{Memorial Day}
Kaya, Greg and I had such a fun Memorial Day weekend. We had a sleepover in a fort at Rama and Bill's house (her almost Grandparents) with Kaylee, Ashlyn and Braxton (her almost cousins). They got to jump on the trampoline, swing in the hammock build airplanes and pirate ships out of Legos and eat lots and lots of junk food only to wake up and do it all over again! They had such a great time together. It's nice that Greg's nieces and nephews are all Kaya's age.. they all play together so well. They will make a great addition to Kaya's growing list of cousins. On Memorial day we went shooting (guns) on the west side of Utah Lake. We called it, Monday Gunday! Kaya thought that was pretty clever. After a little lesson on gun safety we headed out to the lake and shot some targets and clay pigeons. Who knew my girly girl would have so much fun doing such boy things. Greg has introduced us to the world of boys and Kaya has no problem jumping right in and loving every minute of it. After all the shooting was finished Rama and Bill threw a super yummy BBQ where the kids did more jumping on the trampoline and stuffing their little bellies full of treats from Rama. Thank you Johnsons for always going out of your way to make things so much fun. We love you so much!! xoxo

{She's a Graduate}
Preschool graduation was so cute. The kids all had speaking parts and songs to sing to the audience. Kaya did such a great job. As the program progressed I just kept getting more and more emotional. I can't believe she is already finished with Preschool and onto Kindergarten next year. She is getting so big. I just kept wanting to hold onto my little baby who isn't such a baby anymore. I'm so proud to be her Mommy and feel so blessed to have her on this crazy adventure we call life. She makes such a great little sidekick and even though I'm sad she is getting older, I know she is growing up to be such a beautiful young lady. I love her so much and can't imagine my life without her.
She told me she is going to miss all of her friends this Summer and especially Ms. Sherry and Ms. Barb next year. We have had an amazing year and Kaya has just gotten smarter and cuter if that is possible. We made lots of good friends that we will be playing with over the Summer. Who knows what next year will bring but we know it will be great!

{End of Year Dance Festival}
Kaya had a dance festival the day before the last day of school. It was super cute. Her class danced to 'Who let the frogs out'. They all wore green and had cute little green froggy hats. I have loved her class this year. All of the kids get along so well and her teachers were phenomenal. Here are just a few shots I got of her performance. Not to mention the amazing backdrop of mountains in the background. We sure are lucky to live in such a beautiful state!

{SLC Children's Museum}
Since I lost my job back in March, Kaya and I have had lots of time to do fun stuff... This unemployment business has actually been just what the doctor ordered. It has given me more time to spend with Kaya than I've ever had and we are both loving it. She is less than excited for me to start my new job up in a few weeks. We will have to squeeze in a little more fun over the next little bit.
We went to the Children's Museum with Kari, Ari and Will about a month ago. The girls loved it. Such a fun place to go and let the kids run around for hours! Thanks for the fun time Page family! We sure love you guys!! xoxo

{Rainy Days Make Great Days}
Kaya loves pretty much any weather she is given, but she especially loves a good rainy day. Probably because we don't get too many of them and she loves a good excuse to throw on her super cute rain coat and boots that she rarely gets to wear.
She's a little ham. Love you baby girl. xoxo
{Easter 2012}
Kaya loves Easter. One of her favorite holidays. I guess waking up to a basket full of candy and toys is pretty awesome. She looked beautiful as always. My little princess is growing up so fast into a little beauty queen. She was excited this year because she had an Easter egg hunt at school, one in Logan, one with Rama and Bill and her soon to be cousins and one at Mimi and Papa's house! Thats a lot of easter eggs. This girl loaded up this year!!! xoxo
I'm Engaged}
(Wow! It's been a while since I last blogged. I have a lot to catch up on. I will start with where I left off and try to go in chronological order. )
I'm ENGAGED!!! Greg and I got engaged on March 10, 2012. {Our first date was on March 9, 2010.} I am truly so happy! There is not a better person that could fit into mine and Kaya's life. The three of us seem to blend so seamlessly.
For a long time I thought that I would be better off just with me and Kaya. I didn't want to get married to anyone unless I found someone who was going to enhance our lives. I wanted to make sure that it was as good for Kaya as it was for me. Sometimes, I wish the 'me', now could go back to the 'me', then and say: 'I hate to spoil the end for you, but everything is going to be okay.' I never thought I'd find my perfect match, but here he is. I saw a quote the other day that seemed to define my life perfectly: "And then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to bloom." Something that I thought would be so scary has seemed to just flow so naturally into an amazing life.
When I first got divorced I wasn't sure I was going to make it. But as time has gone by I have learned to find the beauty in every single day and every single experience. Unknowingly to me, I started a new journey with just me and Kaya almost 5 years ago. I have learned more about myself through my struggles over the last several years than I ever thought was possible. I am so much stronger and better than I ever imagined I could be. I didn't realize the changes I was making until I reflected back on the person I use to be. "Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back...everything is different." I guess, what would be the point of living if we didn't let life change us? I know that I am an entirely different person than I was 5 years ago. My life is not even close to what I thought it would be... but it's better! I guess sometimes you have to let the bad happen to make room for amazing. God really did have a plan for me all along and as soon as I decided to let him take the reigns its been nothing short of perfect. "Your journey has molded you for the greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don't think that you've lost time. It took each and every situation that you have encountered to bring you to the now.. and now is right on time." Most of the time I feel like God was leading me on a direct path to Greg this entire time. I feel so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing person as mine, forever.
I am so happy I took the leap of faith to change my life...Because it takes courage to grow up and become who you really are and live the life you were meant to live.
Next time you think of beautiful things, don't forget to count yourself in. Life is as beautiful as you want to make it... so make it incredible. I know I did!! xoxo
