New Year's Eve

Brooks wanted to push Anderson in the dump truck... We thought Justin was going to have to be taken to the hospital because he had several heart attacks about it!! :)

I think that you should wear this, Anderson.
This year, just as last, we decided to take it easy on New Year's Eve (at least that is what the girls decided to do). We had Justin, Erika and Anderson over for dinner and a little slumber party. Levi, Kim and Noah joined us after dinner to help ring in the new year. We had a good time and the kids were good. Of course, Frankie and Gami decided that they were invincible as they usually do when they are together and I am pretty sure they paid for it the next day and maybe even two for Gami. We had a great time and this is the second New Year's Eve in a row that we have spent with the Afkhami's. Maybe it's a little tradition that we have started.

Playdate

The Monday after Christmas, I had a group of girls and their children over for a playdate and lunch. We had a great time and it was great to catch up on their little ones since it is so rare that we can all get together. There were 8 children at my house ranging in age from 3 months to 3 years. They were all very well behaved and I think that you could have not asked for a better playdate.
Sorry for the lack of pictures. I know that you all have sent me others but I have not saved them to my computer. So this is what you get!!!

Santa Claus

Christmas morning was wonderful!! We woke up at our house and Santa came to visit Brooks. He brought him a new tricycle and few other toys along with some great stocking stuffers. He absolutely loved the tricycle and in the future we may have to hold off on the BIG Santa gift until all other presents are opened because he really could have cared less about the other presents. He just wanted to ride the bike. After opening presents and eating cinnamon rolls we got ready to go to the Gaylord for Christmas brunch. I guess that this has become a tradition since this was the 3rd year for it. It has changed every year and become much more difficult while being so much more thankful for our growing family. Afterwards, we went to The Mays for more presents. Brooks got a water table for outside of course, an art easel and a work bench. They also surprised us with bikes and the trailer thing that pulls kids. It was been great!! We had a wonderful day and are so thankful for both sets of Grandparents and all they did for us for Christmas. Thank you to you all!!

Christmas Eve

I know that this is way over due but I guess better late than never. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve. Frankie worked until 1:00 and Brooks and I hung out at the house getting all of our things together for that evening. We went to church at 3:00 and my brother went with us. I think that as far back as I can remember (or for the past 7 years) Corey has been going to church with us on Christmas Eve. I think that it maybe a little weird if and when he decides to stop that tradition. Service was great and Brooks went to his class. I am always so nervous that we are going to see "B. May" on the screen and have to go get him out of class but he has proven me wrong and does wonderful while we are in Church. After Church we went to my parents for dinner and presents. We decided this year to Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Frankie's. I think that it worked out great. Dinner was wonderful and opening presents was a blast. Brooks got many new things including a big chair from Pottery Barn and one of my presents actually benefited with whole family. We got DVD played for the car and we LOVE them!! Thank you mom, dad and Corey for the great presents. After presents it was bath, milk and bedtime so we left as soon as I knew that Brooks was ready for bed.

What a difference a year makes...

Last years Santa picture (2007)
2008

Last night Levi, Kim, Noah, Frankie, Brooks and I went to see Santa at the Galleria. This is where I went last year and I thought he was a really good Santa. I had already prepared them for how Brooks was going to act so it was not a shock to any of us. I am not going to lie I had a little hope that he would freak out but that all went away when I set him down on his lap and he began to cry. I can honestly say that it was a scared cry. I think that you will be able to see it in the pictures.

After see Santa we went to eat dinner at the Grand Luxe Cafe. I have never been there but it was good and a lot like the Cheesecake Factory and I love the Cheesecake Factory. I know all of my friends that just had their babies have not really had a chance to experience the joys of going out to eat with a child that no longer sits in the carrier and sleeps but I can honestly say that I think that the time has come. The kids were great at dinner especially for it being a little later than I would have like to be eating but they are just so busy all the time!! I told Kim that this is the reason that Frankie and I are going out to eat without our sweet little Brooks Saturday night.

Happy Birthday Hudson

Sorry it's blurry but this is what happens when you eat blue icing!!
Riding Hudson's John Deer tractor that he got for his birthday.
Noah and Brooks taking a bath together.

Saturday night we went to Hudson's first birthday party. We had a great time and Brooks was very well behaved. Actually all the children there were very well behaved which made for and fun and relaxing night. I let Brooks eat TWO of Niki's famous cookies and he loved them and wanted more. Needless to say he did not get anymore. After everyone left we let Brooks and Noah take their first bath together. It was very cute!!

Play Date

Last Thursday Reed and Jessica came to visit us. Jessica brought lunch and we were able to hang out and talk while the kids played. Granted they did not play with each other but they were both very good. I forget what it was like to have a non-mobile child and it's kind of nice. I only got one picture that has them both in it and it is not the best of Brooks but here it is anyways.

Brrrrr... It's cold out here!!

We will be getting rid of this soon but for now WE are both attached to it!!
I bought him this chair last year at Target for 75% off and he loves it.

Brooks absolutely loves the outdoors and really could careless about the temperature. These pictures were taken earlier this week when it first got cold outside.

Loved the Lighting

Again, sorry for the boring posts but thought this was an awesome picture!!

Bathtime Mo-Hawk

I thought this was a cute picture to post. Brooks did this all himself. He like to put the wash cloth on his head and then pull it off. He is a ham!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We finished decorating this weekend and I love it. We put up our tree and I can honestly say I was a little nervous but knock on wood Brooks had not even touched it one time. I am so glad!! He looks at it but really could careless about it at the time. I am looking forward to the next month of holiday fun!!
I will post some of the outside pics tomorrow... Got more stuff to do while Brooks is sleeping!!

McDonald ball crawls

I know that this is a little ridiculous but McDonald and any other ball crawl really gross me out. I know that I will get over it and that Brooks will eventually play in them but YUCK!! But I don't have to give in just yet. Frankie's parents bought a huge "ball crawl" for their house and I love it. No fast food and NO ball crawls... at least until he is able to figure them out at the restaurants.

Thanksgiving

Thank you Erika for the cute PJs!!
Brooks and Mady after their bath. Thanks Grandma for the new towels!!
Uncle Corey and Brooks trying to take a cute picture.
The kids helping clean up after dinner.
Go Cowboys!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the Romo jersey.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Frank and Barb's house. My parents and brother came and Scott, Robin and Mady were there too. Dinner was great with a little bit of my family tradition and some of the May family traditions also. Mainly the food is the big difference. I am use to green bean and sweet potato casserole while the May's do regular corn, mashed potatoes and sour kraut. But no matter which food you liked it was a very nice and relaxing day for the most part.
Right after dinner Frankie came down with the stomach bug. My parents and I had on Monday and I guess I passed it along. Frankie was so sick that I had to leave him at his parents house because he did not think that he could make the hour long trek home. He is finally feeling better after 3 days of this junk and I am praying that Brooks does not get it. I believe that we may have also passed it on to Levi and Kim. Sorry guys! Here are a few pictures from Thanksgiving.
