to see Dr. E I was convinced he was going to do surgery since he is so cautious. I am glad he didn't! I am still slightly worried but I feel so much better and I think things will turn out fine.
That was quite a long post!
