Christmas 2008

This was such a fun Christmas because Kaya is kind of starting to understand what is going on!  She defiantly understands the concept of presents!  She loved opening each one... as she opened each one she said "what could it be?" and for some reason she always guessed "medicine"... haha I have no idea why!?

Christmas Eve the whole family got together and had dinner then read stories, sang songs, had a little Christmas pageant and talked.... This year Lexie was Mary, Landon was Joseph, Stella was baby Jesus and Kaya was the Angel of the Lord... but Kaya wasnt satisfied unless she could hold "a baby Jesus" also... that's why she is holding a hot pink poodle....  The kids had fun and over all it was a great evening!

Christmas Morning Kaya waited at the top of the stairs for everyone to show up at Mimi and Papa's house but the weather was so bad that no one could come until later... so Kaya opened up her presents all by herself and then about an hour later Stella showed up and got to have her own little Christmas!

Christmas Party

Kristin, Krista, Danielle, Kristin, Coco, Whit, Kaya, Kim and Baby London

Kaya decided that she should do a little dance for baby London to help her to stop crying!  She told Kim that she loved her baby.  Kim said "Is baby London your friend?" And Kaya said "She's my best friend!"  Haha Kaya is so cute and she is so happy she has a new little friend to hang out with!

This year some of our girlfriends decided to draw names and get together for a little Christmas party... Kaya loved it!  She thinks she is just one of the big girls!  We laughed, talked had good times and even danced a little bit.  Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family who we love so much!

Temple Square

Trev and I took the kids to temple square to see the lights.  It was a really chilly night so I made sure to bundle Kaya up really good... probably too good because she ended up looking like the kid off of 'The Christmas Story'....  She loved it, but mostly loved stomping around in the snow, she really didnt care too much about the lights... oh well, at least she had a good time.  We took a little stop in the visitors center and walked up to the big statue of Jesus... as we approached the statue Kaya looked up and said very exaggerated..."oooohhhh myyyyy dooodness (goodness) mommy, Jesus wants a really, really big hug!"  It was the cutest thing ever... She is such a sweetheart and reminds me constantly what life is really all about!  I dropped my camera on this little outing so I dont have any great pictures to show from the evening, but Trevor emailed me this photo from his phone.... Thanks Trev....

My Little Christmas Angel

Kaya was the cutest little Christmas elf for her photo's! She spent the week with all of her cousins for Thanksgiving and we had to get some cute little photos of all of them together! Kinsey and Ayden, Lexie and Landon, Kaya and Stella!

Thanksgiving In Seattle

So, one day Trevor and I were talking and realized that we were both going be childless for Thanksgiving... so instead of being sad about it we decided to take a little vacation.  He had access to some buddy passes and I had a place to stay with some awesome friends in Seattle so we took a trip.  Cam and Erin were so nice to let us stay with them!  Thanksgiving dinner was so yummy and all we needed was a few more days to see some more of the sites in Seattle!   We went to the salmon fish hatchery, Pike's Market, Sci-fi museum, music project experience, and did lots of shopping! We had a lot of fun and with a lay over in San Diego it was almost as if we had 2 vacations in one!  Needless to say, it was a great holiday!

Here's to new experiences....

So, over the last few months, Trevor has opened up my eyes to an entirely new world!  I have learned about things that I never even knew existed... and for those of you who know me... you are about to get a really good laugh...

I went out to the desert with Trev and his two boys, Holden and Talmage.  That is where I shot my first gun! hahaha!  Yes, it's true, I shot a gun and I even hit the target... so watch out people, I'm training to be the next real live Bond girl! (apparently, I have great form! hahahaha....don't judge me!)

And yes, that is really what I wore out to the desert... (i didnt know that is where I was going to end up that day!)
