We moved!!!!!!

Since I haven't posted anything in awhile I figured it was time and some big changes have happened. We moved from Park City to Salt Lake City on May 1st. We are now living in a 4 bedroom 2 bath house in the Sugarhouse area. We absolutely love it!!!!! The only thing we can't seem to figure out is how we were able to live in a tiny 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment with all the crap we moved. It is now almost July and I still have tons of boxes to unpack and try to find places for all the contents inside. Wow, you really do accumulate TOO much stuff over 13 years of being in one place. Kevin said to me a couple days in the new house "Awe, it is so nice to be back in civilization", I didn't realize that we were living in the boondocks being in the middle of Park City. He is such a nut, but loves the yard and the feeling of being a MAN!!!!! OH OH OH......think of the tool man Taylor on Home Improvement! I will post pics soon. I almost forgot, I have a huge vegetable garden!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Disappointment.............

I haven't blogged in a while and I apologize. I still need to blog about Christmas and put the videos that Kaybree, Daimen and Spencer took of the family and I will. But, today I blog about the pain and disappointment that I have experienced yet again in regards to having a family of my own.
I found out I was pregnant on Thanksgiving day. With mixed feelings I let myself start to hope that this one may actually take. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I can not keep a secret to save my life, although Kevin and I had discussed waiting until after the first trimester to announce it to the world.
Well, all the kids who live in Utah got together on December 4th and took Mom to dinner for her birthday. We all met at Amy's house in Morgan and then carpooled to Taggert's Grill. On the way there Ashlee and Josh rode with Kevin and I and the first thing out of her mouth was the question "are you pregnant".......it was all over from there! I announced it to the whole family that night even though I was only 5 weeks pregnant at the time.
Things were going well until I went for my first doctor appointment. Hearing my history of previous miscarriages and the fact I had been spotting they sent me for an ultrasound and blood testing. The ultrasound showed the baby was growing just the way he should and his heartbeat was a rapid and perfect 155 bpm. All was well except for a subchorionic bleed or hematoma that they found. I was then put on pelvic rest until further notice.
Well, about two weeks later I started spotting again, called the doctor and they put me on bed rest until the bleeding stopped. Well, I couldn't exactly do that, if I don't work I have no money. So, I tried to take it as easy as I could. Well, finally I got scared about the continued spotting and they sent me to get an ultrasound again.......they found that the baby's heart had stopped beating. According to the ultrasound the baby died on New Year's day......Happy New Year to me! NOT!!!!!!
Now, how do we get my body to finally expel the baby? The doctor wanted to do a D&C, but we don't have the money for such a expensive procedure. They prescribed me a drug call misoprostol which will prompt my body to expel all the contents of my uterus. I guess I experienced a rare type of miscarriage called a "missed miscarriage", meaning the baby dies but the body maintains that it is pregnant and the only way of finding out is an ultrasound.
I have been going through all sorts of emotions, Ashlee even called me crazy!!! I probably am, but all I know is that I can't go through another loss. I have done this three times and as they say three times is the charm and obviously it still didn't work. I figure that this is my test in life, to never have the one thing I have always been accused of trying to do to everyone......being their mother. Lesson learned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grandpa is a sucker for his grandkids!

Grandpa loves his grandkids!!!!! Why is it that we never got cool toys like this? Maybe it is because there wasn't KSL.com back then, ya think?

These pictures were taken on Saturday the 27th when we all (Ashlee and her fam, Amy and her fam, Kevin and I with Mom and Dad) got together to go get wood for Dad up at the regular spot!
When Kevin and I got to Mom and Dad's look at the surprise we found........Dad's new toy for the grandkids! I must say we never got anything this cool when we were kids!!!!!

KayBree is a master rider already.....but, don't let Connor get on with you! Ha, ha, ha! Right after Mom got out the sentence that she was worried about the kids getting hurt, KayBree and Connor crashed.....................

Nothing serious happened but a little road rash and some serious bruised egos! It took us the rest of the day to help KayBree get her confidence back.

All is well that ends well. Connor had no problem getting over the crash and eventually KayBree did too.

All I can say is Dad owes us BIG TIME!!!!! I want some big kid toys, Daddy!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't Connor and cutey on the mini 4 wheeler! After the drama of the crash it was time for some massive work! Whose idea was it to cut down the biggest trees?????? Oh, yeah, that was me...... Sorry, Harley!!!!!
After a day of hard work many scratches, scrapes and bruises (for me) we headed home. We didn't get far because the tire on the trailer popped off due to the weight of the wood. Once again, whose bright idea was it to cut down the biggest trees?

Nevermind, whose idea it was......Dad has a bunch of wood right? It wasn't that bad was it, Harley?
After all was said and done.......another fun family outing!!!! Thanks for a great time sister's!!!!!! It is good our husbands are all in the same boat........they married "insane"ly fun girls!!!! Ha ha ha!

Love you all! By the way, thanks for showing up to eat cake but not to do any of the work Adam! Just joking! Our bad for not sending out an invite, lucky you!!!

When is the next adventure????????

Weekend of Football....USU vs. UofU

Last weekend Kevin and I decided to ride to Logan on our motorcycles to go watch USU and UofU face off in a football game. Well, it wasn't much of a game, USU got hammered!!!!!! Our seats were in the middle of a bunch of UofU fans, equipped with a huge retractable flag pole on the end of which was a UofU flag that they would wave when their team was doing well.....which was the whole time!! Towards the end I think they felt so bad for the home team that they put the flag away. Poor USU, they got stomped on their own home turf.

Anyways, it was going to be too late to ride all the way back to Park City that night so we had made plans to stay with Ashlee and Josh. When we arrived in Logan, before we headed to the game, we dropped off our stuff at their house. KayBree and Daimen were so excited to see us until they found out that we weren't staying for long. So, being the SUCKER for my "kids" that I am, I promised that I would take them to get ice cream after Kevin and I got back from the game. Because of the horrible butt kicking that USU was getting we decided to leave a bit early. When we finally got back to Ashlee's the first thing that KayBree said to me is "We've been waiting all night long!!!!!" Daimen of coarse pipes up "Yeah, Eefa! We waitin for ice ceem long time". So, off we went to Charlie's Ice Cream Parlour to get the kids the treat I had promised.

It was such a site to see...... Ashlee the kids and I smashed into the back seat, Josh driving (like a maniac) and Kevin TRYING to cram his large self into such a tiny car! The whole way there Daimen had to tell me that he was going to get gubble bum (bubble gum) ice cream, which turned out to be very blue and not at all tempting. KayBree got a chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve ice cream cone, which she immediately ate all the chocolate off before she started on the ice cream. We found a table inside but the kids decided they wanted to eat outside.....we got outside and the kids immediately found out it was too cold, they lasted less than a minute and we were off to the car to head home.

Okay, I just have to say how amazed I am with bedtime at the Raisor's house. All Ashlee did was tell the kids to get their pj's on and then told them to get into bed and closed their doors. That was it!!!!!! No fussing, no problem! Wow! Also, KayBree has these really cool underwear that, I was told, beep at her if she starts to pee the bed. What will they come up with next?

Ashlee, Josh, Kevin and I decided to stay up and watch movies. After going over the movie selection that they already had available we decided to run to Hollywood Video to rent something new. Obviously, we also had to get some munchies to complete movie night!!!!!! Popcorn, peanut M&M's, Sour Patch Kids and Lemon Heads......all the good stuff!

The next morning Daimen and I woke up first (although I never really got to sleep thanks to my husband SNORY) and we decided to watch the cartoon movie All Dogs Go to Heaven and eat the remaining popcorn and M&M's. Soon KayBree joined us. Then I had the kids go jump on the mattress Kevin was sleeping on to wake him up. They had a blast jumping around and I had a great time watching and laughing. After they successfully woke Uncle Kevin up we decided to go to IHOP for breakfast.

After breakfast Ashlee and her family had to get ready to go to church and we needed to get on the road to get back home. We also needed to stop in Morgan to see Amy and the new sludge baby she had delivered a couple of days before. Amy, being the lil' Helen that she is, insisted on doing TOO much TOO soon, so she was moving a bit slow. We stayed long enough for Conner to read me 6 books that he got from school. Wow, my "kids" are all getting so big!!!!!! Back on the road and homeward bound........all and all it was a fun good weekend, but it seemed to last so LONG!!!!

Thanks Ashlee and Josh for letting us stay with you! I already miss the kids! Oh, I forgot to mention that Daimen can spell his name for you all by himself!!!!!!!

Amy, would you please rest so you can heal properly! STUBBORN bee-otch!!!!!!!

Love you both SISTERS!!!!!

Kaden's 14th Birthday Party!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, dear Kaden! Happy Birthday to you!!!!! Wow, I can't believe it has been 14 years already!

Oh, to have the days back of little Kaden and his Barney videos, his love of Grandpa's Dr.Pepper and let's not forget the mullet haircut! I don't feel a day older until I see my "kids" grow up! I guess I am OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I must say that this was one of the funnest family get togethers I've been to in a long time! No, drama.......just FUN! Kevin and I rode our motorcycles to Morgan......mostly because it is my way of bribing Harley to allow me in the door, or better yet, to distract him by letting him ride the bike while sneak into the house! Ha ha ha! Anyways, by the time we got there Ashlee, Josh, Marlee and the kids were all there.

Ashlee, Amy and I have a tendency to joke in an inappropriate way sometimes, much to our husbands enjoyment! So, we started our usual banter the minute we got together and by the time our parents got there it was in full swing. Mom just gets disgusted by it and shows her disapproval with her appalled face! That face just fuels our fire and results in us taking the conversation even further into the gutter!!!! To Amy's credit though, she tries to appease Mom and explain away our behavior! Good times!!!!!

Amy and Harley made an awesome dinner that we all stuffed ourselves with and the birthday cake was INCREDIBLE. Good thinking Amy on the microwave trick, melty icing is the best with ice cream!!!!

Playing "H O R S E" with Spencer, Kaden and Kevin was so much fun. Especially when Spencer, after missing 3 shots, yells out "I'm a hor" pronounced whore. Yes, I am the best aunt because of the things I get my boys to say! What would Mother say??????

Speaking of...... Kaden, do you remember an instance when you were little about 3 or 4, I was babysitting you and Spencer, and I had the laundry basket on my feet.....you came up to me and asked, "What the hell is that Aunt Lefa"? I never had such a hard time keeping a straight face as I did trying to explain to you why that was a bad word! I laughed and laughed after that, when you weren't around of coarse!!!!! Your swearing was SO CUTE because you were completely unaware that you were saying anything wrong! I also remember a story of you driving with Grandpa and a stupid lady driver in front of him made him mad and he called her a "stupid bitch" and you said it back to him. He had to warn your mom that he had taught you a new naughty word! You also loved to say "damn it" thanks to your dad!

I think that all in all it was a great day for all of us!!! Daimen is ball of energy, KayBree and Conner are inseparable, Spencer is becoming a pre-teen and with that comes the moodiness, Kaden is just a TALL teenager and Tyler is no longer little "stinky"! Wow, once again we are getting so OLD.

To top off the evening Kevin and I took Ashlee and Marlee on a motorcycle ride and needless to say I think the whole town of Morgan heard Ashlee screaming! I need to learn how to NOT to drop my bike when I have Marlee on the back and I come to a stop on a hill! Ha ha ha! Sorry MarsBars! Kevin also took Spencer for a ride and he came back a popsicle! Harley had the same result when he took my bike out.....it was cold!

Kevin just informed me that Spencer asked him if we were spending the night. Kevin told him no and asked Spence why he wanted us to stay over, he immediately replied that it was because we are SO COOL! We may be old but we can still be cool! Bonus!

Amy and Harley, I just want to let you know we had a fabulous time and thank you for including us! Once again HAPPY BIRTHDAY KADEN!!!!!!!!

Thanks Ashlee!!! :o)

Well, thanks to my lil' sis I now have a blog to tell the world.......nothing! I don't have much to report and I don't really know what this blog thing is all about, but here goes.

It was Kevin's birthday on Sunday the 3rd of August and for his celebration we rode our motorcycles to Bear Lake on Monday the 4th. We met Ashlee (the lil' sis who is responsible me writing this boring blog), Josh and the kids for a day of fun in the sun. We got there no problem, although that is a LONG ride on a small 500cc sport bike, Kevin's bike is a big luxury sport touring 1200cc bike that rides like a Cadillac (can you hear the jealousy in my words?).

So, back to the story, we did finally get there safely and met up with Ashlee and the fam. Off to rent a jet ski and the fun begins...... Ashlee and Josh first tried to tell Kevin and I that they weren't going to ride on the jet ski (Yeah right, are they serious?), so Kevin and I took the kids out one at a time. Daimen went first and wasn't too impressed so we took him back to the beach. Next came Kaybree, she thought it was alright until Kevin let his adrenaline kick in and scared her because he went too fast. She was also very worried about the sharks that live in the water.....to show her that it was safe I threw myself into the water, but she wasn't convinced. So we took her back to the shore. I then told Ashlee to go with Kevin for one ride.......that was the beginning of the end! She was hooked, I guess Kevin threw her off a couple of times and showed her how to drive it very responsibly, NOT!

I must tell you that one of the reasons Kevin and I are attracted to each other is because we are both adrenaline junkies of the highest level!!! We first realized this when we went to the L.A. county fair.....we went on every crazy ride that we could find! Last summer we went to Bear Lake with our friends Dan and Sandee to experience, for the first time, the fun of a jet ski and immediately fell in love. You can be as crazy and stupid as you want and all that happens is you get wet! You can't do this on a motorcycle so you get the same rush with less risk of bodily harm!!!! It is an absolute blast!

So by the time Kevin and Ashlee came back she was hooked. Josh was next and had a great time as well. So for the two people who said weren't going to ride on it........ they never got off! I got back on once after I took the kids with Kevin, but being the loving protective husband that he is, he kept trying to through me off......after several attempts with no success he got more extreme with his turns and I went flying with my $100 plus sunglasses on my face but along with me went flying off my face into the lake. I was pissed so I never got back on...... my own fault! Sometimes I can be so stubborn that I cheat myself out of having fun! Maybe a fish on the bottom of the lake is lucky enough to be styling in some Smith slider glasses! Lesson learned!

I did have fun on the beach with the kids though! I buried Daimen ("Eefa can you help me")about 50 times to his delight and played with Kaybree in the water ! Overall it was a great trip and I know Ashlee and her fam had a blast as well!!!!!

Oh, I want to tell Ashlee and Josh THANKS for dinner after a great day of fun and sun at "Kaybree's" Bear Lake.

We then had to ride back at dusk with all the wonderful bugs out.....our helmets and bikes are MASS murders of millions of unlucky bugs. It was a very long ride back and at some points very cold. We got home safely at about 10pm. Long but satisfying day!
