Hybernation

It's started, and by it I mean the nasty cold weather that comes with living in Utah.
There are many things that I crave as soon as I see snow and rain falling. #1 being my beautiful, always has a normal temperature, home of Vegas but besides that obvious answer I have my winter usuals.

Harry Potter...I have this crazy desire to watch all of the movies and read all of the books all over again for like the five hundredth time. I literally every day just want to come home curl up in a blanket and watch the movies& read each book over and over again. Good news is November 18th....is right around the corner.
Earmuffs!!! I need a pair of these babies right here, right now. But... I don't want any of the above pairs of earmuffs I want those cute headband earmuffs, to stay stylish, of course, and to keep more poor ears from turning pink when the cold canyon winds blow. Sadly, I have no clue where those headband crocheted beauties come from, soon I will find them though.
The final thing I need when the weather takes a turn for the worse is.....
My lovely space heater(dubbed: THE HOTNESS in all caps for emphasis)... identical to the one pictured above. My loving daddy bought this for me about a week ago after hearing how cold my room got and I am pretty sure I haven't turned THE HOTNESS off since. If I was not worried of catching the house, or myself on fire I would cuddle with him in bed every night. He does such a great job of keeping my room and I nice and toasty all day long.
What are some of your winter cravings?
To come: Our Roommate Halloween party & how much it rocked!!

Pastrana... you are my dream.

This weekend I must say was pretty much a blast.
& no, sadly, I did not wear rain boots and a hoodie to the APX dance.
Heres what went down.
We went to a fancy dinner with all of Chris's office, and then drove up to the Salt Lake Country Club for the dance.
It was a great time with Madison, Lori, and all my friends, Chris's office, and some of his family.

The funniest part of the night was the raffle. Upon entering the dance you would get $1,000 dollars of raffle tickets. With these you could just put them in the raffle or try to get more by black jack and other games they had there. So long story short when it came time for the raffle there were tonz of things you could put your tickets into to win. Chris wanted to put them all into the drawing for the macbook, and I was down with that. Yet, I begged and pleaded to put just one lonely ticket in the drawing for the $500 of Nordstrom's stuff.
As the night came to an end we found out the winners. Guess who got the Nordstrom's bag... Yes we did!! Our one lonely ticket had so much power behind it! & Anneli also won 3 American Eagle gift cards and Chris got a Cold Stones gift card. Successful night, I would vote yes.

After the night ended we prepared for another day where some pretty cool things happened. Numero Uno............

Thats right Travis Pastrana was in Utah with Nitro Circus and I loved every second of it. This man is my celebrity crush.  If I could do cool flippity whoopity things on bikes all day long we would do them together..

& don't you worry that was just him skydiving into the arena thing...what a pimp!

Of course there were two pimps in my life that night. Good ol' Pastrana and then this hunky man as well. What a lucky girl I was that night!
&&&&& then.......... I came home to a suprise....
The newest addition to our family of 10 in Paradise Cove...
I'd like you to meet
Koda!
The cutest furriest (he has fat fur) puppy EVER! & we all LOVE him (Natalie is the one exception but he will grow on her)

27 Dresses

Yesterday I felt like I was living in the movie 27 dresses.

Tomorrow there is a big formal; ball, black and white, Grammy, whatever you would like to deem this event, thing for APX, the security company Chris works for. Meaning the men our in Tuxes and the woman in "evening gowns."

After struggling for many hours over what exactly defines an evening gown I decided to just have my mom send every single one of my formal dresses (Thank you Mom!) My closet now looks a lot like the picture above.

Madison & Lori will also be going with their dates so we decided the best way to decide what dress to wear would be to host a fashion show for us three, and Madison's roommates, at Madison's house.

I feel like we literally tried on 27 dresses or more, and yet, none of us have a clue what we are wearing tomorrow.

So for now I've decided: work out shorts, a hoodie, and rain boots are my best option for a formal event, and the most comfortable.
