Darling, I Hold You
No matter the season
No matter the day
I sit and I think of you
Very deeply I’d say
Down deep in my heart
Not quite the same way
You see it’s been broken
And you’re so far away
But darling I hold you
Right here in my arms
The way that I used to
Sensing all of the charms
That we used to taste
On the tips of our tongues
Such a sizzle we made
When we two had fun
The way that we laughed
And oh how we cried
We both pledged our love
Until the day that we died
So how could it be
That I’d ever forget
My greatest of loves
Who brings the torrent
Of tears to my eyes
Who squeezes my heart
Until I cannot breathe
Until my every part
Trembles then shakes
Oh I’m torn asunder
Longing only for you
The lightning and thunder
To my violent storm
You keep rolling in
Out of the blue
You prickle my skin
With heat and then fire
As I rage at the sea
Of love that I feel
Unrequited in me

O’ Hollow Grief
Between daylight and darkness
I catch glimpses of your beauty
Alongside the impenetrable obscurity
Of breathless words
Uttered to the wind
And I long to follow
The bright tale of my joy
Dissipating before me
This surging pain
O’er fragile life
Do dare to fly
O’ loving spirit
Fly evermore
Through sunlit clouds
Beyond the veil
Where quiet waters
Sparkling clean
And smooth as glass
Reflect the Son
There all is love
And all your fears
Were foolishness
Such time we waste
On folly

Inside Rain
I see inside the rain
Those long ago lovers
Dancing in the droplets
That glisten in the darkness
And I defy my sorrow
As reflections of the past
Cast shadows here and there
Over loss of tender love
I hold forevermore
Oh all the shiny diamonds
That shattered fragile glass
They dissipate once more
Buried in the waters
Of every drop that fell
I cast them into hell
Afore revival

Thankful Return

O’ Sentinel Angel
Pass through the thin veil
Let her capture the scent of rose
Whilst divinity hovers
To take my dear mother
‘Neath thy wing—do interpose
Lift her on high to His Majesty’s sky
That she might find rest upon His tender breast
‘Tis my heartfelt offering

Mona
Slowly, she rises
With silver luminescence
Along a skyline
Tinted in shades of purple
To welcome the evening stars

Go, Light Up the Sky
On a rooftop above
The bright city lights
Waiting for her
Into the night
Amid the sweet gardens
Of lily and rose
She looks upon me
Far down below
Through a dark veil
Tempting me so
With soft crimson blush
To pique my desire
She ascends in the hush
To then set afire
The wishes and dreams

Ablaze that she holds
Inside of her heart
Deep in her soul
With shuddering breath
I softly exhale
To light my own candle
And whisper my tale
Bring on the rain
Full Thunder Moon
Put out this fire
That will be my ruin
This love that I hold
I now give to you
For you are so worthy
Honest and true
Go light up the sky
A shimmering gold
Take all of the dreams
My heart can hold
Brighten a path
That leads to the way
For love that will last
Somehow someway

Gaslit

I point out my pain
No sorries for being wrong
It is all my fault
Downcast for rocking the boat
And increasing your worries
My bad attitude
Put me on the back burner
Waiting for your time
But you rarely say the words
That are written on greetings
Love makes my heart leap
But your actions seal the deal
They keep me in place
Holding on for all I’m worth
To the one I love the most
You know I will wait
For you are a part of me
Yet pieces of you
Have become unfamiliar
And I know not why or how
When I want you near
I wander inside a maze
Filled with confusion
Trying so hard to find you
Crying for you to return

Quake!
To our great dismay
She violently trembled
Stoic far too long
Against the perpetrators
Who bore into her body

Yours
We run together
Through a land of ecstasy
Created by two
Where nobody can enter
Except you and me my dear
The love that binds us
Cannot be put asunder
For my faith prevails
Above the arrows that fly
Or severe incantations
My heart is your heart
The blood coursing through my veins
Has a great purpose
To keep love alive
To keep love alive

The One

Where is my true love
The one who always carries
My heart inside his
There a once steady rhythm
Can be felt so close to mine
The tempo rises
My breath suddenly quickens
As though he were here
Touching me with a body
That I have never explored
A hundred lifetimes
I’d wait to make the journey
Die and die again
If just to make acquaintance
With his kiss and his embrace
