Frame-a-Day 2011!

I've been challenged, and I'm going to do it! I've pledged to myself to do a blog book using a frame a day, capturing all the little things that never get on camera. I'm going to take one photo a day, or blog a little quote, something funny the kids, did, or just a story. What a treasure this will be in the coming years to look back on! Oh, and I'm already a day behind...

Here you will see our kiddo's snuggled in our new bedroom set, one that went from a donut run on New Year's Day morning, and turned into "just looking" to price out bunk beds for our two wild and crazy boys! Thank you Nebraska Furniture Mart for having the deal of the century on a 7 piece set King set for our bedroom, one we've been looking for and talked about for quite awhile! We've been in and out all day long, and enjoying lots of snuggle time, something we do best!! The boys both got to watch a movie before nap time today and here's what came about! E was asleep within 3 minutes, and P snuggled with his "Bumblebee" (transformer) Pillow Pet! Fun fun!

Till tomorrow...

My Big Guy!

Ok, my poor family has taken the backseat on this poor little blog! I can't believe I haven't blogged forever. Last Tuesday was P's first day of preschool at Terri's! We are all adjusting very nicely except the amount of time it takes to get everyone to their stations in the morning, and the fact that E is missing big brother terribly. It's hard breaking in the morning when he leaves for school, and points to his empty seat in the car. I wasn't ready for him to go, but he was ready and is making HUGE gains. He's learning all his numbers, manners, lining up, and yesterday he told me he got to "paint". He loves it and I love it that he does! He gets to go to the art center with stickers, and comes home with numerous activities, and projects each day. He's totally excited about his "bumblebee" (Transformer) backpack. Shine on P! You are making us so proud!

One of my fav pics right now! They really love eachother!

E in the background is wondering what all the fuss is...in due time child, in due time! :)

I'm Officially a Soccer Mom!

It's soccer time, and I am officially a soccer mom in the mini! I love it...I've looked forward to soccer I think more than my little guy. Monday night was the official start night, but since it had rained, of course the fields were muddy. Yeah, try explaining that to a three year old! It's all he's talked about! Here's the record of our evening...we have wonderful coaches who are great with the kids. I don't envy their job one bit! Thank you Coach Bryan and Coach Brooke! The only trouble of the whole night was trying to convice E that he wasn't a big boy and couldn't join in on the fun...something tells me these two will be on the same team at some point growing up! :)

My little Shy Guy! (didn't take him long)
He got right in there!
My favorite!

Yep, he's got a little (ok, maybe a lot) of his momma in him! Already made a friend!
In action!
So, coach, what do you think? Think I would make the cut for the three year olds! ?
Ok, the water bottle will do for now, but if you need a sub, let me know!
Practice is over...Go Eagles!
I think I'll practice all the way to the car!
Good job #10! I'm proud of you!
Needless to say, we didn't have to fight this one to get to bed last night...he was pooped! He loved it, and secretly this little momma loved it even more!

P-ism!

Many times as we are running around, J and I participate in a stiff competition to see who can strap "who" into the car seats the fastest! The kids love it! And boy does it make them laugh...it's amazing how fast they can get out of a slump when the competition starts! Of course, P always wins, whoever is putting him in his seat! (you've got another thing coming to you P when E gets a bit older!) Passerby's must think we're the craziest family ever, since it gets super intense. The winner always proudly screams, "We did it, haha!" I know, not the best thing to teach our children, but a healthy competition is good right???

Lately, we've been trying to save time in order to get home and play outside after work...a lot of times if there are errands we need to run, J will meet us wherever, and then we "race" home to see who wins! This particular day, we chose to race daddy home! As I'm putting P in his seat, we have this conversation:

Mommy: P, we're going to win! We're going to beat daddy's socks off!
P: Huh? (You could tell his little mental wheels were turning)
Mommy: Yeah, we're going to beat daddy's socks off!
P: No, we can't do that...then he will be WEALLY cold!
Mommy: You're right...he will be, but we're still gonna win!

Anyway, I love this age...love how much they learn! Good times!

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!

Three years ago our lives changed for the better forever!
P had his birthday party this weekend and we got to celebrate with lots of friends and family. P's grandparents were all there and we even got to have P's great grandma with us for the afternoon! I'm always reminded on events like this how amazing our neighborhood is with sweet families, and wonderful kids. We sure have a good time when we're all together! P even got to have a friend of his from daycare over to play as well! He had a great time, and I'm sure by the looks of the pictures everyone else did too! Thanks for being a part of his special day!
Happy Birthday Bubbo! We love you!

Little Man having a great time!
A even came in party attire!
Favors for our guests...they were supposed to represent canteens to go along with our army theme. I know, it's a stretch, but the kids enjoyed them!
Everyone's having a great time!

Boy, I wish I could play basketball with the "big" boys!

There wasn't any wind today, so P got to blow out his candles for real this time! Good job buddy!
Cake and icecream!
Love that smile!
The long awaited "bicycle"! He wanted one so bad...did he ride it all afternoon? Uh, nope!
Oh, but E did! Thanks to Uncle J!
The gift of the day I believe was the knight in shining armor set! We've slept with the sword and the helmet every night since then! Thanks M family! We're so going to miss you guys!
Can't wait for this year! It's going to be a good one!

Birthday Boy!

We had a great birthday week so far! Stay tuned for more birthday party pictures from this weekend!

This first picture has nothing to do with birthday, but thought it was pretty cute...E has a little buddy, B! We got to watch our friends' little girls one night last week. We got to enjoy a beautiful evening outside! So cute!

This is the beautiful view out my kitchen window on MANY nights!
Love, love, love where we live! :)

We went to T-Rex to celebrate P's birthday! E got a big kick out of it too since he got ice cream for dessert!! He's such a happy baby! Love that smile!

I'll take chocolate milk! It's my birthday! This kid is all about his chocolate milk!

And some ice cream please!

Family pic out at Legends! Love where we live! The boys thought these new vehicles were pretty neat! :) Must have been a requirement for all my boys to wear grey that night! Guess I didn't get the memo!

Opening presents on my actual day "on" the basketball court! I LOVE opening presents now! :)

Game night here we come! Thank you Aunt Lisa...we can't put the army soldiers down! Not sure they'll stay on the table at the party!

Little Man!

Playing with my new mitt with the new playset behind!

Oh, this summer will be so much fun...I anticipate lots of picnics on and under the fort!

P's into picking mommy flowers!

I love it when he picks these flowers...get em out of the yard!

It was a tad windy, so the candles wouldn't light! You wouldn't have known it at all though, he didn't care...I told him to pretend to blow them out! What a trooper!

Happy 3rd Birthday little (BIG) P! We love you so much buddy! You're growing up way too fast, but we love seeing you learn and grow!

Easter Weekend!

I know I always say we have fun, but this weekend was great...nice weather, playing outside, got some landscaping done, indoor chores done (with a nice day off yesterday for Easter Monday), and just some over all good quality Family Time! Hold on, there's a lot!

P doing what P does best now...we can't read to him, HE knows how to read (so he says..). Love it...the teacher in me has waited for this day where he chooses to read on his own! I caught him this way one day!

Went out to the Legends for some Easter Egg fun! See below for the big let down on going to see the Easter bunny...have you ever seen such a sight?? I mean, where's the cute back drop for picture taking for the momma!!???

Here is E...very seldom EVER in the stroller anymore..he wants to be doing what big brother does....WALK!

Funny picture huh??!! P had to look just like Daddy!

Here you go blog readers!!!??? P referred to this lovely Easter bunny as a "chickmunk"! Nice! This is the best Easter Bunny photo we got for 2010!

E's turn!

Silly E! Always smiling!

Easter Egg dying! So fun!

He's not a birthday boy just yet...just a jammie shirt he wanted to wear! We've grown out of all of our "cool" weather jammies!

Sweet smile! Love this picture! He's losing his baby fat!

Easter morning! My handsome boys!!!!

Easter egg hunt time!

Look what I got!

Look what I got! E was content with just the basket and crawling around in the grass!

Uncle J, helping out E!

Practicing with back light for all you photogs out there! I love something about this picture! Check out the peach fuzz and his hair! He loves his tuft of hair up there...he's a twirler! We went outside Easter Evening...it was a beautiful evening...so perfect. E is actually in no clothes because we are on our way to the bath, when we decided to head out to the back yard for some more basketball and outdoor activities! WE LOVE OUR BASKETBALL COURT! It has so many uses! :)

P helping daddy keep our new sod slightly "damp"! Yeah right, P wanted to spray everything!

What a great Easter...thank you Lord for all you have done for us! We are blessed beyond measure!
